Roxy shrugged. Her knives were her security blanket. She knew that she could depend on them. "No one helps someone else without a reason. This kids have no reason to help me." She continued down the hall. She growled low in her throat when he shoved her against the wall. "Yea like I'm going to trust you now. Your just like the rest of them. Out for amusement or power. Well screw you." She stormed off down the hall.

Alastair grabbed her hand, "Hey I'm sorry but I was trying to show you that if I wanted to hurt you I would, But go ahead don't trust me either way I'm going to keep my word and protect you." Alastair said letting go of her hand and letting her keep walking.

"Because I don't trust people. I like knowing that I can defend myself whether the threat is close to me or far way. I feel almost naked without my knives." She explained. "I have carried a knife on me since I was 5."

"So you don't trust people, even right now you feel on edge like anything could happen? And that scares you because you don't believe that anyone will you or that you won't be able to fight them off without a wepon." Alastair stared at her for a moment, then quickly flung himself at her grabbing her by the wrist and pushing then agenist the wall. "You're weak without you're wepons Roxy that's the sad truth. But I like you so you really don't have anything to worry about I'll try my best to protect you." He said with a smile back up as releasing her.

"Look I didn't mean to offend you. I haven't interacted with many people my age. I am uncomfortable not having my knives and it is putting me more on edge then usual. I wasn't planning on talking to anyone but you seemed like a good place to start."

"It's alright and understandable being in a new environment is difficult and not having something you hold close to you will put you on edge, The thing I hold close to me isn't a wepon though it's my necklace." Alastair said removing his necklace from under his shirt. "Why are you edge without your knives though?" He asked curiously.

Roxy shrugged. "I don't like people." She explained. "But I promised my parents I would try. You seemed less lame then the others."

"Hmm that's interesting and alright." Alastair said looking at her, He didn't like people who wasted his time and if she was just talking to him because she was bored then she would be wasting his time.

Roxy shrugged. "I heard some of the others complaining that they couldn't eat. Like a school set up for unusually beings wouldn't take their food and eating habits into considerations." She explained. "Yea well. I promised to pretend like I wanted to interact."

Alastair turned to her, "So you're pretending to want to talk to me?" Alastair asked in a serious manner shifting his eyes to meet hers.

"I suppose not. As long as you stay out of my personal space." Roxy replied. She figured it would look good to whoever reported to her parents that see was interacting with someone. "Shall we go see if they have anything eatable? You do eat don't you?"

"I love food, and why do you have to ask like that? Me and you are the same children of the gods." He said with a smile. "Thank you by the way you're the first person that talked to me since I've been here." He said thinkin if earlier in the class room.

Roxy rolled her eyes. She knew that there were gods who thought their charm and powers should entitle them to anything they wanted. They had no respect for those that had less power then then did. She couldn't stand gods like that. If Alastair was one of those he would do better trying it with someone else. "I suppose their is but we haven't been shown anything yet. Just told where to go."

Alastair laughed when he notice her roll her eyes at his comment, "I wasn't flirting with you I actually like your name. Also alright so you don't mind if I just tag along with you the whole time right?" Alastair said looking at Roxy.

Roxy smirked. Even with her powers gone she larked in the shadows. It was habit of hers. She didn't like people much. They annoyed her. However she had promised to try to interact. This seemed like as good of a time to do so as any. "You can call me Roxy."

"Pretty name." Alastair said keeping his eye on her, "So are there dorms that you could show me to or?" He asked curiously.
