I've started the thread and rather than completely giving up my responsibility as GM, I've diffused some of it to Larfleeze.
Billions of years ago, the Manhunters were created by the Guardians of the Universe to function as an intergalactic police force. They were programmed to maintain and enforce order and law, and though they functioned as intended for a while, the rogue Guardian Krona exploited a flaw within the Manhunters' programming. The androids became obsessed with order, and taking upon the same view that emotions were the source of chaos, decided the only logical solution to chaos and evil was to wipe out all organic life. This lead to the dreadful massacre of Sector 666, the Manhunters' extermination of all life in this sector (save for fiveIindividuals who later became the Five Inversions).
The Guardians eventually put an end to the Manhunter threat, the remaining androids going into hiding. They rose again once, but were stopped by the Green Lanterns. Again, some survived, and after years of rebuilding their ranks, they seek to launch another campaign of genocide to carry out their flawed programming. They are more advanced than before, which in essence means that all the Lantern Corps (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet) must come to terms with each other to combat the threat.
And that would be the set up for this RP. You guys will be allowed to make a character for a Corp, but usage of canon characters will currently not be allowed (save for Larfleeze, sole wielder of the Orange light). Here are the available Corps:
Red- Rage
Yellow- Fear
Green- Willpower
Blue- Hope
Indigo- Compassion
Violet/Star Sapphires- Love
Rules:
1. No arguing in the OOC. Solve things maturely if problems occur.
2. No overpowered characters. We're all Lanterns here, and while some may be stronger, they are not unbeatable and cannot automatically win anything. By extension, this means no godmodding.
3. No Mary Sues. Make a Mary Sue, and I'll spew napalm all over its face.
4. Obey me and my co-Gm (Larfleeze, who will be the one in charge of plot advancements and such).
5. Decent grammar is required. I know this is the free section but I dun wunt any run awn sentces liek dis or poor spelling n grammerz.
6. No one liners. At least make an effort for a minimum of three sentences, because extremely short posts stall the story.
7. Try and be active. If you'll be absent for a while, notify.
8. Have fun :D!

I don't really know why I stopped watching the show in the first place, but I suppose it's just because I lost interest in it. It's a good show and all, but not really something I'd make a priority to watch.
And yay, more people! Hopefully this'll balance out the Slytherins....

She was my favorite character back when I was still watching the show, probably still will be if I ever go back and watch :p.

Ah... it's been so long since I've posted something MLP related. I haven't even watched the show since episode 2 of season 4...
@Larfleeze: You know, I actually wouldn't mind just handing the reins over to you on this one. You thought up of the plot idea and seem more well versed in the stories than I am, so what do you say? Want to start the thread and all?
