Everyone else should have been able to talk; why didn't they? Why did no one say anything, greet each other? How long would they stay in awkward silence before one would take the initiative to address the broader group? How much longer would everyone else be content to remain in this strange silence that Airan felt was unbearable? His own attempts to speak had all failed; it did not understand - other than the fact it simply just couldn't talk. Had this slime lost its ability to speak before its body was granted to him? Was this intentional?

Even as he approached the statue with everyone else, he could not help but feel agonized. The silence was dangerous. It was a sign they did not wish to communicate. That meant mistrust. The occupants of this room mistrusted each other, and that, Airan felt, was dangerous. Mistrust led to paranoia, paranoia led to recklessness and recklessness led to mistakes. Fatal ones. Killings in the name of self defence; any hope for teamwork and cooperation destroyed by the idea that each other was out to get everyone else.

...Come to think about it, maybe it was he who was just paranoid.

As he walked, one step at a time, his helmet's movement the only indication that his gaze was switching between all of the occupants in the room, the silent knight only wanted one thing.

Speak. Make conversation. Do anything to end this unbearable silence.

Name: Shinji Nikawa
Age: 20
Appearance: I did not draw this
Powers/Equipment:

The Take-copter - a small little helicopter mount which enables a person to fly by putting it on their head.

Aside from the Take-copter, Shinji also carries with him a laptop, a cellphone, pen and paper, a flashlight, a swiss army knife, a handheld charger, an AC adapter, his wallet and a first aid kit.

Personality: Calm and rather naive, Shinji is a man of promises - once he says he will do something, he will carry through with that promise to the best of his ability. He is also one of a deep sense of adventure, although he is perfectly willing to stay back and allow others to do most of the fighting - not that he has much of a choice.

Brief Backstory: He doesn't have much of an interesting life. He was in college when he found the Take-copter and was dragged along for the adventure.

Other: None.
The first thing that the new consciousness did as it slowly gained awareness was, in all honesty, panic. For a moment, it felt itself melting and slowly yet constantly losing form, making it think that its body had somehow disintegrated or was otherwise defective. However, after a few moments of blindly wondering if it was going to die, the new awareness finally realized what was going on.

A Slime.

The entire body was that of a slime.

Taking a few moments to gather itself, the awareness gathered its bearings. It's name... its name was Airan. Yes, that was it. It was a slime, wearing a giant suit of armour - wait what? Taking another moment, the new awareness, aptly named Airan, realized that the slime was, in fact, wearing a suit of armour. Why it was doing so was a mystery, but Airan did not think that it could leave the suit of armour - yet. And because the slime had done so, Airan saw no reason to.

Slowly forcing the suit of armour into a kneeling position from the dead, crumpled form it had been in before, Airan looked around and saw companions - others. It tried to call out to them, to ask them questions, but it was then that the last surprise came.

Silence. Dead silence.

Airan could form no words.

Forced into a silent panic once again, Airan realized that there was nothing it could do - it was not that Slimes could not talk, it was that it could not talk. Seeing that it had no alternative, it began doing as everyone else did and gravitated towards the centre statue in the room, silently envying everyone around it who was making small comments.
I understand; originally I really wanted my character to pick up something ridiculously useless and instead he would act as a support/general information gatherer.

I'll find something else for him; probably something he can actually use.

EDIT: I've given him his alternate item.

Not a Human

Gender: Asexual
Alignment: Lawful Good
Race: Slime

Equipment: A Large suit of armour which is worn at all times, even during sleep. Also carries with it a greatsword and a shield. Generally also carries a bag, polishing cloth and a lantern.

Combat Skills:

"The Killing Blow" - a swordfighting style which emphasizes a constant, overwhelming offensive in order to force the enemy off if his guard in preparation for a great blow which tears through any defence the opponent can make.

"The Stalwart Defence" - a second swordfighting style which emphasizes, in contrast to "The Killing Blow," a defensive tactic allowing the enemy to create an opening through his own offence to exploit.

"Actually I'm a slime but shh they don't know that" - the use of its attributes as an acidic slime to its advantage; usually through coating Musana in its slime to use its acidic property to eat away at the opponent's sword, armour or other form of defence.

Non-Combat Skills:

Unified Language - Airan can understand any spoken language (writing not included). As an offset for this, it is completely mute.

Other than that, he is good at hand gestures as well as the polishing of armour and swords.

Mana: Average for a slime

Magical Schools: Acidic/poison magic, highly skilled in body forming.

Techniques: An emergency "dissolving" of its body into its natural slime state; its slime will pour out of every single crevice in the armour and reform very quickly. Doing this severely disorients it, leaving it with usually one opportunity but much too dizzy and disoriented to do more. This serves as its trump card.

Artificial Spirit Sheet
Name: Airan Vasilly
Personality: Cautious, very, very careful, wants to be left alone.
Talents:

Discernment - Airan is able to detect intent and falsehoods through dialogue.

Hmm... this is quite the strange RP...
...

Sounds interesting. I'm in!

Emelia Elwin
Listening to the self-proclaimed detective's explanation - well, at the very least there seemed to be some form of law enforcement on this island, in contrast to her amusement park - Emelia thought on what to do for a few moments.

"...Well, evidently this will not do." she finally spoke, completely switching to the tone of a manager in discussion with her guests. "On behalf of the park I would like to apologize for this incident, and I assure you that the strongman attraction shall be refit and adjusted to accommodate the more... unique guests of the park. The injured patron is free to contact park services for compensation and for assistance in any medical aid they will require. I would also like to assure everyone," she said, turning to Peter, "That this park does not hold responsible for damage caused by outside interference, so while that spectacle was something to see, so long as it did not directly interfere with the running of the park or the safety of our guests it is not in my list of concerns.

This thing, however," she said, turning and giving the cassette-like box Rumble was in a glare and wondering just how ridiculous she looked right now, glaring at an inanimate object, "will be paying reparations to the park for damages and injury to the guest."
Sorry for not posting for a few days, but university papers are coming up and on top of that work I'm currently in a strange situation where I'm not sure what the status of my courses will be due to the fact the term is ending while a bunch of insturctors - including those of my classes - are on strike, so I've been extremely distracted.

I'm sorry, I should have warned you I might disappear or that I was going to, I promise not to do it again and I shall post ASAP. Now, in fact.
