Brief History & Behavior:

Extremely ill as a child and incredibly frail Lumen was not able to put on weight. She would suffer broken bones for simply bumping into objects. Born blind that caused said colliding it seemed as though she was set up to fail. Not much is known about her family but the hunch is they could no longer afford the substantial medical bills, and gave her up for adoption. She was lucky at first as a family who were well off scooped her up almost instantly. Apparently important jet-setters they were constantly hundreds of miles away. Unfortunately their private plane crashed and both were instantly killed. Her nanny said that the young girl would not have to worry about a thing because she would be set for the rest of her life. Their eldest was a lawyer and when they requested the will, it took her a few days to retrieve it. On the day of the revealing Lumen’s heart shattered to find that she was not listed on there, and that everything was given to the eldest biological daughter. Everyone knew what had happened, a controversy no one could undue.

Lumen, left to her own devices had to leave in obligation and bounced from one foster family to the next. At the still innocent age of ten a family in the slums was awarded custody—only God knows why. Later the tattooed girl learned they had control over that particular court system since they upheld many beneficial connections. This was their deal, purchasing young children to teach them the ways of crime. She learned how to take a beating as well as dish one out. Her young brothers and sisters in law hustled the streets of downtown Euthneia for years all the while she discreetly pocketed small amounts of the profit so she could run away.

After her sixteen birthday she had managed to be save enough cash and bolted to travel abroad. With fake ids and passports nothing stopped her and no one ran after her. Leaving the past behind until being unexpectedly tracked down and given a handwritten letter by the Headmistress of CTS. Weeks passed by in thought about attending. Not sure if she would have much future without an education she reluctantly went. The Headmistress took the once timid girl under her wing and became a mother figure. Lumen grew to learn many secrets but the one prospect that frightened her most was yet to come. With the Headmistress near death, Lumen would assume future responsibility of the Academy.

Scarlet is a haunting beauty with snow white features. Natural eyes the color of a gloomy December sky much like the waves found in her waist length hair. There is an otherworldly ruby hue in those almond shaped orbs, which makes itself known periodically. Tone as angelic as her heart shaped face, when she speaks one can find themselves entranced. A intricate heavy duty necklace is always worn around her slim neck. After Freshman year she has never been seen without it.

Scarlet remains a mysterious being even to those who have known her a time. There are rumors about her history that range from tragic to downright hilarious but she pays little mind. For example upperclassmen have whispered tales of Scarlet found as a baby in the frozen wastelands of Neo Norway. Abandoned by parents and nearly incased in ice. This would explain the ghostly features she possesses. To justify a suspicious past there is no binder in the faculty office on the platinum blonde or trace of her acceptance even into the Academy. All records of the girl are highly classified and held within the Headmistresses personal filing cabinet. Though no one is sure how she was accepted, many speculate that the Headmistress personally invited her here. As far as personality wise the alabaster maiden treats everyone the same no matter how cruel or kind. She is either as sickly sweet as she seems or the opposite. Blending into the background like an ethereal spectral she observes her surroundings and the people in it with ever watchful eyes. Upholding an elegant demeanor she can be unpredictable since her past is unknown and she does not run with a specific crowd.
