Okay, new rule: everyone who has "doesn't do teamwork" or some sort of rewording of that, take it out of the weakness section and put it in the personality section. I'm tired of seeing it used as a weakness just because people are too lazy to think up something real. The weakness section is for things that your enemies can use against you to create interesting counterplay, and "doesn't do teamwork" doesn't fit there at all.
I think that the previous use was better, but I still contend that 5 minutes is way too long for it to last. It could have some devastating results if it last 10-60 seconds.
They somehow managed to get turtle girl flipped back rightside, but apparently it would have been better to leave her as she was. Now she wanted to talk. And, of course, talking was fine, there was nothing wrong with talking -it beat getting shoved around downstairs, after all- but the wind up here was loud enough that Coral had to strain even her Faunus-sensitive ears to hear whatever was being said. Something about not being aerodynamic and his name being Esther.

Or, rather, her name, likely, what with a name like Esther. Not many males had that particular name. Unlike Gerald. That was a very male name, certainly no confusion there.

"And I'm Coral!" she yelled over the wind, figuring that getting introductions out of the way without people having to ask might result in people not asking, which was always good. When they asked, they generally also expecting to shake your hand, and if you decided that you didn't wish to do that, it turned very awkward, very quickly. Though Esther had already brought the awkward to the party, it would help no one for Coral to make it worse.

@Kiddo - I appreciate the constructive criticism. Do you mind if I PM you and hash out the finer details to adjust Kuhaku's Semblance?

Sure thing.

@Kiddo - what, in your opinion, would be a more fitting semblance?

If you Skype (or PM, I guess) me we can discuss this in private
It had already been an interesting day at Cafe Magmar. Strangers weren't exactly a rare occurrence, but so many in one day, and all of them asking about Willow's ridiculous Adventurer's Guild idea was quite weird. Then there was the arrest right in front of the shop, and some Rhyhorn stampeding through... it was only just past the lunch hour, and already Magby was ready to close up shop and go suck its thumb in cowering terror in the corner. Of course Magmar would have nothing of that, though, even when a be-caped Abra teleported right behind Magby and made him jump a whole two feet into the air.

"Heh heh, did I scare you? My apologies." Abby surveyed the scene with mild interest before shrugging and walking around the quaking baby Pokemon. He grinned and he skirted the remnants of the recent Rhyhorn stampede, and spotting the culprit still jammed into the wall, surrounded by officers who tried to pull him out while also trying to get the crowd to move along. And, of course, where he wasn't wanted was the perfect place for Abby.

"Hello, officers, what appears to be the problem today?" he asked with a cheerful tone as he approached the scene.

"Nothing to see here, move along, please," one of the Growlithe responded without turning around from trying to pry the wall off of their suspect.

"Ah, of course," Abby said, complying by walking past and right into the police house. He could deal with the Rhyhorn later if necessary, but for now he was here for something else.

"Hello. What do you need?"

"Ah, yes, I'd like to speak to the-" Abby's response was interrupted as the object of his journey came barging out through the back door. "Yes, him."

Sergeant Arcanine was also not having a very good day. First the Adventurer's Guild, then suspicious strangers beating up his sheriffs, and now he was hearing that someone had attempted to break into the jail. He was just on his way to deal with that when the Abra foolishly stepped right into his path, forcing him to come to a stop or run over the idiot. He growled in frustration, "Please get out of the way citizen."

"Oh, I was just wondering about the Pancham you have here. There's nothing stopping her from leaving." Abby continued smiling at the toothy mouth inches from his face, his eyes glowing a brighter red for just a moment.

"There's nothing stopping her from leaving. Now get out of my way!" Abby did as commanded, and the Arcanine barged out the door to go handle the situation outside.

"You heard the boss. So, you'll get the Pancham for me right away." Abby had turned his attention to the Growlithe behind the desk, who nodded along wonderingly.

"I'll get the Pancham for you right away, just wait a moment." The Growlithe fiddled around until he found his keys, and then retreated into the back rooms, Abby hot on his heals.

He glanced back but nodded when Abby assured him "Everything is okay." They made their way to the cell where Isra was being kept. The Growlithe unlocked her cell and ran off when Abby shooed him away.

"You're free to go, ma'am. I'm sure that everyone is extremely sorry about the misunderstanding," Abby informed her, bowing and gesturing to her things.

Kuhaku

I'd like to see a change to Trap Glyphs before acceptance. Something about having 10 mines that last a few hours doesn't sit with me well: I'd like them to not be trip mines, and instead require Semblance activation. Even a thought would be good enough, but I dislike the idea of having to 1) keep track of ten mines as a GM and 2) having a 300-foot-radius area that's impenetrable. Requiring mental activation would create more counterplay by allowing the mines to be snuck past or allowing enemies to charge through from multiple entrances (such that Kuhaku can't focus on every entrance quickly enough to catch them all).

If your character weren't such a powerful close-combat specialist with very little counterplay (his counterplay being "keep at range" but he has a zero-cooldown gap closer to make this a silly proposition), I'd be alright with the Trap Glyphs as proximity mines: in fact, I'd vastly prefer that. The idea of being extremely powerful when fighting on your own turf or if you're given enough time to setup is a balanced fantasy that hasn't been addressed by the other characters. But being that and extremely powerful without your Semblance is a stickler for me.

The Semblance doesn't feel like it fits the character. But, it's also so low-powered that I don't feel like there's anything wrong with it except for a missed opportunity. Just understand that no matter how amazing your character is, for balance reasons you're likely to lose if your opponent has their Semblance up, since you make the tradeoff of better sustained damage for lacking the burst and power of a Semblance.

I like the character as long as the duration of the Semblance is reduced considerably. I feel like one minute should be the longest duration.
