The zombie apocalypse had already begun. No one knew how to stop it. If they could. Just as humanity faced its darkest hour, things were about to get worse. For there was more than just zombies to deal with. There was another threat. Creatures whose existance was buried deep in myths and legends. Creatures who stalked the night and preyed on the innocent and unprepared. Vampires. Fast-forward into the future. Not really that much time has passed, and a majority of the human race has already been wiped out, leaving only millions. Not even tens of millions.
A lot of people died needless to say
The few survivors roaming. Looking for food, shelter, and safety. All while fending off the deadly new creatures that roam the earth. And many terrors of the night struggling to keep their greatest resource from going extinct, all while their kind are locked in a battle to rule the new world
Yep, vampires and zombies in a post-apocalyptic world
name: age: appearance(pic not necessary): race(most likely human): clan(only if vampire. Will go more into detail): Abilities(not necessary for human chars): weapons: bio:
That's it.
human: probably the easiest to kill, but they can still be a force to be reckoned with. Due to the human inability to burst into flames during a sunlit stroll, and the fact that they can use guns. Vampires can too, but we'll get to that later
And by later I mean it's up next
Vampire: this rp is based on an rp I did on steam chat. I kinda encountered the issue of a vampire char making things too easy. So let's lay down a few ground rules.
1. The char must not have any powerful abilities. at least not too powerful. Minor hypnotism is one that's allowed, but not full on psychic abilities.
2. There will be vampires capable of tearing through a tank like wet tissue paper. None of the chars will be those vampires. With at least a few exceptions based on what clan it's from.
3. For the love of god no special weaknesses. I shouldn't have to say this, but I feel I should. Vampires will have some healing abilities and higher pain tolerance, but any wound that kills instantly has to kill the vampire. Or if there are severe wounds being inflicted faster than the vampire can heal.... or a silver object piercing the vampires heart. Or if said vampire stays outside during the day. I would include the weakness to garlic but let's face it. They should know better than to eat it
Vampire- there will be three kinds of vampires. Each type belonging to a corresponding clan
1.orlocke- faster and stealthier, but not as smart, and definitely not stronger.
2.nidhogg- bigger, stronger, and definitely more vicious, but slower and dumber.
3.tepes- thought to consist of vampires of the highest class. Their appearance is by far the most human out of the three, and they tend to be smarter. As far as strength and speed go, they're pretty balanced. Though they barely go beyond that of other clans. For example, they may be faster than the typical human being, but they are far from being able to beat an orlocke clan vampire in a foot race
Weaknesses (shared by all clans): sunlight and garlic, self explanatory
The heart: while a silver bullet will no doubt kill a vampire if it gets to their heart, so will any major damage done to this oh so vital organ.
Silver: if it's silver, it'll hurt more and be much deadlier. From bullets to knives, as long as it can kill them
Reliance on blood: self explanatory, though a vampire can go two to three days without a single drop and still be fine. Any longer Wil gradually weaken them. Their prey also determines how strong they are. Human blood gives them more strength as opposed to zombie or animal blood. Especially zombie blood, as even a single drop infects them with the virus, ruling out the consumption of human blood for many reasons. And no, it doesn't kill them. Vampire blood yields the best results, but drinking it is considered taboo
Fatigue: it still affects them, though to a lesser extent
Zombie- these zombies have the ability to learn and evolve. Meaning they will get progressively harder to deal with
Weaknesses: AIM FOR THE HEAD
Rotting: a zombie is in a constant state of decomposition. As such, they tend to be more fragile
Inability to perceive animals: while the exact reason is unknown, it was clear early on that animals are immune. As such, zombies tend to seek out humans.
Lack of human intelligence: need I say more?
Demihumans- zombies who miraculously evolved to the point where they regained human intelligence. Just not their memories. Also, they can't be detected by zombies
Weaknesses: same as a zombie but with human intelligence (Side note: these can be chars, just give me a heads up if you do make one)
Zombie vampire- Ever wonder what would happen if a vampire got shot in the brain? This is what happens. Zombie vampires are the remains of a vampire whose brain was destroyed, usually setting its body to autopilot
Another way a vampire zombie can come to be is if an infected vampire dies in a way that leaves their body and brain intact. These tend to be deadlier than vampires and zombies
Weaknesses: same as a vampire with a few added zombie weaknesses
Lack of self preservation (non-infected): a common weakness in the non-infected, rather than trying to sustain themselves, they'll just wander around. Even in broad daylight
1. No instakilling. Unless it's just a few zombies. or maybe vampires if they're wounded enough or incapacitated. Or if they're human chars from settlements. With a few exceptions 2. Be prepared for a difficulty spike once in a while. Can't let things get boring 3. No overpowered vampire chars. Just....no.... 4. If your char is a human that's immune to the zombie virus, give me a heads up. 5. Have fun 6. If you can read this, you've read the rules....or just skimmed through
[Vampire stuff] Abilities: Minor hypnotism Super strength/speed Accelerated healing Night vision
((Screw it. I'm gonna finish the storyline. It's the only way to get it off my mind))
The golem had waited. As it usually did. Waiting for the imbalance to reach a certain point. And the time had come for it to act. In the remaining time it had left the golem sat cross-legged and put its hands together. Channeling the power it had gained for it's great plan "I love this job." The golem chuckles as, seconds before the realm's fabric of reality finally collapsed, it released an enormous amount of energy comprehendable only to the great primals. The energy spread to specific parts of the multiverse with one purpose;
To prevent the destruction of the multiverse, and to preserve the ancient laws of the realms of life and death.
The energy started with the realm of the forsaken first. As the golem could not allow such a spiritual imbalance to exist, and as he was the source. The energy reversed the damage caused by the judge. Restoring the realm entirely. To the judge, it was not so merciful. As the damage was reversed the energy coursing through the judge destroyed his very existance. Ripping him apart atom by atom and obliterating his soul. His essence was erased as well
The energy moved on to the genesis devourer, those who fought to protect the multiverse were sent away from the belly of the beast and arrived somewhere safe. To the golem, they were allies and were to be spared. The energy launched a vicious assault the likes of which no one, save for the primals, could even begin to withstand. Nothing was left of it. Save for Alice. Whose consciousness was preserved. Alice was not dead. Nor was she alive. She was just....there... not that anyone truly knew how "there" she was, if they knew at all. Alice merely existed. Forced to listen to the cries of agony that those killed by the genesis devourer most likely let out in their final moments. Such a fate was the golem's way of punishing her for her attempt to destroy the balance it had worked its tail off to protect.
The energy reached its last stop. Or rather, last stops. It arrived at the planets that fell victim to the genesis devourer. Reversing the destruction and restoring life. The planets had not only regained the capability of sustaining life, but life itself. It's job done, the energy simply dispersed. It's actions having been perceived by many as happening in a mere instant.
The golem got up only to fall to its knees. Its body was severely cracked and damaged. This made the golem chuckle at its recklessness. For its body could only handle so much power before it became too much. Still, it had done what it meant to do. And for that it was thankful even as it limped through a portal and left

That's gotta count for something) magic user other: that puppy just ate that skyscraper!.... I hate Monday ((Like that?))
