Your greedy parents went for the exchange program to gain extra taxes, and accepted a student from a distant land. Of course you disprove of this because you’re automatically expected to take this mysterious person under your wing, and you know next to nothing about them. What if they are obnoxious, a snob, or embarrassing? However when this person arrives they are anything but and instead have this alluring aura about them. You don’t want to give into the temptation since you are already seeing someone but you feel this undeniable connection to them. After a few days of routine you notice people start to change because everyone is becoming violent, and people are starting to disappear. The world is changing, decaying into a dystopia. Why is this? Your suspicions are starting to land on the newcomer.
That’s the bare bones but there are many routes to take or we can plot this together further.
This could also be made into a college setting. Mysteriously out of rooms your character is tasked with the arrival of a new roommate?
Anywho, I am leaning toward a guardian type plot where the world is not what it seems. Your character is very important and needs to be kept alive thus this mysterious person is here to protect you.
Perhaps your character has amnesia and is an unsuspecting god? They will slowly start to awaken and supernatural entities will start to pose a threat.
I would be willing to play either the awakening god or the guardian.
We will obviously need to throw in some added npcs.
To add a slight twist to this if I were to play the guardian, she may be evil…this wouldn't necessarily be a problem in the beginning but along the lines when they become close it would.
Or if I were to play the awakening god, her true natural may be evil.
I like to play slightly malevolent characters...
This will also probably be a dark comedy.
