I'm really sorry guys but I'm coming down with a cold so I might not be able to post for a day or two. I'll try to get something up as soon as I can.
A magus? We gotta swap spells!

Valeriya's backstory

Can we get a list of the full party that's made the cut?

When do we start posting IC?

I'm thinking of taking the Carnival card (illusions and false dreams) to represent "the call." Anyone else want that card?

Characters should be first level, just realized I didn't clarify that.

No worries. Happens to the best of us. :)

Alright for those of you who have been craving more information on the campaign setting and campaign information here it is, I will be running a Curse of the Crimson Throne adventure path (with a few twists and turns). This is a campaign that deals with some darker issues (organized crime, prostitution, drug addiction, child slavery, things of that like), I will post a link for the campaign traits which you will pick one of. Now I'm a GM and a player that likes to add a little fluff to my campaign traits, not saying you get any bonuses for picking certain traits, but make the description your own. For example when I ran this campaign with a few of my friends I played a set of aasimar (muse touched) twins, both took one of the Unhappy Childhood traits, my male character (Se'ra) was sold to the crimelord to settle his father's gambling debt, he refused to become one of the crimelord's pickpockets and was tortured mercilessly until he escaped. The general description of the trait was still there but compounded on why he was being tortured. His sister however took the religious trait, I decided to tie her to the crimelord in a different way, after Se'ra was sold to the crimelord his and (Le'ra's) father began to beat her in a attempt to "Cleanse the strangeness" from her, she wasn't directly connected to the crimelord but the actions of her father selling her brother was connection enough. In regards to character generation we will be doing a 20-point build, you will also pick two traits besides your campaign trait, you do not have to pick drawbacks, this is my GM gift to you. Also be advised I admire creativity, great ideas and a few other traits, this may earn you a small reward if not only I think it is worthy of said reward but others do as well. This reward will be in many forms, possibly stumbling upon a couple hundred gold, earning NPC respect, and a few other things. If you feel I have forgotten anything don't be afraid to ask, also if you need help ask, as a GM it is my job to not only enjoy running the game, but guide you and ensure you have fun. So lets all work together to make this a fun and exciting time for all.As promised a link for the Campaign Traits: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/campaign-traits/curse-of-the-crimson-throne

Sounds awesome and thanks for the extra traits. What's the starting level?

I have no problems with changelings due to the fact that they are very close looking to humans (until someone is right up on them.) Ermine has already shown me what is to be unveiled, so if you want to pm me your character concept Larkos then go ahead, as stated all classes are open.

I pmed you the concept and lvl1 character sheet. Note about changelings, it's apparently a DC 11 Kn(local) check to notice a changeling isn't human.

In the interest of helping others decide party balance, the character is a witch.
Color me interested. Would Changeling be okay? James Jacobs (the creative director of the game) said the average person wouldn't be able to spot one and my character doesn't know exactly what she is other than non-human.
I'm not inherently against crossovers but Marvel, LotR, and DW are terrible candidates just from their different rules alone. LotR is past centered, has medieval technology at best, magic is so rare it's almost non-existent, and other races are as populous as humans and live with them on the same planet. Marvel is present centered, has futuristic technology, magic is huge and game-breaking (seriously Doctor Strange could take on all the non-magical avengers at once and win), and humans dominate the planet with other races living only where humans cannot (Atlanteans, Moloids, etc.) DW is future centered, has far more advanced technology than even the most advanced race in Marvel, magic is just another form of science, and aliens walk amongst humans mostly in secret. LotR has a subtle guiding hand theology, Marvel has active and interfering gods and godlike entities, and DW has no god with the Doctor acting as a guiding hand instead. DW is all about technical pacifism with the solutions always being brains over violence. Marvel and LotR prefer combat with heroes.

Then there's the power creep issue. Like Archie meets the Punisher, crossovers get ridiculous when one side is clearly stronger than the other. The aforementioned story played it for laughs and it only lasted a single issue. Doctor Strange would kick Gandalf's ass without a second thought. Thor would wipe the floor with Aragorn. Anyone should technically beat the Doctor because he isn't a fighter but, chances are, he'd pull some trick out of his ass and defeat everyone up to and including the One-Above-All. No matter what, someone looks like a chump.

Maybe just crossing one over with the other. Definitely not all three. I also really don't think LotR would work with either of them. So Marvel/DW is theoretically possible but still highly unlikely. Even DW doesn't like alternate universes and the present shown on DW isn't anything like Marvel's.

Question though. By "reimagined canon characters," does that mean like an alternative universe? Like the ultimate universe? 'Cause I like that idea. Means less continuity to worry about.
I prefer to have OCs but I can stand to play a re-imagined marvel superhero (I call Hercules if so.)
I was actually a part of the site before the great crash but I'm back now and ready to RP.
