Anthony shakes his head and says, "No. I need to understand this, and to do so, I must have silence." He begins to walk away again, debating with himself, his eyes rapidly changing from grey to brown, over and over. "I've always prided myself on being able to compete with metahumans and extraterrestrials, using nothing but my intelligence. Now, I'm no better than them." "This may be useful though. If I have powers that can control people, then I need to learn exactly how they work, and how to control them. The fact that I've been using them without knowing it simply means it's instinctive. If I learn to control them, then I may unlock even more abilities."[/i]"I'll have to learn to get along with others like me.""Balderdash. Even though I may have powers, I'd still be superior without them. I can make many things that would simulate their powers if needed."

Ben drops down once again, shooting a total of six shots at Griffin and Kalinda, then leaps away.

Anthony looks at Austin's phone, a frown growing on his face. "Well then," he mutters. He walks away, asking himself mentally, "Is this why I can get people to do as I want? And what do my eyes changing color have to do with Griffin's problems? What exactly are my powers, and why haven't I noticed them yet?"

Anthony looks around at the little group, a rare expression of confusion apparent on his face, and asks, "What are you people talking about? My eyes don't change color, they're brown and always have been. I'm just human! I'm not a mutant, alien, or metahuman."

Anthony watches Austin warily and asks, "What in the world are you blathering on about? I don't have any powers."

Ben sees Austin suddenly drop down, and grins. He leaps from his hiding place, landing on Austin's shoulders, and bringing him to the ground. While Austin is down, Ben quickly shoots him in the back three times, then disappears as quickly as he appeared. To those watching, it would have looked like a flying bush had attacked Austin.

Anthony waits for Austin to get up, not making a move to help.

As Anthony walks out of the forest, he comes across Estella, Kalinda, and Griffin. He feels the tension in the air and his eyes turn violet as he asks, "Is there a problem?"
