Eve started to run now, her hair was a lost cause that she had given up on. Her curls were now slick with rain, her eyes squinted into the pounding rain. Her body was already beginning to tire. The rain and wind began soon after, she squealed once when a bolt of lightening only a few feet away pounded the ground, it shook and frightened her.

She instantly began regreting not taking the offer for a car now, her brothers saw her as a charity case and had nothing but greed for her suffering. Once when she had needed to borrow money, her brothers had laughed at her, they gave it too her but at a cost. They had made her watch their awful pets, one had been a small chiwaha. It had torn apart her barely new sofa. They of course paid her enough to buy a sofa but it had cut into her money for the bills that month. Shaking off her sudden surge of anger she stopped, a shape. No a figure, with wings?! Eve felt her heart drop, "what the-" A flash of lightening suddenly illuminated the spot she had seen the figure a moment ago. The being was well over the average height of any human and towered over some of the saplings surrounding the area. Eve gasped, backing away slowly. The flash of lightening happened again, this time Eve saw its face, it was a male, the well defined features and its well muscled abdomen, his legs incased in a silk like fabric, hanging low on the creatures hips showing of surprisingly human like legs, but the feet were not, long talons protruding from its feet. Then, there in the flash of more lightening its eyes, they were the most amazing shade of green like emeralds. Then Eve put a hand to her mouth stifling a scream. It was staring and- at her! Eve backed away slowly, her movements becoming more static like. Her eyes never left the creatures. If she she ran, she knew he'd chase her and then he'd be ready, she looked around her, there weren't many choices but she knew that if she could just reach the hill, there was a small drop but she would land on a softer patch. She remembered the first time she had fallen there, it hurt for a bit but at this point she didn't have much of a chance to outrun this thing. She backed away, digging her feet into the dampened grass.

Taking in a deep breathe and without breaking eye contact, she turned abruptly twisting her body with her leg and made a run for the deeper part of the woods. Eve felt her feet slipping in the mud but she didn't care. Her legs pumped harder than they had ever done in her life. Her hair stuck to her face as she ran. 'Please, god please help me!' Her mind screamed as tears streamed down her face mixing with the rain.
She nodded, that made sense. Two common work related fields, it would play into her life well. No one would suspect too much. Gwen opened her mouth to speak but quickly quieted. Wait, my equations!? Wrong!?

Gwen huffed crossing her arms, her chest pushing up because of the force from her arms.

"Well I'll be, you real-" She stopped short when the door bell rung. Gwen sighed, "Its your que, Noah" She said with an eye roll.
She sighed, wait did he call her Eva? Wow, he must really be freaking out. Putting a hand to the mirrors surface, this time it didn't shift it stayed solid. Her heart jumped, "Oh...well then, suppose you should think of what you want most and it should work." She turned to look at him again. "Now the reason it is our problem is because you won't wake up until you've figured out how to get out...because I haven't read this entire book, and well...that is going to take awhile." She bit her lip, she'd lured this poor boy in here with her and now he's going to panic and she had no idea how to keep him calm.
The start of Eve's early morning hadn't been the best. Her eyes had dark circles and her awareness had dropped significantly since an hour ago. Working in a small bakery wasn't as much of a carefree job as she had imagined. Her recent move to the Carolinas hadn't been what she'd wanted either, but it was all she could afford now. After her mothers passing her brothers had made sure she received the butt end of the deal. They had convinced her mother that she was some sort of harlet and had wasted her time abroad. Thankfully her mother had enough sense to let her get her education first before kicking her out. Eve's mother did however, let her stay in her guest suite while she found a job. Sadly her mother had just begun to realize her daughter was none of what they said, but obviously it was too late because before this she had revised her will and had only given her a small home in the working class country side.

Eve didn't mind it so much but she got frequent visits from her way to proud brothers. They'd bring her gifts from her old home, the old pearl necklace her mother wore and her late fathers watch. Eve glanced at the watch now, her eyes heavy. It was almost time to go home now. Just a few more minutes.

Her heart was heavy with grief, her mothers Parisian villa they had lived in was sold for a cheap price because her brothers were bastard and had no real love for their ill mother. Letting out a sigh she turned the ovens off and took the fresh bread out, placing the loaves on wax paper and wrapped them neatly as if they were a boutique of flowers. Placing them in a brown paper bag she went out front and gave the last customer, Mrs. Stern her bread. Thanking Eve for staying open a bit later for their bread. "It was my pleasure Mrs. Stern" The elderly women waved goodbye to her. She smiled back, walking over to the door and locking it.

Pulling the sign to closed she pulled the windows blinds closed. Making her way to the back she began clean up.

After another hour Eve had finished the clean-up and was dead tired. With a yawn she pulled her coat on. Letting her tight bun down her dark hair tumbled past her shoulder and stopped at her elbow. "Ah, that's much better." Sliding her hand through the nappy curls a bit before she grabbed her purse. Looking at her hands she frowned, they had small bruises beginning to form on her cocoa colored skin. "Glad I don't want to ever hand model." She smiled a bit, looking outside she found the sky had darkened rather quickly. "Oh no!" She opened the window and sniffed the air, "Rain...damnit!" Grabbing her purse she went through the bakeries back door, locking it behind her and started her walk home. "If I walk faster maybe I'll beat the rain..."
Sadly her luck wore thin as Eve crossed the last street towards her home, the rain started slowly but got heavier. Squealing and pulling her coat to cover some of her hair she looked around, spotting her shortcut she ran for it. "Oh man! I just did my hair too." She grumbled, hastening her steps through the wooded area.
I will start the first post tomorrow sometime. :)
Gwen rolled over onto her stomach and stared at him from across the room. He seemed happier now and for some reason much more talkative.

"You took how long to what!?!" Gwen sighed, this poor soul he had so much time to spend locked away in that dark place that he had years carving into a mountain. What other things did he do? Gwen rolled her eyes at her inner thoughts. She had no reason to know him that well.

Was that sofa really that great? "Well then, hell really is a horrible place." She frowned, "So you want to exercise your brain , well you can once the package gets here, you'll only have a short time to remember your phone number and your other important information." Standing up she walked over towards him, her eyes met his as she sat down next to him, her hand on his now.

" So how did we meet Noah?" She smiled sweetly at him.
She thought a moment before shaking her head yes. "In the most logical sense yes, although I suggest you get to thinking about how to improve our situation in here, otherwise we'll stay inside this room and don't worry, we'll get back." In truth Evangeline didn't know for sure how they'd get back but this was not the time to tell him that.
Lol! Agreed. :)
"Alright don't panic just breathe ,okay?" Evangeline said in a soothing voice. "You're not dead, just a husk really, the form you have taken is apart of a dream, this is your dream now and you're apart of it. She pointed to his still breathing form, "See you're alive but in a dream like coma to anyone who will happen to stumble onto your body."
I've never actually thought about it that way, but thanks. I'll try to post more often. :)
