^_^ Hey Drakel!
Connor frowned at the change in Devika’s demeanor, she seemed to be having a pretty strong reaction to his situation. That worried him because he didn’t understand why she would care that much. It was probably because she was a caring person and even if he wasn’t officially her patient, she felt all of her patients. Even brief one’s like him.

The paranoid part of him wondered if she was upset for another reason, only one she knew.

“I don’t intend on letting them bully me.” He assured her, accepting the green squeeze ball. He looked down at it and winced when she started to clean the wound. He merely shook his head at her inquiries about pain and focused down on the ball.

As she worked he squeezed it with every sting of pain while also sucking in a deep breath through his nose.

It hurt, but he could put up with it. He’d broken his knuckles on engines before, the small cut on his arm didn’t hurt as much as broken bones.

Once again he grew silent while she worked, not knowing what to say. Though he was glad that she wouldn’t be pressing him to his MRI appointment. It was bad enough he was wasting time here getting stitched up rather than working.

When Devika was finished he found that he had overestimated how long it would take to patch him up. It hadn’t taken that long at all and now he didn’t have to worry about bleeding all over the mining pods engine.

Once the last bandage was tucked he jumped off of the examination table and turned to Devika with a small grin. “Huh, that wasn’t too bad at all.” He said, setting the stress ball back on the examination table. “Thanks for putting up with me and taking care of my arm. I’ll go ahead and get out of your hair.”

He spoke while walking toward the door, giving her a small wave. “Thanks again.” He said again before slipping out the door and then breaking into a jog to head back to Hangar Six. It wasn't because he was running away from Devika, but rather he just really needed to get back to work.
