Maia did not really like being poked, her tail swishing between her and the professor to prevent any more poking... At the others talking, and the suggestions from the two of them she was really thinking on it while the others were distracted with each other. Though she had to mention something on what Alicia said.

"I see. Saving our butts took up your time, I suspect?"

Though a little guilty she did hold out her hand for the piece.

"Well, they suggested it, so I guess I am the leader. I hope three members is alright for the time being?"

Looking towards the pair she smiled, already expecting them to be in the team, not liek she would take no for a answer.

She was not sure she brought that, with how he acted in combat and even outside of it she knew he was smart enough not to do something so silly but she did not press the subject, after all there was little point too.

"My name is Maia, dont need to shorten it. So, what are you going to do with that chess piece?"

"So, umm... Wh7y were you in there in the first place?"

Maia was in the bed beside his while they were getting treated. She had to wonder why he was even there in the first place, more so since he did not seem the type to just jump into things like that...

Maia just looked on at the scene before her, the teachers coming along and telling them off for having gone inside, though despite what she had said before it seemed the teachers knew it was Regi in the tunnel firs, how did they know something like that? It is possible through deduction given he was missing, but how come she felt like they expected this much to pretty much happen? Looking down to the Chess piece Maia smiled, thinking that she could finally be a leader, though she waited for a moment for the other girls reaction.

"I wouldn't mind taking it up but.. Do you think I could get treated soon? Ribs still bruised"

She said, waiting for just that... Useless teachers...

Maia was glad she wasn't being left behind, though really she was more distracted by the strange and lovely weapon the girl had, two of the peices even being handed off to her to cover their retreat. Thankfully they were not that hard to get a hang of, more so for someone like her. Using the gun to hold them off rather well, given that she did not want those things anywhere near her, more so since she couldn't really fight close up while being held like that. Zooming out of the cave Maia was put onto the ground, leaving her to support herself but with her tail wrapping around her waist she was able to join in picking off the surviving Grimm from the act of blowing up the cave.

"Heh... I wonder if this makes us advanced"

She joked more to herself before handing off the weapons to the girl and being told off for going into the caves... Looking back to Regi for a moment she looked to the girl and smiled. "Yeah, I got a little cocky, thankfully Regi came to help me" She said, straightening up, the pain turning from a burning to just a slight pain.

Maia watched as everyone started to get to the guy with the hammer, using it as a platform to get out of the hole, and though she was unsure her tired body could handle it right now she had little choice in the matter and so started to walk over towards it, though she was too slow to be able to reach there in time, the hammer man using it to get out himself but she was not alone.

"Hey, give me your hand"

She said reaching up a hand to the flying women, her other still holding her side tightly. Damn that wall hurt more than she had expected it to, guess she wasn't invincible at all heh...
