And should we have it so that the class is stopped, seeing as Mimic is kinda out of action for now... everyone involved in the Zack/Griffin thing can carry on but it frees up everyone else

I can't think of anything much to add in terms of events to tell, as t2wave said a functional site is still a luxury and progress was hard for a while, but touch wood it's working fine now :)

Yeah, sorry, in the middle of a class so it's a little difficult, you know how it is
So, Phoebe wanted a way in. Seeing Makoto begin to rush Mimic Kat quickly positioned herself on his opposite side. It was not beyond him to defend himself from both - in fact she expected it - but it would be enough to distract him from the third attack... she hoped. She held her hands before her, magic smoking and flickering around her fingertips. The power he played with gave her pause; magic could be a fickle and volatile thing and there was nothing to say its reaction with this electricity would be good for anyone.
Then again, he was the teacher and the blame would have to ultimately fall with him. And then two streams of magic began to head towards him, spiraling and snaking about the other, merging at the tip as they aimed for his chest.
She stood back a moment, watching how the first few steps would be taken. Fights like this were always stilted to begin with, but as soon as the blows were landing it began to come alive. But the new girl, Makoto, seemed frozen in thought. She sidled over to her, and spoke in a quiet voice. "Relax. You're new, untrained, no-one is expecting the earth of you. But a battle is in the arms and the legs and the heart, not in the mind." The circumstances didn't really allow for much else, so she quickly ran a few paces forward and countered Mimics offensive stance. She sent a flare of magical energy just above his heard, bright and beautiful but most-of-all distracting, and then sent three sharp dark blasts immediately after.

So less of a child-of and more a protegee-of, I have no problem with that! :) though 'Skilled acrobatic, expert in free running' is potentially a bit OP, I see how it fits with the back story but maybe negates the idea of the academy... then again, maybe that's made up for without powers, so just have more skills to learn? Oh I'm so indecisive, I'm going to say yes because I know you and you know this RP, but just don't be OTT :P
Kat had followed the group into the new room and listened as Mimic explained the task. She smiled as he said they would be going against him; any chance to land a hit on him would always be appreciated. Unfortunately for the cause this was a team exercise so she took note of her fellow members and searched for where they congregated.
She walked over as Phoebe was finishing introducing the rest to Makoto. "And I'm.. well, you can call me Kat." Now didn't seem the best time for the full introduction, instead flashing a charming smile.
