Rastun stopped following their attacker, and listened to the plan. After Megatron was done explaining, he replies, "I don't see anything wrong with that."

"Well that was anti-climactic..." Brainwave noted. "Rastun, see if you can get close enough to the guy that thing is following for me to ID him. I want to know who this is before we over commit to dealing with him. Be careful though, if Sideways wants him to be a decoy he surely has some sort of trap set up."

"Got it," Rastun replies. He trails the retreating mechanoids, keeping himself as distant as possible. This was similar to when he was trailing Brainwave and Megatron, but Rastun hopes their sensors aren't as good as the Transtech's.
"You've got to be kidding me," Rastun said. Immediately, he flies out of the ship and blasts at the attacker from a suitable distance with the Astafanel's wrist cannons.
It was very fortunate that Rastun took those aspirin pills beforehand. "Yet another round of fun. How could I not be?"
Rastun sighs in exasperation yet again, but if he was being honest with himself, he never expected good news in the first place. To top off Sideways's escape, there was whatever data Brainwave wanted him to look at. As he examines it, Rastun realizes that it's as bad as he feared. Several hundred timelines and dimensions were merged in that location, similar to the universe he came from. They needed to find the cause of this second anomaly as soon as possible. The more immediate problem is Sideways though, and he's probably connected to the anomaly somehow anyway.

"So, how many cities are we going to decimate in our second attempt at catching Sideways? I assume you have an idea how to start this off."

However, Rastun takes the first step and takes out his bottle of aspirin, gulping down two pills.
"Wow, the heroes of the story ladies and gentlemen, just look at them go! Clearly the perfect team to take down one of the most infamous tricksters in history. I'm honestly starting to think we might be better off on our own here, what do you think Joe?"

Megatron simply shrugged. "Truth be told we could probably do with a few free meat shields for the time being."

"Oh joy..." Was the only response the Transtech could muster before opening his com. "Rastun, get over here. We've had a slight change in plans."

"On my way," he replies. Rastun heads for the area where the mechs are usually docked, then takes out the device Brainwave constructed for him and presses the bottom button to take out the Astafanel from its transwarp space storage. As he went into his mech's cockpit, he immediately flies off toward their location.

Arriving within Liege Maximo's flagship, Rastun finds his two companions.

"What is it this time?"

I'm definitely interested
In the Nadesico

While Brainwave and Megatron were off trying to reason with Liege Maximo, Rastun wanders around the ship's living quarters. He pilfers through the cabinets, hoping to find something of value and his persistence eventually pays off. He finds a bottle of aspirin. He'll surely need it for the trials to come.
"Of course it does. It has several varieties of countermeasures against remote hacking, and anyone stupid enough to try and pry it open up-close would receive a high-voltage shock, which is intense enough to kill most lifeforms. The Overseers really dislike anyone attempting to steal their machines.

"Lance shouldn't be that big a worry due to him being a dolt, though I admit Megatron can be worrisome. Still, I'm open to additional security ideas."
Rastun can only sigh as he listened to the banter between Megatron (one version of him anyway), Brainwave, and that idiot drug dealer. Hopefully the Cybertronians can handle things from here, but he'll interfere too if it came down to it. Rastun's train of thought then drifted to the amount of time he spent inside his Chronoframe. It couldn't have been that long, but he sure felt otherwise. Well, he supposes it couldn't hurt to bring up a small request. They've all been miraculously cooperative with each other so far.

"So, is there any way I can dock my mech inside that ship? I wouldn't mind walking around in there with my own two feet for a while. Unless the crew is suddenly about to wake up, which shouldn't be all that likely."
