Knight:
Anthony nods and thanks the receptionist with a smile, then steps into the elevator. As he waits for Connor to enter, he asks, "Will the car take us to the correct floor automatically or do we need to choose the floor?"
Dizzy:
The woman smiled sweetly. "We have a smart system. The elevator all but runs itself." She dropped her head in a sort of shy fashion, and then looked up. "I am not really supposed to address visitors so directly, but..." She tucked a lock of blonde hair behind her ear. "What is it like having a famous father?" She looked up, with blue eyes full of admiration.
"I mean, having the world-famous Tony Stark as a dad? It must have been quite a childhood!" She was grinning brightly at Connor.
Caits:
Connor followed after them both, but then seemed a bit socked to being addressed. "Um..." He blinked, wondering how to reply. "Well, it was. It was probably not like anything I can describe really" He smiled, and shrugged, "He is one of the best people I know"
Knight:
Anthony had opened his mouth to answer the receptionist's question but slowly closes it as he realizes the inquiry was aimed at Connor. He leans against the wall of the elevator, waiting for the fan girl to leave.
Dizzy:
The receptionist smiled, fiddling with her hair. "I remember seeing... something on television, your father saving a bunch of people from a falling airplane. Such... such bravery and intelligence all at once! Must be a lot to live up to." There was a definite flirtation to her grin. "If you'd ever like to talk science: forces... action... bodies in motion? Look me up." She winked and then stepped out of the elevator, the silver door sliding shut. The elevator started to go down, the movement swift and nearly undetectable.
Caits:
Connor frowned, not use to such obvious flirtation, and quite unsure about it. He was unsure how to act and he sighed and shook his head, glad when she stepped out. "I miss the school" he muttered to himself, there, he knew where he stood, here with Anthony, it seemed like there were enemies, or at the very least untrustworthy people around him.
He just wanted to find and save Kijani.
It was amusing though to have seen Anthony open his mouth to speak, assuming the girl was talking to him, only to be stopped short by seeing it was addressed to Connor. Of course Connor didn't let that show, looking about the elevator, ready to spring I to action if need be
Knight:
"Well that was interesting," Anthony remarks casually before asking, "Have you done as I asked?" He looks at Connor expectantly, hoping the child had remembered to disable the security surveillance devices in the elevator.
Caits:
Connor didn't like the way Anthony asked that, as if Connor had forgotten why he was here for, and he said, managing to keep his tone light and easy "yes, as soon as I was able to without being noticed" he looked ahead, waiting for their stop, and for the doors to open
Dizzy:
The doors slid open after another minute, revealing a stretch of hallway that was white, clinically cold white. With the open door came a rush of icy air, carrying a faint scent. It was rather... medical. Chemically stinging, metallic, with unsettling human scents underneath. A faint noise could be heard, almost too soft to hear. A voice like a child... weeping.
Caits:
Connor looked out elevator, already hating what he saw there, and already having an idea of what was going on. He swallowed against the weeping, and he knew even if Kijani wasn't here, he'd tear the place apart, and try to save who he could. He looked about, weary, and then looked for any security, prepared to turn it off
Knight:
Anthony steps into the hallway, noticing the sterile environment with detached interest. "I imagine Ms. Waller will arrive soon. Does your suit have thermal sensors? If so, start scanning the area so we know how many people we'll be going against."
Caits:
Connor found he didn't like being gold what to do, especially by someone like Anthony who probably just saw him as a tool. He stood there for a minute, in defiance, before he could hear the faint weeping again, and finally he sighed, slamming his mask down with a soft click. He figured he might as well be ready. And he wanted nothing of Anthony's power effecting him.
"Ignot? Let's see what we can see"
Dizzy:
What Ingot would see was wires in the walls. Security panels at every door. No cameras in the halls,or in the rooms. There were a few people around, all adults from the size. And then there was one wall that seemed completely... empty. Just a long black stretch of wall...
Caits:
Connor relayed what he could see, "Few things of security, generally panels at every door, but no cameras. There's some adults around, but not many. There's a wall that seems to open into emptiness, if I was hiding something or someone, I'd put it there. I'd rather get out of here without killing anyone, but you'll do what you will" He said, starting out the elevator, looking about warily.
Knight:
Anthony shakes his head wearily, "You obviously don't know what goes on here, but I don't have time to explain now. Later, once we've retrieved Kijani, she can tell you. However, I agree with you about the seemingly empty space. Lead the way."
Caits:
"How am I meant to know what goes on here? I only know what you've told me, and thats been depressingly little" Connor point out, his tone annoyed. Connor knew that Kijani had a hidden past that she hadn't told him about, but he could guess at some of it, especially being here, and fighting those guards..
"Just because something is wrong, doesn't mean that you can kill them, because they've killed. Two wrongs don't make a right. I won't become a murderer for someone like you" Connor said, starting to walk. But he would do what he had to, to save Kijani. He had no delusions that Anthony actually gave a damn about Kijani, and Connor had his suspicions about things, given that some things just didn't make sense.
But he wouldn't voice his suspicions until he was satisfied that Kijani was safe. As he started to walk, he focused on the seemingly empty space, aiming for the wall that was covering it. "ignot?" He said softly, and there was a few seconds silence before Ignot replied. "Right height, Sir, and right build."
"Then that's were we will go" he said, mostly to himself.
Anthony nods and thanks the receptionist with a smile, then steps into the elevator. As he waits for Connor to enter, he asks, "Will the car take us to the correct floor automatically or do we need to choose the floor?"
