And this is true. Martial arts are in the Olympics and stuff, but as a girl who takes martial arts, it's not super impressive to be good at it.

Also, there's literally no required qualifications to being a martial arts instructor so...

That would depend on the level of skill. If your character is like an international champion, it would be gifted, but a black belt wouldn't be considered impressive.
