> Everything was going according to plan. Cosmos smiled inhumanly widely, revealing several rows of sharp, predatory teeth. White skin glistened in the moonlight, made only more apparent by the humid fog. The zealot was driven back, hopping from place to place, but he was surrounded by an army of righteous rage. Even with the power of the Flayed Ones at his side, with no blood to spill, he would be unable to heal himself. And the warriors were lasting better than even he had expected, carrying themselves with the pride of a simple-minded fool. If there truly was an afterlife, then Cosmos would pay to see the expressions on their filthy faces when they realized, that all their petty ideals and struggles were meaningless, mere tools for his merest whim. > > Suddenly, a net of power seemed to be cast over the entire area, hundreds of limiters of varying types forming. Out of nowhere, Cosmos found his power faltering, as all magical energy was suppressed. He wobbled in the air, only barely suppressing an exclamation of surprise as the area was filled with a small army of warriors of all types. Then, like a rock, he crashed from the sky, plunging through layers of fog,a bright white comet hitting the water with an explosive splash. > > The downside of magic, was that he had never really learned to use his wings. > > Wet and filthy, the proud dragon-like humanoid stood up, wings stretching and shaking off the mud and leeches that had instantly attempted to feed off of him. He could feel the limiters crushing him downwards, suppressing his vast array of magical power, and it was only because of this inconvenience that he did not instantly incinerate this entire village. He was barely able to hold himself up over the water, as he probed the limiters for weaknesses, finding the string that would unravel the enchantment. As the witch stepped from her portal, he turned towards her with a glare he hadn't mustered in a long time. "You arrogant bitch. You would dare make a fool out of me? I will rip your puny spells apart, and rend your soul from your body!" > > At least his warriors were still functioning, although he couldn't think of an easy way to turn them on this bitch. But, lo and behold, a woman stepped out, speaking in a foreign language. Cosmos didn't have a clue what she was saying, but the meaning was clear. Who was this, and what was his befouled luck that now, of all times, his army would be so easily eliminated? Rapidly, the gears in his head spun. He could negotiate with people, fool them. Perhaps he could find some way to unravel the limiters or even turn them to his advantage. Many of the creatures that had entered the scene were magical in nature, he might be able to- > > "FOR THE GLORY OF THE LIGHT!" > > Wait... what? Cosmos looked up, all his rage fading to astonishment, as he saw the angelic form rushing down towards him. Time seemed to slow down, as his vision focused on the blade now hurtling towards his chest at high speeds, runes of divine power glowing along it's sides. For just an instant, he envied Toguro's power to simply shake off any physical force. Being immune to pointy things would be quite useful in this specific situation. > > "What the Hell are you-" > > Everything seemed to go quiet, as Cosmos was impaled. The long white blade pierced his scaled hide at the top right shoulder, melting through them as if they were not there, slicing through flesh and bone, until it exited his body at his left thigh. Birhgt white light played along the edge, instantly cauterizing the wound, even as the body of the angel crashed to the ground, dead..... again. Cosmos staggered backwards, staring at the hilt of the sword, now firmly jutting out of his form. His thoughts whirled around in circles, cunning plans fading to nothing as they were smashed against the harsh face of reality. And only one thought remained. > > "...... Fuck." > > With a soft splash, Cosmos' form fell into the muddy water of the swamp, his spells fading, disappearing almost instantly below the algea-covered surface. For several moments more, almost all the assembled beings stared that the spot where there had just been an Angel and a Dragon, and now there was nothing but a ripple. > > It was safe to say that nobody had seen this coming. Eve just stared. Her mouth open in surprise. Honestly things went better than she expected. Way better actually. Sure she intended to keep cosmos alive, well, alive enough to answer her questions after they got back to hekate manor yet still be unable to resist being taken to hekate manor anyway, but even then she didn't expect the limiters to work THAT well. That and she didn't expect the angel to be revived or whatever allowed him to be alive after getting killed. Either way, that was probably the luckiest coincidence of her life.
