"Alright" Xerox replied, flipping the checker's piece. It was odd, since these pieces had crowns on them, normally to crown a king, a captured piece would be placed on top. It did not matter though. Although she had whispered, Xerox barely caught wind of Serenity's words. Ah ... That's no good. She's suspicious of us. It's not going to be easy to get her on board I guess. He thought to himself. Xerox wanted Serenity on his plan, he didn't know of her ability, but she was one of the smallest inmates. Her size would be vital in cases where they needed someone to squeeze in places, like the vents.
Xerox caught the coin and put it on his other hand. It revealed crown side up. He was the black side of the checkers. Turning the board, so that the black side faced him, he noticed there was a third girl, near the card game being played. Xerox turned his head, seeing it was the new inmate from before. If possible, he wanted information. Although, he didn't want to approach, otherwise Serenity's guard would come up, which could be troublesome. He decided he would just listen in, and get some information. Placing his first piece forward, leaned in, close enough for only Josh to hear his whisper.
"Is it true, you're a terrakinetic, and Cyrus is a hacker?"
He wanted to confirm the details, to help consolidate the plans of a team. Rumors only get you so far. There were some rumors about Xerox being a healer, due to him telling some people about his infamy as the Psyche Doc. But these weren't true. Even the guards had the information wrong it seemed. Of course, it was because he altered all of their memories before his capture, when he realized there were too many of them for him to get away. His basic idea was with Josh's terrakinesis, some earthen walls would be good if there was a blunder, and Cyrus's hacking would help get information.

"The others are surely ..." as Fuyuto went to reassure Rena, Annabel interrupted, "You guys hear that?!" There were tremors and shouts outside the room. With the building violently shaking, Fuyuto lowered his body, almost hugging the ground, to stabilize himself. One of the walls broke down, and a behemoth came through it. He steadied his breathing, keeping calm. Letting it walk past was the right thing to do right now. It won't attack normally if you stay out of it's way.
Annabel seemed to step out of her cell, asking about everyone else, but before anyone could reply, there were Cactaurs. Different from the ones back on Miris. Laecora opened her cell as well, the two seemed to do different things. As Laecora came over, I pointed her over to Rena.
"Help her, I'll take on the Cactaurs." Fuyuto said, pulling out two bars from the cell.
Stepping out through his cell, he walked over to Annabel. "Even though their different from back on Miris, it should be fine."
The Cactaurs prepared themselves to fire their needles. Heading in front of Annabel, Fuyuto spinning one of the bars he took, and started to approach. The spinning wasn't perfect, the bar wasn't something he was accustomed to, but it deflected most of the needles.
From the side, one Cactaur tried to attack head on, Fuyuto flicked it away with the other bar. He turned back to the others. "Everyone ok?"
The torrent of Cactaur needles was intense, there were some needles that had gotten into his hand and leg. But it wasn't anything too bad. But if he tried to close in, he would be surrounded in a semi-circular formation, he wouldn't be able to shield the needles. "I'll keep blocking the needles, someone go take them down."

During the Great Gastrea War, there was nothing Seikou could do. Being only 15 at the time, he could not fight for his family or country, and had many family members leave for the war. He was the youngest of his family. Living with only his mother, by the time the war ended. Life with his mother was fine, until the day she became ill. They worked very hard to stay alive in their new home, Tokyo area.
Being left alone at 18, he continued to work, and one day found a loving girlfriend, Tanegashi Nanami. They met one day after he went home from his job. She was about to be forced into submission, when he saved her. He was a good fighter. He thought his life would start looking up, the day he got married to her. His life was starting to look better, until his daughter was born. She was a cursed child. Nanami went insane at the sight of those eyes, and tried to drown their child. Seikou stopped her. He didn't want that to happen. But Nanami was in such a state of mind, where she went to jump into a river with the baby, to die together with her. Seikou tried to save them, but his wife had already drowned, while his daughter was saved from the diving reflex. There was nothing he could do about it. He cried his heart out, and moved on with his life with his daughter, Kazama Nanako.
While raising his daughter, he had lots of abuse. Most people were disgusted by the Cursed Children, leading him to take on jobs that only lasted a month at most. By the time he was 19, most places had already fired him. It was difficult to raise Nanako, but he kept at it. Suddenly, he was left with nothing but to join the fight against the gastrea, with the only motivation being his daughter. He found a place where someone was raising Cursed Children. A man named Matsuzaki. Seikou became acquainted with Matsuzaki, and left Nanako to him during the day.
Before the days of the Civil Security, they would send squads of armed men to kill off Gastrea that had gotten into town. Whilst in service, he was known for taking down many Gastrea. Although, picked up on how to use many weapons, guns, swords, spear, you name it. During his service, he had made a best friend, someone who he could talk to about many things. He was Satoshi. From time to time, they were to go out on the perimeter of the monoliths, to see if there was a chance to expand the domain of the monoliths. On the field one day, he dived to protect Satoshi. He survived, but was left almost dead, losing his eye, arms and leg. Satoshi took him back to the camp, on that day, he was turned into a mechanical soldier, this all happened in the span of six months. In the next two years, before the final test of proper combat, the Kirihaya group had announced the information about the Cursed Children, their superhuman abilities. He was left jobless again, with the rise of Civil Security Corporations.
His daughter grew up quite well, in the hands of Matsuzaki. Nanako had learned to integrate into society, and with the new Erosion Resistance Shots, was safe from turning into a Gastrea. She went to school and lived happily. He could not let her be in danger, so she was not to be an initiator, unless she really wanted to be. But she didn't wish to be. So, while trying to be a promoter, they told him, they had no initiators left, and if he wanted an initiator, to bring in a Cursed Child you could find in some ruins. He decided to go to Matsuzaki, to see if any of the girls, he met there, wanted to be an initiator. He noticed that Akane Kurosawa was missing. From Matsuzaki, he had heard that there were some men that had attacked them, and that Akane assaulted them. The authorities had tracked her down and was taken in. Akane was like an older sister to Nanako and some of the other girls. He decided to go to the authorities and negotiate. Seikou went to say that he will take Akane as an initiator and keep her under watch, it seemed Akane also agreed to it.
They lived together, Akane, Nanako and Seikou. Akane and Seikou were hired from different start-up companies and became the best of the company, before it couldn't keep up with the competition. They would often go visit Matsuzaki and the girls. Seikou decided he would try to be hired by a more well known company, Nomura Civil Security Corporation.
