Indeed I want to use this event to build on character relationships, and how coordinated we are as a team.
That is a very small part. This arc is much more deep.
Yeah I too shall wait for the others to post before I do because we need all the time we need to get the Lightyear back online.

Seriously can I tell you guys whats going to happen or is it best if everyone find out? :)

Tell you what if you are interested in learning the details send me a pm.
I shouldve explained but only the intercoms are functional. The ships voice has its own generator and back up generator that can still function even when everything else dont. This is how we were alerted. Bits and pieces that need to be expanded on. I will more info to the OOC as time goes on.
Want me to tell you guys what will happen in this story arc?
This is an example of the consequences I mentioned. Maxwel had the choice to ignore the councils orders by going straight to Xan and instead check out the mysterious ship, or could choose to check out this mysterious vessel but also lose reputation points with Cadence, he chose neither. The consequences? The mysterious shipintercepted us instead shutting off the Lightyears...everything. If he chose to check it out, we wouldve caught the vessel by surprise instead and still have everything online. I know this is confusing and this example is a rough draft but these events will get better as the story goes on. But now since we need to board the ship and shut down whatever it is that is interrupting the Lightyears functions, we have a chance to uncover a dark secret in this universe. And we need to do this before the ship collides with the dark vessel so we are on a timed mission. Each post I make will include how much time we have left. If we dont complete it in time...role play over.
Incoming Event: The Dark Drifter

Cadence narrowed her eyes at Mirrah as she spoke, not really knowing what to expect from her. Was she above the order of the council? Who was she? She mentioned that she was here to keep an eye on her progress; the thought of her still being a prisoner crossed her mind. She didn’t realize that the same female Dreshykk who spoke to Maxwell was approaching her now with her clipboard in hand.

“Here to watch me, huh? As in, making sure I don’t slaughter my crew is that it?” Cadence shook her head. “Listen, I don’t care what the Council or the U.S. Military has told you but if they think they can just keep tabs on me even though I am innocent then they’re wrong. I don’t want you on my ship-“she said but was cut off by the Dreshykk.

“My apologies commander but there is something that I am concerned about. There is an anomaly that I would like to investi-“the Dreshykk was cut off as well as the lights around the entire ship went dark and a strange noise that sounded like a huge rusted oil rig came from the outside. It sounded like the screech of a giant monster. Cadence looked around then pointed a finger at Mirrah.

“This isn’t over yet.” She said as she rushed over to Cayne.

“Zarubin get the republic online now!” she demanded but then the voice of the ship itself spoke over the intercom at all crew members presently onboard.

“Warning! Warning! All communications are down” the voice said mentioning every issue one by one, “Laser cannons offline, shields offline, ship controls offline. “

She left Cayne and rushed to Maxwell.

“Can you get us a visual of the ship, Saturn?” she said as she walked over to the intercom button.

“Dyar, Johanson, Akame, Janos, get up here to the command deck, now! Bring your weapons!”
That is a good idea with helmets I'll have Cadence tell you when breathing helmets are necessary.
Lol @ FinDragon

Alright I would like some feedback from you guys if there is anything about the role play you think we need to change?

Also, I will offer a few things to crew members that will have consequences if you choose not to do them. First example of this is my latest post where a female dreshykk wants to uncover an anomaly she found and asked Maxwel (our pilot) to travel to the point. If he doesnt something bad could happen later. If he does he would probably lose reputation points with Cadence.

Keep an eye out for those moments because they will be subtle and will change the dyynamic of the story.
Echo sat there quietly awaiting their arrival at Xan when the ship's voice spoke over the intercom.

"You might want to get down to the shuttle bay , commander. It seems some of the team are not getting along."

Echo rubbed her temples realizing the chemistry and relationships between the team will need to be gradually built over time; but going to the lower decks was something she needed to do. When she got up she motioned toward the door then stopped when she noticed Mirrah leaning against the wall.

"Is there a reason why you are following me? I don't remember the council mentioning a Seer on this mission." She said, crossing her arms.

Meanwhile in the shuttle bay, a male human ship worker overheard Yamesh's comment about humans and approached him.

"Excuse me! Why are you criticizing her so harshly? You think we humans have it easy working with the likes of you? I'll just mention that comment to the commander. Maybe she'll shoot you down, alien!"

The man frowned at Yamesh.

On the command deck a female dreshykk approached Maxwel.

"Saturn...sorry to interrupt you but there is something I've found on my log report...It's...strange. There is an anomaly here at this point." She said pointing her index finger down on a clipboard. Can you determine what it might be? I know its going off course and I dont want you to get in trouble with the commander but it could be important." She said and smiled.
