I haven't even been at uni a year yet and the number of ridiculous statistical tests I have had to do on the most basic of calculators makes me want to cry. Surely there are computers that can do this better than me?!
Hearing a slight crash she looked up to see a boy throwing away the rest of his food and sulking out of the cafeteria. She put her book away and grabbed her last slice of toast and chased out after him. "Hey!" She called out - though she tried her best to not sound the crazy stalker type. "Are you alright?" She asked as she caught up with him. She could come out of this looking an idiot by running after strangers, but if that is how it is so be it, she was just trying to be nice.
Aver'i woke and blinked around a few times at her new surroundings, forgetting where she was for a moment before it all come flooding back as she began to fully awaken. After enjoying a few more minutes under the duvet she jumped out of bed and into the shower. As the announcement rang out she was finishing getting ready and quickly hopped around the room as she pulled on her shoes, slung her bag over her shoulder and began to make her way down to the cafeteria.

Walking in she could see it had already begun to fill with students so she walked over to see what was on offer. She eventually settled for toast and an apple, holding the latter in her mouth until she found a seat. Once she had set everything down she pulled a book out of her bag and began to read as she ate her breakfast, wishing she had got herself some coffee aswell.
My colour was brown, I'm going to consider this an improvement for me. But on the whole it makes life a lot harder when quickly scrolling through posts, ah well, c'est la vie
Well.. This is an interesting development in avatars..

Hell yeah, you're a majestic unicorn, don't let anyone tell you any different!
Once she had been dismissed from her final class Aver'i was unsure of what to do. Sure, she needed to find her dorm and unpack but that was boring and she was more than happy to put that off. So instead she decided to explore and get a feel for the school so she began to wander around the corridors, occasionally peering into rooms and just being generally nosy (though she preferred inquisitive) as she walked about.
Sorry for not being active, I seem to be running on a different timezone to most of you and when I am awake I'm split between lectures, reading, essay writing and house-hunting :'( Hopefully it will all calm down soon so I can post more but you might just have to bare with me for now

Katherin was thrilled when Aver'i acknowledged her. She was eager to make new friends. "Nice to meet you Aver'i. That an unsual name. I hope I pronounced it right. My name is Katherin, but you can call me Kat. You're right about this not being a normal school. I am eager to see what everyone can do."

"Yeah, you got it right!" She reassured her and smiled."And I know what you mean, I haven't met many people like us our age, I can't wait!" As she said this the shouting from the TV caught her attention, but the teachers nature changed back to pleasant just as quickly, she wasn't sure how much of a reassurance that was. "Though so far, the teachers seem a little intimidating.... or terrifying. I've never really fought anyone before."
Feeling a tap on her shoulder Averi' turned her head to see a girl with striking red hair. "Oh, ok, thank you! That seems.. highly unorthodox, actually. Though I suppose this isn't your normal school." She said with a small laugh. Some people had trouble making conversation, she almost had the opposite problem; she could make small talk about absolutely anything in fear of the person thinking she was ignoring them if not. "I'm Aver'i, by the way."
She watched the first fight on the screen still standing in the doorway but when it finished she realised she couldn't just stand there for the entire lesson. The teacher was obviously busy for now, she'd have to apologise later. It wasn't so comforting to think shortly after she'd get to apologise he would be attacking her, but she pushed that thought away. She took a seat and looked around at the other students, wondering what she should be doing now. It didn't look like any work had been set, if so no-one else seemed to be doing it.
