Too bad I can't understand the lyrics.
@Dioxide: What is that video about?
Sorry about the delay, I'm easily distracted.
Anthony raises an eyebrow and remarks, "I would think that with your father's abilities and cleverness, taking control of Asgard would be a simple endeavor. Perhaps he lacks conviction. And the place that is supposedly the manifestation of everything you hate is the least of many evils? Interesting. " He stands, then in response to Kat's question of him being satisfied, he says with a slight smirk, "For now." He then returns to his seat, and watches the screen, wondering just what the girl expected to accomplish by simply smacking Mimic.

Mimic can't help but let out a derisive snort as Devika smacks him. "Is that really your idea of an attack? You think you can make me cry by simply..." he trails off as he experiences an emotion that he hadn't felt for years. To say it was sadness was a severe understatement, the grief he felt went beyond words. What he felt was a mind numbing, soul tearing, life altering pain.

And just like that, he felt himself transported twenty-three years into the past, to a small New Jersey town. He was deep inside the cave that housed both his father and a very special machine. His father, the lovingly supportive man that he was, had designed a machine that would hopefully help his son achieve his true potential by making any powers he absorbed permanent. The machine was drawing so much power that the town's citizens had gathered to form an angry mob, hoping to perform a good old-fashioned lynching. To protect his son, Ronald Rankin placed explosives near the entrance to the cave and detonated them, hoping to seal the mob out. Calvin watches in silent horror as his father, unknowingly too close to the explosives, is crushed by the very debris that was supposed to protect him.

Mimic lets loose a heart-wrenching cry and falls to his knees, holding the body of a man that only he can see. Tears stream down his face and his wings flutter anxiously as he unconsciously summons phoenix fire, which takes the form of his father's dead body. He holds it close, then covers it protectively with one wing as he mutters over and over, "Why? Why? Why?"
Memory isn't cheap here in the US.
Anthony grins, "But Kitty Kat is such an adorable nickname! I honestly don't understand why you wouldn't want to be called that." The grin on Anthony's face is replaced by a more serious expression as he asks, "I have two more questions, then I'll leave you alone so you can return to glaring at the teacher through the T.V. screen. Firstly, why did you leave the Academy? Secondly, why did you return?"
Anthony nods in consent, "I'm not prone to using nicknames, but very well." He tilts his head and asks, "In the cafeteria, John greeted you as if you were old friends, yet you responded with disdain. How do you know each other?"
Oh yep, definitely.
(In power development class. Devika, which is one of Dizzy's characters, is in the training room with Mimic)
If you have to leave before the conversation starts, don't stress about it. Anthony can wait. How long is your class?
