Name: Cyrul Vance
Age: 17
Race: Human
Appearance:
Personality: Cyrul is outgoing and somewhat boisterous, to the point that he sometimes can be annoying. He does his best in classes but his best tends not to be just barely good enough. His outwards personality is in part because of this, as he tries to counter what he deems his own lack of intelligence with an extroverted personality.
Weapon: Imperious Star. A large headed mace that transforms into a tommygun.
Semblance: Sound manipulation. Cyrul can control the levels of sound experienced by people within a certain distance from him. He can affect specific people separately, so one person might find the slightest noise deafening while another would be unable to hear.
Backstory: Cyrus grew up loving adventure, even as a young child he would always venture too far from his house, and would be the first to try new things. So when he was old enough to attend Signal academy it wasn’t even a question for him if he was going to try and become a Huntsman. Now he’s finally reached Beacon, the last obstacle between him and his chosen career.

Candace felt the telltale buzz of her phone in her pocket. The security set up on it meant that the buzz was almost certainly from a member of the Order, so she reached into her jacket and pulled out her phone, leaning against the wall of a building to keep out of the way of passersby as she checked the message. Apparently one of the other acolytes had found a lead, and the restaurant was only about ten minutes walk away, so she took off at a brisk walking pace, at the same time returning her phone to her pocket and sticking her gloved hands in her pockets. She casually ignored a wolf whistle from behind her, though whether it was directed at her or not she wasn't sure and didn't particularly care. Either way it took almost exactly the amount of time she figured to reach the location sent by the other acolyte, pushing the door open and stepping inside with a few glances to take in her surroundings. It wasn't hard to spot the other acolyte in the room, even if the restaurant had been full, which it certainly wasn't. She quietly strode over to him and sat down in the chair across from him, elbows on the table with her hands tented under her chin. She spoke in a low voice, enough above a whisper as to not be suspicious, but quiet enough that it wasn't likely anyone would hear them. The demons bound to her begrudgingly informed her of the fae energy emanating from the waitress moving between tables.

"Just the one?" She asked, looking at Kyle.

This will be written up better and more categorized in the OOC if there’s enough interest.
Basically this would be set in the RWBYverse, but an alternate reality where the main plotline of RWBY doesn’t happen, so as to give us a more dramatic main story. Teams RWBY and JNPR won’t exist, nor will “team” CRMSN. Students from other teams might be mentioned but won’t make any major appearances. The teachers can be played by people if they want, but since they won’t be getting very much screentime I’d recommend playing a student or villain as well.
The RP would start at the same point as the show, with students arriving at Beacon academy. All student characters should be first years, but there can be a fair bit more age lenience with villains. Storyline wise this will start out pretty basically, being a mix of action with early missions and that kind of thing as well as a bit of slice of life, but the story will definitely pick up as villains are introduced. The only canon characters I’ll accept people playing are Glynda Goodwitch, Professor Port, and Doctor Oobleck, and I’d highly recommend you play another character as well if you choose one of those, though I’m limiting it to two per person.
As far as the villainous group goes I want to keep them somewhat mysterious for awhile, but if you have an idea that runs more as a villain run it by me and I’ll tell you if it would work.

If you haven't seen RWBY I recommend watching at least the first volume, it's only about two hours long and can be found on youtube.

Personality: Candace tends to be withdrawn for the sake of her own sanity, and keeps a logical, nigh emotionless exterior. Around people who manage to befriend her she is still rather hard to talk to with any emotional input, but she will still laugh and throw in the occasional joke or sentence revealing she is not, in fact, completely devoid of emotions.

Skills: Information extraction, sleight of hand, bluffing, knife combat, religious history.

Favorite magical types: Holy, Corrupt, Sorcery

Spells: Holy: Cleanse (A lay-on-hands type spell which can cure any natural illness, and most minor magical ones. Can also remove any sort of taint or poison from food/drink) Holy Mark (Can be used to mark an entryway with an all but invisible glyph. Demons not bound to someone will be unable to pass through it, creating either a sanctuary or a prison) Purify Memory (Only works on a willing subject: Can remove memories of Possession in which the subject was forced to carry out evil acts) Holy Fire (A blast of white fire centered from her hand. It burns all unholy beings it touches, but leaves non-evil humans and other spirits unharmed.)
Corrupt: Dominate (Causes a weak-minded subject to effectively become Candace’s slave until she stops using the spell.) Boils (Touch based spell, inflicts painful sores and boils on the area touched.) Rot Mind (Affects a touched subject with a magical disease/curse that slowly eats at their brain, driving them insane and eventually rendering them comatose.) Blade of Corruption (Candace can enchant a bladed weapon, effectively poisoning it with a range of poisons.)

Magical Items: Binding Necklace: A silver necklace in the shape of a Celtic Knot that aids in keeping Demons bound once they have been overpowered.
Blade of Truth: A six inch long knife with runes along both sides. A cut from the blade will cause a subject to answer question truthfully. It’s too brittle and small to be used in combat.
Divining Tarot: A set of tarot cards that predict the future. Unfortunately it’s always in vague ways that at best provide a slight hint to what the future holds, and at worst can actively mislead.

Non-magical items: Box of cigarettes, personalized lighter, wallet with cash, deck of nonmagical standard cards, fountain pen with reusable reservoir, combat knife, set of dentistry hooks and scalpels.

Magical Enhancements: Seraph Mark. A tattoo on her right hand of a flaming winged eye. It’s purpose is twofold, one; it helps her suppress her emotions under duress, and two; like her binding necklace, it helps keep Bound demons under control.

Backstory: Candace was born into the order, her parents being members before her, and so she was trained in their ways from a very young age.Her natural aptitudes caused her to be trained by a particularly dark group among the order, using bound Demons and, in the case of more powerful members, Fallen Angels to "fight fire with fire" Their other purpose was somehow even more sinister, reminiscent of the Inquisitions of old: Capturing and extracting information from living cult members, through torture if necessary. While Candace was never in favor of these practices she was raised to believe that even if they were not fully right, they were necessary, and she will carry them out if she believes it will aid in a mission.

If it wouldn't fit with the Order then I can come up with something else, but I have the idea of a character who was trained with the idea of "fight fire with fire" using primarily Corrupt magic but balancing it with Holy magic.
