I stop laughing completely and stare at you, suddenly serious, and curious. "Why? What's the point of all of this? She's going to die, it's natural, you'll die too someday, so why fight what you cannot, why make deals with us and compromises and what not?"

"I'm the kind of guy who tries to avoid violence when possible. I know I'm no match for you, or your dad." I explain "I am going to keep tsubaki from dying for as long as possible.
