"Look, I offered you a fair price for this. If you won't take it, it's not because of my greed but your stingy actions! It took me over a week to even find something this good anyways." The man in front of Aera's "shop", which consisted of a dingy rug with trinkets spread out on it within the marketplace, grumbled as he fingered the silver ring. She was asking a decent price, but he wanted nearly half of what she thought it was worth. With a few more minutes of grumbling, the man fished out two cans of chili from his bag and an apple and tossed it before the red-haired woman. "I'll offer you this and that's as high as I'll go."

Aera gave a smirk in response. "I don't want the apple, I want the tomatoes. You give me three of those tomatoes and I'll throw in a ring box for free. Hard to find those intact anywhere." The man threw down a burlap sack, and one of the roma tomatoes within rolled out. Aera tossed the ring box up at the man, who swiftly caught it before walking away. Well, dinner was always nice to have after a long day spent diving in trash piles. She managed to find a small dagger along with a beat up katana she was restoring while digging in the far outskirts, but not without running into a few of the Invokers. She had no problem killing them like she would any shadow, though it was difficult to hide their bodies. She even managed to loot her 9mm pistol and some ammo off of them, and it was a good day for her.

As the hours passed and afternoon approached, she rolled up the little amount of trinkets she had left in her shop mat and tucked it away within her rucksack before heading into the housing district of the rag-tag town she "lived" in. She lived in the bottom floor of an abandoned apartment complex with the other women, and it was set up much like a dorm--each floor was reserved to a specific gender, and every night the younger residents who were armed took up guard duty for the night. As she turned the corner out of the marketplace, a strange dog-thing floated past her. 'A persona?' she wondered to herself before absentmindedly readjusting the bandage on her upper arm. It was odd to see a persona wandering without its master, and she could feel her own become restless as she watched the dog twirl in the sky. Aera couldn't help her curiosity, and she decided to wait and see who exactly this little guy belonged to.
-flips table- so we just sit at the train station qq i should have brought my booze, then i could have gotten drunk early
xD yay for improvising! And anxiety! yaaaaaaay

ok idk what to do next, is the big guy who knocked tak out at the station? do we get to kick his ass?
It seemed that despite Akira's efforts to haul ass to the train station had been for naught, and her eyes widened as she pressed her finger against the earpiece before listening. She could hear Youhei loud and clear now, but it was becoming distorted with every word he spoke. So, the train was now moving? How the hell was she supposed to help them now? The auburn haired girl tried her best to stifle the despair washing over her, and she tightened her grip on Shirogane's wrist as frustration began to ebb at the edge of her mind.

"They're gonna be okay..." she began to choke out before attempting to clear her throat. "They have to..." She then looked back to Shirogane, her eyes watering as she struggled to hold back her tears. Guilt began to flood her mind as well, and she couldn't help the tightness in her chest as she berated herself. If only she'd left earlier, if only she didn't forget where she hid her evoker. Akira was slowly beginning to crack as the reality of the situation began to slam into her system. "I...I'm scared, Shiro. W...what if..?" she trailed off before looking away, noting that the train station was within sight. Her grip on Shirogane's wrist loosened, and instead she was now gripping his hand. Of course, she was too distracted to notice and instead her mind was muddled with anxious thoughts of what could happen. She had no idea if her companions, the new ones to be exact, had followed, but she couldn't find it in her heart to care. The only ones she could focus on now was the boy beside her, and the two on the train now fighting for their lives.

My excuse for Akira's backwards personality atm is that she's gonna go home after the battle is over and get drunk off her ass to deal with all of this. Yayayay bananas, yum.
It seemed that Akira had reached her breaking point when she witnessed Shirogane's breakdown, for a lack of a better word. It was as if the boy had completely shut down, and to be honest she was surprised that she was managing to remain somewhat untouched by the night's events. All she chalked it up to was that she could deal with all of this after everyone was safe, and she couldn't do that unless she got everyone moving, including the introverted boy who had clammed up in a matter of seconds. She took a couple of quick strides before clasping her hand around Shirogane's wrist, and then pulled him forwards and out the door. She then continued walking forward, growling out "We don't have time for this!" and then pressed onward.

Hopefully the adrenaline running through her would hold out a little longer, or at least long enough to get everyone safely to the train station. Akira was ready for all of this to end, and this time she didn't bother to look back towards the dorm and see if the rest were following. To be honest, she couldn't find it in her heart to care anymore, and her concerns were set on the boy she was tugging along, and the others who were probably fighting for their lives on the train this very moment.
