Nah, that's really just about it, increase in knowledge. He can't do mental shockwaves or anything like that if that's what your asking
Huh? Not sure what you mean.
Name: Scipio Kathar

Alias: Abaddon

Powers/Abilities:
1) Advanced Symbiosis- Scipio is strongly bonded to a creature known as a symbiote, providing him with greatly enhanced physical, mental, and perceptive abilities. He is granted extremely sharp and tough claws and fangs, and due to his advanced bond, has the ability to alter the symbiote's composition to create extra limbs and appendages, weapons, and shield. Inclusively, Scipio can alter his own being to become that of the natural, amorphous form of the symbiote. There is the added benefit of moderate regeneration as well, but if the wounds are extremely grievous, more time and even outside help will be needed to recover quickly. Due to previous bonds with different life forms, the symbiote grants more benefits such as the ability to create powerful acids and pathogens, immunity to disease and strong resistance to poisons or other agents, and reliable protection against possession or unwanted mental influences.

2) Forbidden Knowledge- Supernatural knowledge acquired from summoning and defeating dark beings of different realms, this area of power can pretty much be considered dark magic by those learned in the arcane. Sought out by Scipio to better combat against supernatural threats or those who can bend the elements or other energies to their will, he can produce a powerful magic which can potentially obliterate a target and deteriorate energy-based or magical projections and barriers. Though the magic is mostly offensive, it can take on more passive and defensive roles, particularly the aura Scipio casts about himself to defend against powerful magics, energies, or stronger than normal attacks.

Weaknesses:
Abaddon is weak to intense sound and heat, as these are the natural weaknesses of a symbiote. Since the symbiote and he have developed such a strong bond, and because Scipio has introduced the foreign energies of dark magic into his being, they must feed periodically to ensure the best consequences for themselves. Long periods of time gone without feeding results in a more feral and crazed Abaddon, and eventually his strength begins to dwindle. Strong surges of electricity also do not sit well with him.
Due to the relation with dark magic, there also comes to the drawback of being significantly more weak to forms of light magic.

Appearance(s):
Human:

Symbiote: As Abaddon, Scipio's appearance changes drastically and looks nothing short of a demon. The body is mainly black in color, but it is adorned with streaks and patterns of crimson and gold. He bears razor sharp fangs and claws, and now has several tendrils sprouting from his back. Additionally, a second large mouth opens up on his torso. There are a few protruding bone spikes on his shoulders and knees, and one blade like protrusion coming from both of his elbows. Abaddon's stance is also more feral and savage to allow for an easy transition from walking on twos to walking on all fours.

Personality: I'll be playing this out in the RP, no need to put it here.

Background: In truth, Abaddon's origins weren't all that extraordinary. He grew up in a nice house with a good family that almost always had enough to spend on things other than the necessities (bills, clothing, food, etc), and his school and athletic achievements were admirable. However, there was always a feeling of envy and longing inside Scipio's heart, because whenever he looked at the Metahumans, he felt... inferior. He hated his limitations on his mind and body, and frankly would have given anything to cast off his humanity and become something more.
Sometime later, the symbiote to which he is now bonded to came along in search of a human host. Drawn to Scipio's thoughts of change, it offered itself unto him, an offer which Scipio gladly took by providing the symbiote a gash on his body to enter and form a strong bond with him. After that, a lot of the changes he desired came forth. Since then, he has often functioned as an anti-heroic entity, doing as he pleased but still providing justice and vengeance to those he felt needed it.
The "Forbidden Knowledge" came as a result of Abaddon battling and narrowly defeating a powerful dark mage. Having crushed his opponent's will, Abaddon forced him to yield his knowledge and secrets. This was still unsatisfactory though, and using the arcane dark knowledge, Abaddon performed a twisted ritual, spilling the blood of the mage to summon a powerful entity from which to gain more knowledge from. There was a cycle of summoning, subjugation, and learning, one which still goes on today in Abaddon's seemingly endless hunger for more knowledge.
Eventually, Abaddon was able to perform the feat of plane-crossing and cross directly into the ethereal realms. Here is where he defeated several powers, and also where he began constructing his own realm of Sheol by merging and annexing each conquered together to create something more expanse and twisted.

Alignment: Anti-Villain. Abaddon is typically seen as a villain by other heroes due to his actions and motives, but he is also seen as an enemy by other villains due to his willingness to crush them.
Karsten gave the Elkrit girl a quick nod of acknowledgement and greeting before turning his attention back to his food. He had been observing her for a few moments now and didn't want to come off as rude, strange, or even suspicious to her and anyone else that may have been watching him. That could have raised quite a few unnecessary problems in the Inn, and right now all Karsten wanted to do was relax for a while before setting off on his search.

The food was good, as would be expected from a well known and reputable Inn in a royal city. Perhaps it wasn't as good as the cooking in his home, but it was satisfying enough. Karsten usually wasn't picky with food either way unless it was downright awful. As he finished up his plate and drink, he thought back to the Elkrit girl. She was rather comely, and she seemed to have that "feel" of magical access about her. What skills she actually had was something Karsten didn't know, but it did make him wonder even more if she was another person about to set off to try and find Valin's lost crown. Why not go ask her? Karsten thought it would be nice to travel alongside someone for at least a brief while. Then there was also the fact that there were already several reports of criminals falling upon adventurers out on the roads, and a girl like her, especially a girl of a non-human race, could be vulnerable by herself...

