Abaddon began walking towards Lass like a hunting predator, claws scraping along the ground.

"But will you be willing to embrace what I teach you? You are guilty of shedding innocent blood for no other reason than mere entertainment. We know this. Give us a reason why we shouldn't eviscerate you..."

The time for combative gauging had begun. Abaddon lashed out to tendrils towards Lass. They weren't meant to cause any serious harm, but they would hurt if they made their mark. Abaddon began to prepare for a counterattack, something he was eager to do. It had been long since he had fought against an umbramancer, nearly two years since he had killed the umbra and photokinetic heroine. Abaddon had learned much during that battle, and he had learned how to use his tendrils and symbiote to combat against shadows and light to the point where he rarely needed to use his forbidden abilities to aid himself.
Seth had been off on his carrying out a certain ritual. It was a necromancy ritual meant to summon a spirit, but instead of asking it for prophecies, Seth's plan was to ask it for some knowledge on more dark spells. He was just about to add the finishing touch to it, when BAM, thunder. This effectively distracted him and made him lose his focus, causing the summoning runes to blur and disappear.

"You've got to be kidding me. It took me nearly half an hour to get that far, now it's ruined. What a waste."

Seth sighed and stood up from his kneeling position, then made the arcane crystal dagger he was holding fade jnto magical wisps. Pulling the sleeve of his black shirt over his left arm, he walked away from the lonely spot and to the center of the cabins area. Some people were already out and about, most likely awoken by the thunder. Seth spoke to none of them, and simply headed to the breakfast place to nab some more food than usual before more campers got there.
"Well done," Abaddon hissed. However, his voice could be heard directly behind Lass. He smelled and felt his arrival as soon as he had arrived. The reason why Lass had felt a strong presence in the direction he had thrown the shadow fists was because Abaddon had been there for quite a while, allowing the "dark aura" of his to build up and linger there even after he left the spot.

"So you've even troubled yourself to find us even without general clues... tell us, why do you seek us?"
Abaddon waited patiently in the darkness of the sewers. He knew that Lass was inexperienced at best despite having tremendous potential with umbrakinesis, but had a feeling he'd eventually catch on. Abaddon was attuned to darkness as well, having absorbed the knowledge of forbidden spells. He too left a trail of darkness that could be detected by those like Lass and other magic users, provided they were skilled or focused enough to detect it.

"A protégé.... could be an interesting prospect... today's metas need to discard that mantle of virtue and take up viciousness and mercilessness to deal with the scum of society. But how much will this kid listen? He's killed the innocent before, he'll be bound to long for that again... what's more, if I do take him under my wing..."

"#How long until he feels the urge to betray us?"
(@Deathmaker: Remember, the destruction and chaos still hasn't reached the area they are in yet.)

"Look at them, all fighting and destroying everything around them. Even the metas unaffected by our signals fight each other to the point of death! At this rate, we shall need to speed our course for earth in order to take full advantage of this chaos!"

Another alien spoke in response to the words of the commander.
"Now?"

"Do not speed us forward yet. Much more chaos needs to happen before we proceed..."

"My name is Abaddon."

Abaddon noticed that Katherin seemed intent on listening in and observing their conversation. Freelance writer indeed. He would have given her a hint of who he really was, but decided such an action would be too risky so out in the open. For all he knew, this girl would want to work in uncovering secret identities for extra cash. Some metas would become famous and praised when they revealed their true seleves, but such a thing was reserved for the "heroic and virtuous ones". Those like Abaddon would be hated and hunted down by the public and government.
He looked back to Lass who was currently still standing there in awe. Abaddon decided to test his skills, tracking and... more combative skills to guage where he was. A child like him would be in dire use of a mentor, and Abaddon would be the perfect one in teaching how to use powers for personal pleasure and the greater good.
"Let's see how willing you are to learn... see if you can find me..."

With that, Abaddon camouflaged himself and swung away from the spot. Eventually he stopped near an alley where a sewer grate was, and shifted into his amorphous body to slip inside the sewer system. The sewer system was part of the mysterious Underground though, as was pretty much everything.... well, underground. Abaddon decided to stay in an accessible place.

Name: Jason ArdenAlias: Golden ThunderGender: maleAge: 16Powers/Abilities: Shazam's abilities, Personality: Angry, Twisted, was once happy but now the world is a dark place, Backstory: Jason lived a fairly normal life, he was an average kid besides the fact he lived in an orphanage, he lived an okay life and even had a girlfriend, but things really got interesting when he met an old man who asked him to become a protector of mankind, when Jason agreed he was given the powers of Shazam! Life got fun after that Jason did his best to be a hero. He even managed to do a pretty good job, but nothing good lasts forever. When his girlfriend was murdered Jason spiraled out of control, losing himself in his hate he started to become a beacon of punishment instead of justice. He only went downhill from there, turning against his fellow heroes and turning to self gain and a path of malice becoming something dark...Alignment Status: Evil/Chaotic[IMG]

Hey mak, glad you're here, but I kind of see a bit too much potential for an overpowered character here. Being able to lift entire continents and having strength that so nearly rivals Superman? Loads of invulnerabilities to both physical and mental attacks, extremely quick healing even when he gets hurt...

I like Shazam as much as the next guy, but it'd be a good idea to tone down his powers. Do that and include an explanation on the limits of each, and you'll have a better chance of being accepted.
Abaddon withdrew the tendril back to himself and simply stood up and crossed his arms. The kid may have been a serial murderer, and he may have had a twisted mindset (because how else would you even think of doing such things), but in truth...

Lass reminded Abaddon of himself when he first bonded with the symbiote. At the same age of 14, it had taken quite a bit to build up self control and actually have specific "prey". Maybe the kid was the same way, wild with power, wanting to use it for good but also personal satisfaction...

"Relax," he finally spoke. "No one's going to hurt you, much less eat you."

Abaddon wondered where this kid's parents were... unless of course he didn't have any...

"Now, I'll ask. What are you doing?"
Damn... Alright then, sorry to see you go :(. You can always rejoin if you'd like though.
WAT
"That's right..."

So that's why the kid seemed attuned to something dark, he had the ability of umbrakinesis. That was a rare ability on its own, though at one point Abaddon had met a heroine who actually had umbra and photokinesis. Unfortunately, she was dead, killed for fighting in defense of some crazed black magic user Abaddon that Abaddon had relentlessly tortured and killed with his claws and own series of magic. Back to the topic at hand though...

"Shadowy essence abounds from you..."

Abaddon thought back to some murder scenes he had been to on his own. A similar trace of this shadow essence was constantly found there, and though the murders were grisly, most of them were criminals. Key word being most there though...

"You'd do best to put those down," Abaddon growled as one tendril from his back lashed out and caught one of the blades.
"You may be good at hiding, but you leave behind quite the trail. You should be thankful I don't make you my next meal..."
