So, there's this rabbit outside my house, and I'm not sure what to do with it. It sits there sometimes, eating grass and staring into space. It isn't mine, though, so it runs off when we approach.

Name: Zernebog (call him pengu)

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Race: Half-Penguin

Appearance: Zernebog is half penguin. He has a suit and a tie on his body and wears black gloves, but his head is undoubtedly a penguin. He's fairly tall, 6 foot, 2 inches and is thin.

Personality: Somewhat level headed, usually calm. Likes fish. Sometimes tries to break the ice and fails because he's usually serious.

Brief Backstory: One day, a penguin, starving, cold. Walking along the ice, looking for food. But what food would there be in the cold wasteland? The lone penguin walked the wastes. Walking, and walking, and walking. As the penguin walked, he came across corpses of his brethren, exiled, like him. As he walked past the long dead skeletons of his friends and family, he realised something. He realised that all things must come to an end, that all things die. Like the titanic ice caps adorning his ancestral home, melting into small glaciers over the centuries. He received a stunning revelation in his darkest hour. And then he died. All things must end, and his life was no exception. Or, it shouldn't have been. One day, the penguin woke up, a man. And he was a god. His revelation had ascended his mortal form and he became a man with a penguin head. A minor god. And, now unaffected by the freezing winds and in no need of sustenance, the penguin man began his journey to find out how exactly he came to be a god.

Abilities: He's naturally resistant to cold and normal cold weather conditions and natural blizzards don't bother him. He's stopped being able to digest so he doesn't eat and he doesn't need to. That said, he's susceptible to heat. He can manipulate ice and create it to a certain degree, mainly using his cleverness with his ice powers to fight. He has relatively minor entropic powers and can speed up the process of decomposition. It takes a while, though. He can also reverse entropy to a degree, but that usually brings on unintended results.

Equip:
Chaos blade
The chaos blade is a blade made out of pure entropic energy which is capable of cutting apart most things using entropy. Eventually, if Zernebog becomes more powerful, it will be able to annihilate anything made of matter. Maybe. It takes the form of a light-saber like blade and has a 10% chance of not activating when he tries to activate it.

Suit
The suit is like a regular black suit with a white dress shirt and doesn't provide any defence benefits. However, any damage dealt to it will disappear slowly, including stains. The same cannot be said for pengu himself, as the suit provides no defence benefits. Pengu can't take off the suit and no one knows what's under it. Not even him.

Lucky Fish
A fish given to him by his sister when they parted ways back when he was a mortal penguin. Doesn't do anything, but it doesn't rot either. You can eat it, though it doesn't do anything.

Miracles:
Icy Entropy
A single target slowly freezes, loses health and becomes slower as they are affected by this miracle. Eventually, the target will freeze completely (5 minutes) and the frozen person will slowly grind away into nothing (1 hour). Pengu can affect more targets as he gains more power and the entropic power goes against all odds and is not affected by weather conditions. Heat applied to the target will slow the effect. If the target is set on fire, the effect is negated. If the person is unfrozen during the disintegration period, they suffer no loss of limbs as long as the disintegration hasn't consumed 50% of their boy mass. Duration: 1 hour.

Fish summon
When this miracle is used on a patch of water, that patch of water grows abundant with fish. The area of effect gets larger as pengu gains more power. However, there is a 10% chance that the fish will die and rot extremely quickly once the duration of the miracle is over. Duration: 30 minutes.

Domains: Ice, Entropy
I want to try this, this sounds pretty good. Can I book a god of entropy?
So, with all the sweepers gone, there are technically supposed to be a ton of PKers like, everywhere, right? It must be one hell of a bad time for noobs right now.
Hey, maybe this is like the Matrix where everyone could become Mr. Smith, but instead of Mr. Smith, it was sweepers.
While Albus had done his fair share of investigating in the night, he hadn't come up with anything conclusive. Why? Because there wasn't anything conclusive about the case. The player Corpse Collector was a fairly standard player to begin with. Pretty much non-noteworthy and would have, in most likelihood, remained so, if not for the commotion she caused in Deep Ground a month ago. That is, she emerged into notoriety when it was revealed that she was hacking Deep Ground. But even those details were sketchy.