Having set up his finished plate and cup neatly on the table and leaving the required payment with the Innkeeper at the counter, Karsten made his way over to her calmly. Hands in his coat's pockets, he spoke to her.

"Hello... I was wondering, are you considering taking on the search for Valin's crown?"
(Mind if I remake my intro post?)

Like many others who had caught wind of the quest to recover King Valin's stolen crown, Karsten made his way to the Mayburry Inn. This was the main place travelers and townsfolk came to rest and unwind after long days of journey and work, so it was usually always bustling with activity from what Karsten had heard. Right now the place was filled by aspiring adventurers, and there were even more people outside preparing themselves for the journey up ahead. Some bought food and supplies while others had their weapons and armor examined, repaired or made by the skilled blacksmiths of the town.

Karsten himself was already prepared to take on his journey. He carried a pack with him large enough to hold several food items, drinks, and supplies, but it was small enough that he could carry it around comfortably without habing to worry too much about tiring out quickly. Unlike others, he carried no armor with him, just a skillfully crafted, sharp, and ornate sword by his side. It really was a beautiful piece befitting of his luxuror status, and other folk noticed this along with his nice clothing. Most stared at Karsten for a while before minding their own business, but there were some people who apparently weren't too fond of his kind. They gave him a few scowls and comments, but Karsten ignored them and continued to carry himself with authority and pride. He sat himself at a nearby table and ordered some food and a drink from the person at the counter. Might as well have a good meal before setting off. Afterall, Karsten could usually hold off his hunger for a long period of time so long as he had a sizeable meal to eat however many hours ago.

As he waited, Karsten thought of all that he would see and experience in this quest he was about to undertake. It was all quite exciting really, he would finally be able to put his skills in combat to good use, and most importantly.... his magic. It was the reason he was confident in his ability to travel more lightly than the other adventurers. A few strong blasts of arcane power and a rune or two to debilitate a target, and Karsten coukd have any threat out of the way in no time. He hoped at least. Karsten had to ask himself though...

"Why am I even taking on this journey?"

Afterall, it would distance him greatly from the comforts of his home. The servants and the ability to have anything he wanted with so much as a wave, the food, the books... like he thought, everything. Karsten was no spoiled brat though. He took on this quest as a chance to test and improve his skills, and as an opportunity to do something good for the ruler of the kingdom and its stability. Along with an undoubtedly decent reward, Karsten had many motives why he was taking this mission on even though he could very well be killed during it.

"Honors are not given to cowards..."

Karsten's meal soon arrived much to his pleasure, and when he began to eat he noticed an Elkrit young lady sitting by herself. An adventurer? No... she could have just been a customer here at the Inn, but didn't her kind usually stick to their homelands and whatnot?
Virgil interjected.
"Hmph, for any mission I think that teams should be formed on the basis of balance and how well the members can function with each other, not if one person wants to be with the other..."
He looked to Nari and then towards Mike. Those two seemed to always be joking around or teasing each other, and Virgil felt that their playful natures towards each other might distract them and make them take it less seriously than they should.
"Few possibilities for distraction among the teammates should also be taken into mind"
"Your suggestions are pretty close to what I had in mind," Virgil said to Mina, "So I have no objections against it."
Virgil also went on to say that the others needn't worry about whether or not his group could handle itself in a fight. He himself was at least certain he could fend for himself and make short work of his enemies, and quite honestly, Virgil would have fit perfectly on any team Mina suggested. Magic was his strongpoint obviously, but he often combined his knowledge of it with physical skills to become a suitable assassin or battle mage.

"Are we settled then? How long until we get to Nightwing?"
"You've not missed much," responded Virgil to the newly arrived Blake. Thankfully Mike was one of those people who tried to drag introductions out if not all were present to make recaps easier, so the late guy was lucky.

"Basically, new mission on a planet called Nightwing with an artifact of power that can blow it up. Our job is to go in, have Cassius over here knock some heads together and entertain any foes, and leave the sealing or removal of this artifact up to those knowledgeable on things like these."

The knowledgeable ones being Virgil and maybe the girls. He looked towards Mina on that note. Since he had met her he could tell what she was. A demon, just like he partially was, meaning that she too probably had valuable insight on things of the supernatural/ethereal realms.
Scorn had been growing restless since the Hooligans had swiftly been eliminated by his napalmic blood. He could still feel his red power ring goading him forward to seek out more beings in need of punishment, and Scorn would sure as hell carry this out. Still, where? While killing people like the Hooligans was part of his duty as a Red Lantern, he was certain that killing their kind wasn't all he had been led here to do. No, there were supervillains roaming the world, all Scorn needed to do was find them...
"If it's magic that needs to get the job done, than I'd be perfect for knocking that out of the way," Virgil said, a bit of pride lingering in his voice. Knowledge of the arcane, both light and dark, had always been Virgil's specialty ever since he was a child. Everything about it seem to come naturally to him, so much that the skill seemed innate rather than acquired. Inherited knowledge and skill of the arcane and advancement in the arts through study and use were both part of everything. Considering Virgil's bloodline, he had an extreme power over it, but usually he never had the opportunity to put more powerful displays of magic into use.
