Iris heard the Doctor mention her and Hiro's name and broke off from their whispered private conversation.

"The Unity is grateful for your confidence in us and our leader." She spoke, referring to Hiro in "our leader".
Iris returned to her silence upon hearing that the vice president would be taking over the doctor's duties while he was gone - and that the Advent would not be needed. Satisfied in her obscurity, she turned to answer her superior in the division of planetary defence.

"Leader," Iris whispered into his ear while keeping her gaze directed at the centre of the meeting, "It is the Unity's belief that the council of the isolated - that is to say, this council - has been corrupted."
Captain Alyssa was about to make another telepathic snarky comment to Tat when Iris interrupted her verbally, speaking to the council.

"Mr. President," she asked, "The Unity would like to ask if we, as one of the few peoples capable of interstellar and space exploration, would be asked to accompany you in your journey."

Some of the Unity had asked if the Doctor would need protection during his journey from any manner of threat, and also came to the realization that if he did they were one of the only ones who could provide that protection.
Iris paused for a minute, remembering that the good leader of the psionic division was just as capable of telepathic powers as any of the advent.

Captain Alyssa conveys her belief that the head of the Psionics division's suggestion is a good one. The unity buzzed. However, Captain Alyssa would also like to ask the good department head to cease listening in on the Coalescent's thoughts. The Unity is always open to any who wish to join us in collectivity but objects to the isolated who come and go as they please. the Captain of the Greater Nest spoke with a hint of distaste in her mental voice, her thoughts directed at Tat who would pick it up from Iris.

Captain Ylsa of the Avalon would like to suggest that the Coalescent refer to Leader of Planetary defence Hiro and address her concerns to him as a preliminary action.

Coalescent Iris approves. Iris communicated her approval. He is most close to the unity, and as such we would have detected any deception or treachery long ago. As well, he is highly trusted within the council of the isolated.

And with that, Iris actually turned to look at Hiro, wondering if she could managed to whisper a request for his attention for a brief moment even as Tat distracted the vice president with his rather rebellious talk.
Iris was sitting in her place as second in command of Planetary defence. Being one of the lower ranking members of the council, Iris was unsure if she should act upon her suspicions.

Namely, the fact that through her psionic abilities, she was picking up large amounts of deceit and treachery. The Advent commander had no doubt that Vice president Shizuru's assurances were unfounded. However, where those the ambitions and the deceptions of the supposed insurgency? Or were they merely the petty traits of isolated politicians?

Greater Nest Captain Alyssa recommends voicing suspicions to the isolated for Coalescent Iris. One of the captains of the Carriers in the space above them spoke through the unity's hive mind. The moment the Doctor had made his announcement the entire unity had been telepathically debating on what Iris' next course of action should be. We cannot risk our leaders being under the influence of corruption, no matter what.

Heliopolis Captain Trinity objects to Alyssa's statement. I recommend a passive course of action for the Coalescent instead. Another member of the unity spoke up.

Acolyte Selendis, quartermaster on board the Heliopolis concurs with Captain Trinity's statement. Coalescent Iris does not hold a high position within the council of the isolated. I fear that even if we were to voice our opinion, we would not be trusted.

I hear your points and I concur with Captain Trinity and Acolyte Selendis. Iris finally decided. I will simply watch for now, safe in the knowledge that our Unity cannot be penetrated as easily as the council of the isolated.

And so the Second in command of planetary defence sat silently, watching the council meeting go on.
Oh, Enkidu, my one and only friend, how has it come to be that we are once again mortal enemies? Gilgamesh lamented. Had we not done great deeds together? Was it not together that we destroyed the great bull of heaven and slew the fearsome Humbaba?

Enkidu's punch had not penetrated the body of the king - had it been anyone else, without a doubt the blow would have been the end of them, but Enkidu was facing the King of Heroes, Gilgamesh, the King of Uruk - and his one true friend. This was not something that was new to Gilgamesh, for he had once fought Enkidu before, and as such had come to expect such things.