Albus did some digging and found that shortly after the Black King, Moon Rider, announced the opening of the Ebony Strykers, a wave of dissolutions spawned in several guild halls for no discernible reason, and then the Deep Ground program was crashed. That's to say, it was taken down momentarily. The fact was, the only reason Corpse Collector gained her infamy was the fact that the Black King wanted her out of Deep Ground for good. Albus dug deep to find that information, a relatively minor forum mention was all that covered it. And apparently, the Corpse Collector was taken down during the down time, when the Deep Ground program was put down for a day for maintenance. Which, in itself, was suspicious. The DGP was allegedly down for a day, uncommon as it was. The events that followed, however, were far more intriguing. Specifically, the capture of Corpse Collector and the deaths of the 4 kings.

One thing to note was that Corpse Collector, who was arrested on the grounds of 'abusing system programs', all but disappeared from the public eye. While this wasn't exactly strange, there were no records of her interrogation (assuming there was one) or records of conviction (assuming she was actually arrested). Albus had even checked hospital records in case she was in a coma, but nothing. Absolutely nothing could be found. Another thing to note was the deaths of the 4 kings.

Albus wanted to look at the autopsy records for the teenagers who'd served as the Kings to find that they weren't there, or at least, hidden extremely well. Albus couldn't figure out the reason why. There shouldn't be anything to hide concerning the death of the 4 kings, it should be simple to find the cause of death. But it just wasn't there, which he found suspicious. But Albus could at least conclude that their deaths, the Corpse Collector incident and the Masked Man, were linked. Or at least, Silver Jester knew about both of them.

When Albus woke, he found a message from Silver Jester, the Masked Man he'd met yesterday in deep ground, addressed, it appeared, to everyone. One look made Albus sigh in annoyance. The Masked Man was trying to pin the identity of the Black King onto a boy called Michael Faye, which was stupid. Moon Rider was definitely a girl and Albus knew of Michael. He was definitely a guy. But what made Albus annoyed was the fact that the Masked Man was trying to pin the murders on the Black King, essentially pinning the blame on Michael who was most likely innocent. And why did this annoy Albus? Well, where do the reasons end?

First of all, it was rather annoying when people talked vehemently about things they had no idea about. It was even worse, however, when people intentionally say things they don't believe to mislead others into making rash judgements. Secondly, Silver Jester painted himself as a comrade, a person willing to fight for 'justice' alongside like-minded 'warriors', intending to break the tyrannical rule of a guilty King. Thirdly, the blatant lie about Moon Rider Causing the deaths of the kings. This part was impossible. The DGP had many fail-safes in place to ensure that no lasting physical or psychological harm would be done to the users. Also, Moon Rider couldn't have possibly killed all of the kings, in one night, especially when the program was allegedly 'down' for the day, no matter how strong she was. Assuming she was alone, at least. Albus could see the lies weaved through grains of truth, obscured by the fog of confusion. It was propaganda, pure and simple. Albus could see this much, Silver Jester was trying to make people turn on Moon Rider. But Albus wasn't sure why he was pushing the blame onto Michael, an innocent party. It annoyed him because the Masked Man had all the answers, and he didn't have any. He felt like he was being played, and that annoyed him.

Albus walked down the halls towards his classroom. He would've liked to stay in his dorm and research some more, but he had appearances to keep. In Purple Crown academy, you could spend all day on the DGP, or you could spend time in classes. Albus did both, while appearing only to do one. On the surface, he was a model student. And while many people knew he played Deep Ground, no one knew his avatar's identity. Albus needed to keep up appearances, after all. He smiled at the ridiculous thought. With the things going on around him, keeping his façade probably wasn't his number 1 priority. But he did it anyway. Appearances need to be kept.

Yes....yes...yes! It's all going according to plan....

Does that include Taro being in a box with a cat in it?
It's true. T'is food pornography
Taro was having a bad day again, and he wasn't even in Deep Ground this time. He was in a box. With a cat (which wasn’t actually that bad). And, he was hiding from a bunch of guys he'd managed to piss off on his way to class.

Earlier, he was walking to class. The last night, princess rainbow hadn’t showed up and he went to sleep without incident. In the morning, he saw the message that everyone apparently received from the 'Silver Jester.' Truth be told, he didn't know what to think of the message. He didn't even know who Michael Faye was, or what he looked like, and he didn't even know that Moon Rider was the name of the Black king. He also didn’t know who Silver Jester was, so he'd decided to stay out of DGO, for a little while at least. And he always made it a point to go to classes.

