With all of this discussion on wank, the prospect of OP war fleets and the entire focus of war instead of meeting, building nations, forming cultural exchanges and learning from each other I'm not sure if making the Alarai were a smart idea. ;w;

That aside, would anyone else like to make contact with the Pearl Fleet? I can easily say that they split off smaller bits into scout fleets sent on ahead while the rest of the fleet stayed with the slow moving Zhang He
...yeah because having one or two small scout ships appearing next to a large fleet, next to a planet with 3 other alien powers, and appearing next to a planet with confirmed activity is having ships everywhere.

...Considering that those three alien powers, that one planet and the large fleet are all supposed to be so wide and separate that they can't discover each other on their own despite their advanced technology, yes I would say that that would be considered having ships everywhere.

"Not much more to discuss?" The admiral said, frowning. "But there is so much more to discuss! Meetings, formal declarations, exchange of cultures, everything is a possibility."

The Admiral paused to reign in his excitement before continuing. "While we would definitely be willing to discuss the possibility of trade routes, I do believe that it is not something that should be decided between the military." Admiral Hei explained. "If you would like, we can send an envoy to one of your planets, or if you would prefer it we would be more than willing to welcome an envoy aboard the Pearl Fleet."
"...Actually," Gerald said as he looked around the completely equally green and brown looking forest, "I... don't really have an idea of which way to go. I was hoping that you would have an idea." he admitted.

In his defence, he had never been in a forest before so this was a completely new, foreign and creepy environment to him.
Gerald had, of course, heard the shots from behind him as he gathered himself from the landing. Turning behind him, he looked up to see a dead nevermore and what appeared to be a girl wearing a cloak.

Gerald could see very practical reasons for wearing a cloak. Having a cloak allowed one to conceal their hand movements, something which Gerald ascribed and respected, having also taken the same concept in having a long coat. Cloaks also helped conceal body language, something Gerald found very helpful. The hood of the cloak even concealed one's identity. But even then, there was still that one little fact that, even - or rather, especially - taking all of this into account, that had Gerald extremely concerned.

Each and every single advantage he had just listed was designed to work against humans. Not Grimm; humans. Beowolves didn't memorize specific faces by sight, humans did. Ursas didn't read body language, humans did. Her wearing a cloak was a warning sign - a warning to Gerald that his new partner was going to be hiding things. Of course, he could have been wrong and she could be using the cloak for completely other reasons - possibly even just fashion - but Gerald always hoped for the best and assumed the worst.

"...Well hello there," Gerald said with a smile straight off the bat, not bothering to comment on the fact they were partners for he found no reason to voice the obvious - "Gerald Tarius. Jack of all trades, odd jobs specialist and handy man. Pleased to meet you." he said, offering his free left hand up for a handshake despite the fact she was looking down at him.
Sorry Scar. I'll post tonight, I promise.
Also Duck, please respond to Pearl Fleet.
Gowia, I definitely agree that Aztlan and URSA would have a history. I think it can either be peaceful or antagonistic; we can discuss it in PMs.
Work in Progress

Name of Nation: New Aztlan Republic

Territories: Texas State, Mexico, Central America, Cuba and Columbia.

Government Type: Democracy.

Military: The Aztlan Military is, by its own admission, nowhere near the largest nor most advanced. It does pride itself, however, on the professionalism of its troops in the matters of jungle warfare. By far the largest and most important part of her military is the infantry corps, all of whom are trained for two roles: Urban and Jungle combat. Taking lessons dating back all the way back from the pacific, the infantrymen guarding the Southern and Central lands of Aztlan are masters of jungle warfare using traps, tunnel networks and camoflauge to engage in extremely effective guerilla warfare.

The Armoured Corps of the Aztlan Military is mainly comprised of units whose technology have been reverse engineered from captured American equipment and vehicles during the Mexican overrunning of the state of Texas. If not using outright stolen American equipment, the Aztlan military will be using derivative technology. Most of the Armoured Corps are stationed in the North, where the wide Deserts make conventional large scale warfare much more likely.

The Air Force of the Aztlan Military can be described as Average.

Finally, the Aztlan Navy patrols her shores. Consisting of several Missile Cruisers, Destroyers and Submarines, the Navy is stationed in and around the rebuilt Panama Canal.

The Aztlan Military also privately contracts the Aztechnology, the Research and Development subdivision of Aztechnical Corporations, to create extremely powerful and potent biological weapons. Aztechnology has successfully developed both an airborne Ebola virus, a vaccine and an intercontinental ballistic missile delivery system for the said biological weapon.

Economy: Aztlan maintains a capitalist economy in which it's major corps, Aztechnical Corporation, exerts a major influence.

Foreign Policy: Aztlan is open to democracy, but then again, so is any other nation. Aztlan's main priorities are to prevent the spread of foreign influence in the carribean and Central America.

History:(Obvious)

Foes:(Factions or other nations your nation hates)

Population:(Population)

Other:(Anything else)
My Aztec Empire is essentially Mexico taking the chance to both avenge the loss of the American-Mexico war and forcefully weeding out US influence in the Carribbean and Central America by removing all of those US-backed governments they put in place during the cold war via Covert Regime changes that were obviously "for the benefit of the people".
