This way, we can keep an eye on each other until we know enough to make a solid plan. To me, it seems you're just being a little bitch and throwing a fit because people won't listen to you."

The vines shatter and crumble into dust before withdrawing. While Katherine's attention is on the dying vines, a mass of weeds begin to form beneath her, just underground.

Anthony nods and asks, "Can you turn invisible? If so, could you form the illusion of say, four of us, walking around outside and follow it, unseen? If the illusion is realistic enough, it might draw the attention of the intruders and cause them to attack. Then, we'd know what we're facing."

While the bickering goes on, Anthony signs to Sue, "I'll be right back." He casually moves next to Kat and asks quietly so the others wouldn't hear, "You and your father have nearly identical powers, correct? Are you able to control multiple illusions at once? If so, how close to you do they have to be?"

John stands and walks to the arguing students. As he towers over them, his booming voice is even louder than their combined voices while he says, "Can you guys just shut up please? Connor has enough firepower to take care of himself for a while, and if things get ugly, Ryan can quickly run back here to ask for help. Those two go get the communicator things. Kalinda can jump through shadows, so she's pretty much untouchable, right? She can be a scout and try to find out what we're facing. The rest of us go outside and stick together until we know what we're fighting. Anyone have a problem with that?"

Outside in the hallway, the tiles on the floor and ceiling begin to visibly shake and crack as several hundred small, green vines begin to break through them. The vines start to race toward Katherine, growing in length and thickness by the second.
