Caits I recommend making an update to the first post on the guide book
Changing the known characters part
"Ha! Something like that doesn't apply to real darts though, not that I play. I just threw it in a way that was more comfortable, especially for throwing multiple projectiles. Anyway, it won't really help me much with my fighting style. If anything, I need to improve my reaction time. I haven't had any way to improve that yet. I'm not really being attacked in blind spots to react to, or anything that has any fast attacks yet." Umichi told Suki, how he pretty much wanted to be able to move faster. "Armor just feels too clunky and restrictive. I like my free movement, so I need to be able to avoid or guard with my weapon. *Sigh* There's no way for me to improve at the moment. I still feel like I am not fast enough." He continued, starting to look a bit distant. All he could think about at that moment was, Unless I react fast enough, I won't be able to protect them. Protect the lives around me. Even if this strength isn't real, I need to be able to use it.

Not long after, Lina came with the food, for the two of them. "Thanks for your order. Please enjoy the food." Lina said walking away. Snapping out of his distant look, Umichi spoke, "It looks good. We should eat. Itadakimasu." Gesturing to the food. Soon after he got a spoon and started to eat the broth. It looked like a herbal stew, however, tasted a little like beef patties instead. As always, food confused Umichi in this world, none the less it tasted good. Scooping some with the spoon, he started to give it to Suki. "Here, you should try some too. Ahhh" He suggested for Suki to open up and say ahh.
I got a post in while at Uni during a break, not sure if it went through though

Anyway time for the next class
Being praised by Suki, Umichi was happy. When she mentioned he was good at everything, he solemnly shook his head. "Nah, there's only so much I can do. I am not good at everything, and not everything I do." He closed his eyes for a short moment, before looking back at Suki with a smile. "See anything you would like?" he asked her, taking a look at the menu. Deciding very quickly that he would try the specialty food, Faithful Broth. He waited for Suki to decide before asking Lina to come over.

"Hey Lina, could you get our order?"
"Why, of course, Umichi!"
"I would like to get the special, Faithful Broth, and Suki here would like ..." He paused, letting Suki tell Lina what she wanted.
"Okay, your meal will be here in about 15 minutes, please wait."
Lina smiled and walked away.

"It's a good thing there was nothing about how to throw the darts. That would of just made things annoying." Umichi spoke, only stating that his throw was not a normal dart throw, to Suki, turning back to her. "Anyway, did you enjoy watching the competition? Should we see if there are other ones around?" He asked Suki.

got it, and from what I understood the three skills you mentioned share a common cooldown right?

Yes, but it should be a relatively short cool down for these basic skills and short post-motion

Well, to add to the variety at the start, I would say at least three.

I can actually help with that. In SAO, most advice, such as new quests, skill prerequisites and rumors, are found through Information Brokers. It was one of my favorite aspects when I watched, the idea that someone can make it through a game just by knowing things, rather than grinding for hours. I assume that the information brokers gather their information by talking with players, NPCs, and checking bulletin boards, so once a player unlocks a skill they can sell the information to a Broker, who will then sell it to someone else.

I thought it was something along those lines, but could not be sure. Thanks for that chukkle

Edited skill learning out of my post...hope its finally ok
Light feel free to hit me up if you need more team mates for the quest

Thanks for editing it. Just one more minor thing really. You don't need to equip <<Slant>>, what you equip is <<One-handed straight sword>> so that you can use <<Slant>>, <<Vertical>>, etc.

+11 or something

That's only during day light savings for Vic, NSW and Tas

Well, that's my morning post (OOC) after waking up
And now it's time for uni! So yeah, I'll be posting up later
I meant everyone else
The skills don't appear like you are saying in your post
That is not how the system of SAO works
It is more important you change this skill stuff
Other than that the post is fine

You start off with at least three sword skills with each weapon skill equipped.
With one-handed straight sword, you get, <<Vertical>>, <<Horizontal>> and <<Slant>>.
We haven't found any canon claw sword skills so will probably need to make some.

Anyway,
I am going to sleep now
Night guys
Nothing seems to be happening T.T
I think his editing his post
So will see it afterwards

Anyway, yeah, the way skills are appearing for you are more like they would in the manhwa 'The Gamer'
SAO skills earned from leveling abilities, I have no clue how they work, but you wouldn't be getting them so suddenly like that. There are a set of default ones skills and associated sub skills (sword skills) with each skill. As you level the skill more of those get unlocked, but skill leveling takes time. We have not made a system for skill leveling yet though.

Edit:
i am thinking level 5
Um... <<Slant>> Is a skill that doesn't utilise a skill slot
The skill slot utilised would be <<One handed straight sword>>
So that you can use different sword skills. It wouldn't make sense to have to equip all of those sword skills.
Kirito had more than 12 sword skills available, and could use them all. He had 12 skill slots at level 96. Doesn't make sense. Sword skills are like a skill subset.

And I am unsure if there is a way to check which sword skills you have technically unlocked or can use. I am unaware how that works, if they simply activate it and realise or if there is a list or something with requirements to unlock

Edit:
You don't learn most skills just like that. Some skills are available by default and require to be equipped in the skill slots to be used. Others require to be unlocked, by quests or other special means.