As a result, Gilgamesh had forseen Enkidu's imminent attack from the moment that the strange... girl, for lack of a better term had transported the two away from the mongrel Enkidu had been challenging, for he knew that in this state without the mongrel to attract Enkidu he would surely come for him. As such, Gilgamesh had been able to take a pre-emptive measure, as opposed to a reactionary measure which he certainly would have failed. It was this pre-emptive measure that protected Gilgamesh from Enkidu's strike, which had been stopped by the shield of the gods.

"However, Enkidu, my only friend, if you wish for a battle, then I shall grant it to you."

And with that, Gilgamesh pulled from the Gate the sword known as Ig Alima, the mountain felling sword. Wielding the great sword, Gilgamesh let out a massive strike which would be enough to level the surrounding area in the hopes of bringing down Enkidu, the clay weapon of the gods.
Zero, quick question:

Will the Advent Defence Fleet actually have an extraterrestrial invasion force to combat?
Thanks

Any idea on when this will start?
[Kiritsugu, Omega, Not-so-safe anymore location, Code Geass]

Seeing that their position was compromise, Kiritsugu allowed himself to give a "tch" of annoyance. "We can't stay here. We need to leave. Even if we defeat the group right now, more will come."

And with that, he concealed his presence with general magecraft before slipping out. Making an escape, Kiritsugu entered the sewers where it would be too small for the knightmare frames to enter.
Name: Iris Solitude

Age: 20

look:

species: Advent (An offshoot of Humans that developed psionic abilities)

from: Sins of a Solar Empire

Position in city: Second in Command of Planetary Defence, Commander in Chief of Combined Advent Planetary Home Fleet

weapons/tools: Cybernetic implants amplifying her psionic abilities. Further amplifications are available when on board her flagship, the ADF (Advent Defence Fleet) Ascended Throne.

A sidearm to protect herself at all times.

skills: Command, meditation, rational decisions.

abilities: Telekenetic Push: Iris is capable of pushing objects away from her with her mind. This ability is amplified to the point where she can psionically force enemy strike craft and smaller vessels away from her fleet when she is on her flagship, the ADF Ascended Throne.

Advent Unity: All Advents have a psionic link with each other in a collective hive mind. Iris is the leader of this hierarchy due to her psionic skills within the unity being the highest - amongst known advents, at least. As a hive mind, deception, secrets and treachery are unknown to the Unity.

Tempest: Iris shares her psionic concentration with that of the crew who remotely psionically pilot the strike craft launched from the ship, allowing for greater numbers of strike craft to be launched and built in the heat of battle.

Member of Shaow of the Universe?: No

other: As the greatest known collection of Advent, the Advent Defence Fleet which protects the planet and the council from any extraterrestrial hostile threats is made up of a (relatively) large number of ships. The Combined Advent Defence Fleet consists of:

Three Halcyon Carriers (Due to their low number each captain was allowed to name their own ship. Current carriers include: Iris' personal flagship ADF Ascended Throne, as well as the ADF Greater Nest and the ADF Hunter's Perch)

Seven Radiance Battleships (To establish a belief of ascension and worthiness upon the Advent crew of these frontline ships, each ship is named after a mythological location. Current Radiance Battleships include: ADF Heliopolis, ADF Valhalla, ADF Styx, ADF Inferno, ADF Alfheim, ADF Asgard and ADF Avalon)

Five Discord Battleships (To instil the fear and power these ships create on large enemy fleets with their superior area of effect weaponry and psionic abilities, each ship is named after a deity of war. Current Discord Battleships include: ADF Mars, ADF Belus, ADF Freya, ADF Athena and ADF Pallas)

Five Rapture Battlecruisers (To remind the fleet of the protection and support these ships provide to the combat ships yet still remaining a significant threat on their own, each Rapture Battlecruiser is named after a goddess associated with motherhood to symbolise their role as the greater guardians of the Advent Defence Fleet. Current Rapture Battlecruisers include: ADF Terra, ADF Hera, ADF Toci, ADF Amaterasu and ADF Ninsun)

Miscellaneous Advent cruisers and frigates of various roles and classes.
