My mind is like yarn and squishy things and cute animals with a bunch of blood and skeletons over in the corner.

Bio

All right. Bio. Let's do this.

Started RPing when I was about 12. Since then, I've become exceptionally more literate. I like me some SciFi, some spooky horror, and any sort of Dystopian setting.

In the real world, I'm a moderately interesting person. I'm majoring in Microbiology and minoring in philosophy. I sew corsets, knit warm fuzzy things, and never have enough money to travel to the places I want to see.

I'm feeling like I can relate to that a little too well at the moment, Gonzo.

And on that note, I'll add this one:
You know you have an RP problem when you begin to take on the personality traits of your favourite characters.
Mmmm, I remember well the sound of dial-up against my little ears. I was just remembering the other day how amazingly unbelievable it was when internet came out that didn't need the phone-line to work.

Also, the A:TLA doesn't actually make me feel that old. Somehow, the fact that the year 2004 was a decade ago hits a hell of a lot harder.
Finally got my post up. XD

Ew, school dances. They suck beyond words in small towns. I make an effort to go, but the last one I attended was truly awful.
She'd made up her mind that she was going to ignore Deon's presence until he left, but that proved easier said than done. Even though she tried to block them out, his words carried easily into Vander's ears as he handed her one of the shots. She accepted it, holding it in a hand that shook slightly. She didn't believe for a second that the cops had been following James specifically. It had simply been coincidence. And a lucky coincidence at that. Another few minutes and he could have been hurt much worse.

"Help yourself baby, it's on me. And whatever else you want..."

She fixed him with a tired glare before tossing back the shot. Her expression shifted only the slightest bit as the liquor burned her throat. Vander was bitter towards Deon. That much was obvious. But she was also desperate. After a few seconds, she muttered a reluctant, "Thanks," and proceeded to take a second shot. She downed it, and waited for the cloudiness of alcohol to settle over her brain.

The offer to get her 'whatever else' she wanted had to include Lucid. Vander knew that Deon could tell she was a drug addict. Anyone in the club could tell. The only real mystery was what exactly her substance of choice was. She counted back quickly in her head. 26 hours. It had been over a full day since her last hit, and she was definitely feeling it. It was as though her insides were beginning to collapse in on themselves. Her head still pounded with a raging migraine, and the alcohol did little to help.

Vander turned to Deon, ready to make her request. There was no point in being subtle about it anymore. He would either give her a yes or a no. And if it was the latter, she would move on to someone else. She held her hand out in front of her, level, and let him see the tremor. "A serious lucid addict needs a hit at least every six hours to stay satisfied," she told him, automatically removing any and all emotion from her voice. It was like she was reciting a fact from a textbook. "I haven't had any since yesterday evening."

The request was out in the open now. She watched him, waiting for an answer.
I shall post...after eight hours of sleep. Saturdays are my busy day, and today was a pretty killer one.
You know you have an RP problem when you understand the underlying frustration contained in the sentence, "No, it's not THAT kind of Role play."

My face right now. ^_^

Jshsvsjadkfhs secrets! I look forward to the end result.
Ew. Just fixed all the typos. Thanks for pointing those out, I was about to go to sleep without proof reading.

As for merging the stories together....I dunno. I feel like opportunities will likely arise as we progress. The story is still pretty new. I'll give this more thought when I'm less exhausted.
Finish the sentence, ideally with examples that have actually happened to you. Saw one of these threads on another forum, and some of the results were pretty fantastic.

You know you have an RP Problem when...

Your original characters have conversations in your head.

You've approached a real-life situation by thinking "What would [my character] do?"

You've stayed up to an ungodly hour waiting for someone to post. Or, alternatively, have set your alarm for the middle of the night in order to check for new posts.
Bam, I succeeded at the dreaded mobile post. xD
