Name:
Vesperia
Dragon age:
Adult
Age from hatching:
255
Gender:
Female
Magic:
Dark magic | Necromancy
A late bloomer she is still learning her abilities especially because she spent years trying to suppress them but she can manipulate the element of Dark to a degree, and bend it to her will:
° Summoning: She can beckon the spirits of the dead to come fourth and aid her. Instead of skulls or withering apparitions they appear as violet hued butterflies. This took her years to learn and she feels very proud that they can be looked upon as beautiful instead of ghostly. These butterflies act as a thin protective barrier against hostile magic but begin to dissipate when repeatedly hit. Before they evaporate there is a curse affliction one can get if in close quarters.
- Cons: These summoned spirits can turn on her if repeatedly called upon
° Dark Aura Manifestation: Able to manifest own aura and release it as various dark energy attacks i.e send out a burst or wave of dark energy that pushes objects away, launch spheres that explode on contact leaving a possible short term jinx effect on target.
- Cons: Can backfire if target has deflection ability
°Gradual corruption: This is a sort of passive/defensive ability that when constantly attacked the foe has a mild chance of losing their mind in confusion or turn on their allies for a short period of time.
Dragon looks:

An eerie violet illuminates along sections of nearly impenetrable hide and instead of red fire the same purple is expelled in flame from her mouth. Vesperia is not proud of her dragon from and would rather remain in her compact form at all times. She does not feel like the harrowing shadowy structure compliments her personality and secretly wishes to have an elegant dragon form like most females have.
Compact looks:

Since reaching 100 days massive dark horns sprouted from the sides of her head, parting through platinum blond tresses. For some unknown reason they continued to grow and finally halted like a cruel crown pointed upward toward the sky. She figures it’s the curse she was placed under. Occasionally she drapes a scarf over them like a veil when feeling particularly self-conscience.
Personality:
A timidly gentle soul Vesperia is a contradiction to what others would expect from a dark dragon. She does not view her power as evil anymore but had struggled with that predication for eons. Lacking confidence, when she speaks more often than not she has to look away but is always quick to smile and help others. Very patient and steers clear of confrontation.
Background:
Vesperia’s past is quite a mystery as her egg was discarded or lost somewhere among the winter snow near an ivory powered mountain pass. On a blistering December day, a couple of poor villager children stumbled upon an oval onyx stucco textured item with amethyst flakes swirled atop. Knowing full well what was cradled inside they did not hesitate keeping a pet dragon. At first no trouble befell these humans in nurturing a simple tiny egg but on one anticipated moonlit night its exterior began cracking open—and revealed something quite hideous. This family caught by surprise had imagined a glorious creature emerging from within but were greeted by the opposite.
Never-the-less they tried in vain to raise Luna, her first name, but each day the unsightly beast grew weary and further malnourished. Without much choice they sought to do the right thing and even though she was not what they had hoped for, they had grown somewhat attached. The mother put together a traveling bag to the best of her means for the father who set off toward a 6 month trip with the little violet eyed entity. In myth or so they say, a
temple existed near the ends of the earth where an ancient dragon dwells. Protected by a cursed skull entrance no one dare enter to disturb the powerful animal within. They knew of no other location to take her and had to settle on the rumor.
Much to his amazement the tale turned out to be somewhat true and the father offered Luna as a gift to the elder who surely lived inside the spiked mountain. She stood before a long pathway spanning over a deadly drop on both sides. This moment was the most frightening of her entire life. As she hesitantly crossed pulling sickly legs one in front of the other, she peered back at her human who gave a warm encouraging smile…and her life finally begun.
There were tales of her family curse by Acerbus a GrandGrandpa dragon/father figure with multiple talents such as clairvoyance, and even renamed her after an evening star. He refuses to this day to discuss all he knows about her family, perceiving her sanity would remain pure without learning of them. Each 10 year reunion she travels alone to the closest tribe by her temple home but grew reluctant as bullying became a constant there. This is where her hatred of dark magic began. Lashing out at first only heightened their animosity toward her but she knew no other way. Acerbus intervened by telling her that dark magic is not necessarily evil but simply an absence of light. He told her to look to the moon; does she think it evil for creating darkness? This changed her perception and she learned to appreciate her powers.
This time she plans on traveling further to the tribe Festival with Acerbus’ permission, the original home of dragons to meet others like her and celebrate.
Other:
She dreams of interacting with humans since it was partly their actions that saved her, bringing her to the forgotten temple Acerbus resides in.
