(I think you guys misunderstand the motives behind Mimic's methods. He uses insults, fear, and intimidation because in comics, most of the time, people are at the strongest in times of stress.)

Ben easily ducks, spins, and flips, dodging all of the laser blasts. After one dodge, he ends up with his back turned to Mimic. He laughs as he turns around, "Dude, your aim sucks." As he utters the last syllable, however, he gets hit straight in the forehead by a blast he hadn't been prepared for. Ben falls to the ground, dazed and confused.

Ben waits until the last second, then simply lets go of the wall, quickly falling to the floor. While it wasn't an attack, per say, he hoped that Minic would ram into the wall.
