It's exam season, boys and girls, so postage should be up over the weekend. If you don't hear from me by Monday, honour my memory.

Well then. I'm exceedingly British, rather sarcastic and I love a good shipfest in my RPs. Also male. Funny, that. Fair warning, I will treat you like an adult. That means I will mock you, point out your mistakes and most likely /cringe when you do something really autistic. Being an adult means accepting criticism and working to improve yourself, not ignoring it. And if I need calling out on my bullshit, just do it. Please. Nothing is worse than not realising that you've said or done something stupid til a week after the fact.

I currently live in Japan, so my posting hours are... weird. Please bear with me.

It's frustrating when RPG tricks me into posting on the IC...
Anyways as I was saying, Eika and Jake have been re-added to the charatcer list, which means we're at full strength again. Once Jericho's team have gotten a few more posts up, we'll kick things off.

Sergeant Harald, Gallian Militia

Fireteams, eh... Now there was a thought. Sending Celeste off with half the squad had worked out well at Le Haye Sainte and future battles would likely require further delegation. Plus with half the squad openly resenting his leadership, having a buffer bewteen them could be beneficial. 'Y'know Hunt, that ain't a bad idea. We could do with dedicated assault and rifle sections at least.' Harald paused thoughtfully as he took a deep drag of his cigarette. Stichler would be in charge of one section certainly and her point was valid. Maybe if he stuck all the long range and anti-tank troops together? They would be slow-moving for sure, but they could work around that. A solid base of fire so they others could flank. 'Would need a rifleman though...', he mused quietly. 'Alright then. Let's try this; Stichler, you take the lancers and Lorque, that gives you four. Add Bons too.' A total of four lances and a sniper, each with their own rifles, would make an excellent anvil for the rest of the squad to strike upon. Next up he needed strike teams; three would be ideal, but with nine candidates remaining, a four/five split would be safer. Harald's eye drifted back to Hunt's expectant face. It was obvious what he was hinting at and the real kicker was that he was right. No-one else was sufficiently qualified to command a section.

'... Hunt, I'm giving you a field promotion to Lance Corporal. I'm not technically allowed to, but to hell with the details.' Hopefully it wouldn't go to his head, although since hunt was originally Army, Harald knew it inevitably would. 'You'll take... Ashart, Fairglaive and... Rousseau.' For a moment he was about to say Jatmoore, but some lingering sense of distrust prevented it. Besides, Hunt's section would need an equal number of gunners and riflemen. 'And that means the rest of you lot are with me.' Not that they were all listening of course. He sighed, gave Hunt an encouraging slap on the back and pulled himself up into the APC between two of the new recruits. 'Lorque and Ashart, wasn't it? Sorry, been too busy for a chinwag yet. How're you settling in with the others?' While he tried to treat them all equally, he couldn't help but want to talk to Skye specifically. Since Fina had gone silent and Kyo returned to base, he felt there was a distinct lack of Folk in Squad Four. Harald would admit to being relieved to see that issue redressed. Unfortunately she had already vanished, off socialising with one of the others. Shame, but there would be time for cultural reunions later.
'Wait, they hit Timber?' Duncan's face turned sheet white. He had sent Syrus and Eika back there before the final stand... 'Did any of my team turn up? Big redhead guy, small mystical looking girl?' He hoped not, although something told him that things might have turned out differently if they had. Neither of them were exactly model SeeDs, but they were goddamn powerhouses in the field. He also worried for Yoko and her other subordinates, especially since his former adjutant was not really fit for field work. Also, Kein would have an aneurysm if he found out. If they ever found Kein... He took the proffered SMG gratefully, noting that he had only one spare mag. Not really enough to last a firefight, but it would do in a pinch. 'Thanks Griff.' Somehow the nickname suited the taciturn SeeD. 'Just don't leave yourself short. I don't really know what happened. First thing I remember after getting caught was testicular pain.' Duncan grimaced. 'Not a pleasant memory.' Not that they hadn't been given a few hints of what was happening in the outside world. Fresno's squad looked like they had been here a while, on duties they weren't accustomed to. Not to mention Mako's ominous reference to 'Her Majesty', whoever that was. 'At any rate, we've got more pressing issues at hand. Can you walk?'

Soon after, he crouched behind a crate, trying to come up with a solution to their current predicament. 'That's the way upstairs. No other route.', Fresno added helpfully. Unlike the wardens from before, these two looked properly switched on. They wouldn't be able to break them up... 'Well,', Duncan said ruefully. 'That's a kick in the balls. The way I sees it, we have two options. Either use Fresno as a distraction, then flank and shiv 'em, or else send Minerva and Fresno with a classic warden/prisoner trick.' He have Minerva a challenging grin. 'How are your reactions? Think you could take one of them down with a breadknife?' It would give him and Griffone enough time to bullrush the other one at least. Not a foolproof plan by any means, but the best they had in the circumstances.
Anyone on the other team planning on posting? If things get too slow and people start running out of ideas, we can bring in the cavalry.
Aargh... I wanna be all over this, but I can't guarantee more than one post a week.
Alright then, @Ashifili @Engel and @ByTheSpleen, are you guys still around?
Sure, go for it. Minor changes are ok, just don't do anything rash. No surprise gender bending pls.

Every time you post Slyph, I swear...

>Ragnite is not just used as an energy resource, but also has magical aspects. Valkyria are supernatural compared to humans, beings considered close to gods.
>As there are beings that transform into tanks, there are also weapons that imitate living things.