Unfortunately, just as he was heading out of his dormitory, he saw a group of boys talking amongst themselves. This wasn't an irregular occurrence, but Taro heard the words 'black king' and was intrigued. He decided to spy on them. There were 3 of them, in a group, and looked like troublemakers, people Taro usually avoided. And they were discussing the message they received in the morning.
‘Michael is the Black King?’ One of them said to another.
‘Nah, the Black King’s avatar is a girl, isn’t it?’ He said.
‘Maybe Michael is actually a girl, in disguise.’ The third said.
‘Dude, that’s stupid.’ The first said.
‘But it makes sense, right?’ The second one said.
‘Hell no.’ The first one said.
‘Still, we should do something about it.’ The third said.
‘Huh? Why?’ The second one asked.
‘We’re cobalt Bruisers right? And if Michael is actually the Moon Rider, we need to do something about it, right?’ The third one said.
‘Hey, that’s actually smart.’ The first one said.
‘Let’s go pay him a visit.’ The third one said, grinning.

Taro didn’t know why, but he couldn’t sit there and do nothing. He didn’t even know Michael, but he didn’t want to sit there either. And against his better judgement, he picked up a rock, got up from the bush he was in, and threw it in the third guy’s face. It landed squarely on his forehead and left a sizeable mark.

‘OW!’ The third guy yelled.
‘Hey!’ The second one yelled, turning towards Taro.
Taro’s momentary bravado gone, he turned around and ran away. And of course, the 3 guys ran after him.

Taro dashed away from the dorms, unfortunately heading towards the oval where there were no hiding spots. The people he’d accidentally pissed off chased him, trying to run him down (probably). He’d picked a really bad spot to run to as there were no hiding spots. Fortunately, he was running in the direction of what looked like an old gymnasium, what Taro didn’t know was the old gym. He sprinted towards it and arrived soon, random dudes at his heels.
‘Hey! Get back here!’ The guys said, as Taro ran around the building.
He needed to lose them somehow. Run around the building then get inside, maybe fooling them. He dashed into the entrance and leaned against a wall. He could hear them running around outside.
‘Where is he?!’ One of them asked.
Taro grinned. Now, all he had to do was wait. Or, that would have been the case, if the cat wasn’t there.
‘Meow.’ The cat said.
Taro looked at it. It’d come from the shadows, a small white cat he couldn’t have missed. It was adorable. And it had also alerted the guys outside.
‘What was that?!’ One of them said.
Desperately, Taro looked around for a hiding place. There! A pile of boxes in the corner. As quickly and quietly as possible, Taro scooped the cat up, ran to the corner and jumped into a fairly large box. He closed the lid behind him. Just in time, the 3 bruisers burst into the gym. They searched for Taro or the source of the noise as Taro sweated it out in the box. The cat was wriggling in his hands, trying to free itself. Taro’s grip slipped and the cat stood on his chest, poking its head from outside the box.
‘Meow.’ It said, greeting the guys.
‘It’s just a cat.’ One of them said.
‘Scram!’ Another yelled at the cat.
The cat leapt back into the box and Taro grabbed it and tried to keep as quiet as he could.
‘He must be somewhere else.’ One of them said.
Taro almost breathed a sigh of relief as the 3 guys left. His legs were weak, and he couldn’t get up. The cat squirmed out of his relaxed grip and stared at Taro. Taro decided he would stay here a while, to calm his nerves. The cat, as if sensing his intentions, curled up on Taro’s chest. Yep, there was no way he could move now. Taro’s day began with Taro missing class, in a box, with a cat, hiding from some dudes he’d managed to piss off.
‘Good way to start the day, huh.’ Taro said to the cat.
‘Meow.’ The cat said, grooming its face and then falling asleep.
Hey, I just realised something. With Titan's grip, you can dual wield 2-handed weapons and with cadet, a brawler can wield 2-handed guns. Does that mean a brawler can dual wield Rocket launchers or something? That'd be awesome

For avatar abilities, it can be a little hard to think of because you're given a lot of freedom. It's pretty much anything goes, as long as it's balanced and suits your class/character. You should read other character sheets to get a feel for the skills, maybe.