> Mia frowned, as fireballs and sentient swords flew across her main control chamber. An unlucky zombie servant was struck, briefly lighting up, before being reduced to a mere pile of ash. The smell of melting metal and and rotten flesh filled the room, as Kevin and creed finally calmed down. "I would APPRECIATE it if you kept my living room in one piece. I'd kill you for that, but I need you right now, so either stop breaking things or I'll start removing body parts." Two vector arrows manifested on the ground, one for each of the combatants, launching them at opposite ends of the room. > > She then turns back to Asura and Teo, sighing. "I would like to remind you that 5 is a powerful soular manipulator, with the capability to adapt it's soular wavelength to that of other people" With a flick of her wrist, a long tendril of black blood erupts from her palm, piercing the head of one of the robotic butlers. "Pumping large amounts of Soular energy into it would be a great way to get all of you killed, and it's exactly what I would be doing, besides that I currently have the intention of stopping this thing. And if you people are planning on dying instantly, I might as well break you down into zombies, and see whether you'll be useful then." "See? That's the kind of thing that makes me like you less. The whole wanting to kill us thing." Asura sighs "if you were really trying to help us, killing us would be the last thing you'd consider." ((Also, reply to the eve hekate thing))

The prisoners hadn't reacted to his entrance, either because they were incapable of moving, or simply been beaten into a permanent state of shock. > > > > > > > > > > There were bigger problems, however.... > > > > > > > > > > The already dim lighting flickered repeatedly, a cold draft of air rushing into the room, chilling Leeroy's back. Had he possessed skin, it would be crawling right now. The wind possessed a primordial sense of fear, as if it had soaked in the agony emanated by the spirit of the little girl, chasing Leeroy even now. In mere moments, she would enter the room, and while he had yet to see her inflict harm, he had no doubt whatever ensued would be painful. > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > > > > > > > Mia simply chuckled. "I'll need all of you to be warded. That robotic creature is capable of powerful soular attacks on level with even my father, and you people are practically naked to them. It would do me no good to send you all to your deaths, so I've developed something that might be able to help you." Mia walks across the room, to where a large metallic tube is visible. A door opens, revealing a single chair within, as well as a series of robotic arms equipped with mysterious devices. "This will attune your soul wavelength to that of the vampire Mithias, which is the soul the robot copied. This means that the soular energy will not damage your soul, but rather resonate with it harmlessly. Of course, if it pumps enough energy into you you might still explode, but what is science without risks, right?" > > > > > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > > > > > > > > Cosmos would have raised an eyebrow, had his anatomy allowed for such an expression. As a being formed from concepts, it's physical form was little more than a manifestation of it's more primordial existence, a host for the magic that formed the Dark One. As such, it changed according to the creature's evolution and thoughts, every new thing learned adding to it's physical prowess, as well as to it's mental capabilities. With the right training and education, especially from a master of the arcane arts of Cosmos' level, this tiny creature could grow into an intergalactic force of destruction, worthy of the blessings of Omega. > > > > > > > > > > The only obstacle obstructing this future, as well as the praise Cosmos would receive for enabling it, was the fanatic Bloodseeker. > > > > > > > > > > From his current position, floating high above the village, cloaked in a plethora of spells to ward off both vision and scent, it was easy to surmise the situation. While the elimination of the angel was certainly good for his odds in this situation, the bloodseeker had not been harmed to any significant extent, and would be at full power. A full-force battle at this point would be far less than ideal. Luckily, however, it was similarly easy to see the method by which the Bloodseeker would fall, strategically and elegantly. One might even say it had a bit of poetic justice attached to it, and it was those little things that made Cosmos love his job. > > > > > > > > > > Taking on the guise of a great tree, Cosmos spoke to those who had been slain mere moments before, frog people who, in their ignorance, worshipped the static Gods of this marsh. He offered them a second chance, a chance to fight for their families and quell the monster that had arisen in their midst. He would forge an enchantment within them, burning their souls to keep the body moving, a temporary undead animated by the power of the warrior's spirit. With the acquisition of consent, it was easy to forge the spells necessary, and with hardly any effort performed, the method of the Seeker's fall had been completed. > > > > > > > > > > Their eyes glowing white with the furious flames of righteous rage, those that had moments before been struck down stood, their bodies burning as their blood boiled. Wreathed in white fire, their tribal spears flew to their hands from where they had hit the ground. The girl watched on. Taking another bite out of her apple. Her eyes moved. Alternating between the spells cosmos had cast, to cosmos himself. Analyzing both. She grinned and snapped her fingers. An action which caused the fog to disappear. She then threw the half eaten apple to the ground and walked toward cosmos. Knowing whatever magic he had wouldn't give her position away((Given that the thread is starting to die, I think I might just start wrapping things up))
