Roxy stumbled as she landed on the floor of the gym. She hadn't gotten her animal companion. She had gotten close. She hoped that she would get another chance. She stood to her feet and looked around. Atleast no one had seen her crash.

Alastair appeared behind Roxy as she was tripping, when she went to look around to see if anyone noticed he walked to her side, "You okay there?" He asked with a smile with his wolf beside him. He knew Roxy didn't care much for him but he was hoping this would lighten up the tension atleast.
Alastair ignored the boy and kept searching the room he got up with his drink in his hand and headed towards the stage where he heared music he looked back at Jacque and gestured for him to follow him as he headed for the stage he looked form girl to girl he knew the siren would feel their preccenece, all Alastair had to do now was analyze all the girls.

Kido pouted at the boy who asked the question, looking very childlike as he did so. "Are you taking notes? I just told you that there would be tests, and I expect at least some of you to pass." Seeing that Felice was giving a strange look, he sent a pout in his direction as well, somehow making the boy's eyes widen slightly and look down to the paper he had in front of him. Satisfied that he had gone back to his own notes, whatever those may look like at that point, the shorter boy smiled again and turned to Roxy. "Sorry about that, Miss. As for the question: History provides context. It can provide us with an alternative interpretation, a more physically oriented one." He stopped for a moment, seeming to think about something. "Does that make sense? What I mean there is...ah, it gives us the chance to understand possible allusions present as well as better understand the thought process that is behind the verses, rather than only think about it solely through the emotional abstracts we can quickly perceive upon the first few glances. Well, and we can gain clues about the diction choices, but we can get to that part in a few minutes." "Since I just mentioned allusions, I might as well make sure you all understand what I mean by that." The auburn-haired boy pointed up to the board again at another word with its definition beneath. "A passing reference, an oblique or obscure reference. In other words, someone trying to mention something without outright saying it. People do this in daily conversation, even, but when it comes to poetry, it usually means a brief nod at another work of literature or an event that the audience is assumed to already have information about." "Now, this is why it's important for writers to consider their audiences when creating their works. If there isn't a certain level of knowledge present in the audience, then the allusion becomes meaningless. At least, until it is . That's why we study history and literature, though, isn't it? To understand why things like this exist and why people do what they do in general. Of course, skilled writers can probably reference if they know their audience well, but those kinds of things are hard to catch if you don't already understand what the writer and the audience have in common. As a result, there are probably possible interpretations and clues about poetry that even seasoned scholars will never understand..." The boy closed his eyes and sighed in what seemed like disappointment before smiling up at the class again. "Ah, well. Enough about that for now. If there are no other questions, then I'll start with the history. Oh, but if you think of anything important or get confused about something, feel free to raise your hand. I'm happy to explain anything you want to know about this fascinating subject!" With that, Kido began to launch into the first appearances of the poem and the possible influences that known English history may have had on it. Felice, on the other hand, continued writing on his paper, pausing every now and again to look up toward the front of the room. On the side of his paper, the words were messily scrawled:

Dante stood up and bowed to kido, "very nice you forgot to mention the part where history has a uncanny way of repeating it's self, from super powers and their down falls to eradication of races." Dante came back up and walked to the door, "But Mr. Kido have to leave for a moment I do hope that I can make it back in time to hear you continue. "I'll be back soon." He said smiling as he headed out the door.
Ahh
Alastair sat in his room freezing, he kept trying to make flames to warm himself but couldn't, "God dammit. All I can ever make is this pathetic little flame!" He shouted as he tried agin making a small flame once more he smashed his hand against the freezing wall. Alastair got out of his bed and put his was against the wall thinking of how things weren't going as well as he planned he felt horrible even with his healing taking all these punishments was starting to hurt his body was covered in burns, cuts, and even lashings from the bull whip and now he was freezing. But the thing that really made him mad was the fact that even through it all the others just thought of his as a self righteous prick. "Let's see who will take the beatings or you then! Let's see who will look out for you damn assholes!" Alastair yelled watching his arm explode into flames they were a much darker color now and seemed to almost have a heart beat the flames raced up his arm their dark color blending well with his arm. "Well fine you won't see me protect you anymore." Alastair said starting to calm down he watched as the flames crawled back down his arm into his palm there was a moderate size flame in his palm giving off warmth. Alastair just looked into thinking of what to come.

Jacque smirked for the briefest of moments as Alastair took his joke in good stride, however, as he donned his scowl once more, it may have been as though the smirk had never existed. "Well so long as you avoid hitting me in the head too hard you can more or less do whatever you need to stop me if I go crazy. Let's get this over with, but remember, we can't blow our cover." Jacque said as he clenched his fists, enjoying momentarily the sound of his knuckles popping from the action. The ghoul breathed in deeply, his nostrils flaring slightly as he took in the collective scent of multiple humans crammed into the building. Jacque involuntarily growled softly as his olfactory senses immediately caused him to associate the smell of people with food, however he continued to sniff the air, hoping to find a trace of something distinctly nonhuman within the building.

Alastair pushed against the door he was leaning on opening it, "Well here we go." He said walking into the casino expecting his partner to follow, he wandered over to the bar and ordered a drink. He figured this would be the best way to fit in, while he was waiting for his drink he leaned against the bar and decided to scan the casino he figured the siren would be in the entertainment section of the building and after he got his drink he would head that way.
*Inhales deeply* oh god I'm alive
Yay! It's back up

"Sirens...lovely. Well that's one creature I can cross off the list of things i've had to subdue. Or rather, I would if this were all real." Jacque stated as he stood on tip toes and peered over the crowd to view the street signs. In truth, the ghoul was actually moderately intrigued by the notion of running across a siren, if only to find out whether or not its song would affect an undead like himself. After a few seconds of searching, Jacque spotted one of the signs he was looking for, then spotted the casino itself not too long after, "I think we've found our mark. Hey, with all the gambling that's going to be happening in there, you should fit right in, what with being a devil and all." Jacque half joked.

"Yeah you could say that haha, I mean I do love gambling." Alastair said with a laugh at Jacque's joke. Making his way towards the casino he arrived at the doors stopping. "So are you ready for this I don't know how you'll be affected by the sirens but they won't be able to enchant me very easily with their voices." Alastair sai leaning against the door waiting for his partners answer.
