Still alive, kind of. The wifi hasn't been great to where I wanted it. Either this laptop is connecting and I make my posts tomorrow, or I'm going to the library to make some RP posts.

Again, sorry if I've been running slow...a whole other, months long RP was just shut down, nd that was kind of depressing.

Does foreigner count as a smell?

No, in all seriousness though, he keeps himself pretty clean, but he does still do his physical training routine so there's usually a sweaty tinge to him. Do I need something more specific?

EDIT: Actually sweat would be interesting, everyone kind of has their own sweat smell so like really the only time Haru would be able to find me is if I've been sweating up a storm. Like there'll be times where he's just like "the hell did he go?" then other times he'll be like "oh there he is..."

A lot of products tend to have a scent to them. Some people use wet wipes that smell like aloe vera, some people have deodorant that smells like baby powder (yeah, he has mistaken a person for a baby, once), some people wear flavored and scented lip gloss, some people just smell like sweat due to exercising, and others just smell lightly like flowers or dirt due to their hobby of gardening...everybody has a smell. It wouldn't be like this person became invisible if they took a long shower, more like they were reabsorbed into the mass of other people who are like scented due to their scent weakening. If they were in the same room and they put on a new perfume, they wouldn't have disappeared, but the scent change may make some association in his head reverse...take him more time to readjust.

Of course, this is just how I image these conditions to be, based on light/skimmed reading.

By rearranging those words into "destroyed soul....cute".Also Ursa, would you have a problem if I was the one who led you into class, it seemed pretty open ended so...

That's fine, does your character have a particular smell that can be recognised?

How could you punch such soul-destroying cuteness?

Very easily, 'cause Haru is blind to the cute and deaf to the pain-screams...
But doing such a thing would be out of character, so...
:P
Yay, posted...sorry if it's hella confusing, Haru is just getting to his homeroom and taking a seat. If you're wondering, the teacher was just telling Haru to sit at the back of the class.

By the way...trap powers are useless against Haruto, since he can hardly discern any one person's gender at all without heavily focusing on them in an almost creepy manner.
He'd have carelessly fallen asleep, and lost track of his roommate. It was sort of...his thing to follow the guy subtly, since they were of the same grade and had the same classes. But now, Haru had lost track of him. The present area was not as...noisy? Loud? It didn't seem like it was as crowded, but Haruto had made mistakes before. This was probably his cue to leave and find his homeroom...on his own this time. Getting up, meeting some resistance in the form of bumping a leg into another chair, he made his way out into the halls.

Though he couldn't make heads or tails of the exact features, and sounds made by 'them'...the combination of their individual movements, sound patterns, and then that...they were all human. Though he may have known this in his mind, his brain was slower to process. It was like trying to make head or tails of a highly pixelated image, that only becomes slightly less pixelated upon careful inspection. To see a person for who they are, to hear them speak...it would take a lot of time, and despite the nature of the school for students with disabilities, there wasn't enough time for him to make sense of things on his own time.

At times, it was like...he was the only person in the world.

Wandering a bit lost, obviously lost...it was only when he clenched his hand in worry that he realised that he had been holding something. Unclenching his hand and looking down at it, it took a moment to remember that it must have been his schedule on paper. When he had found it this morning, he had held onto it, careful not to let it go and lose it forever...he didn't even let it go when he had fallen asleep. Haru could only stare, and try and figure out what to look for. Was it folded? Were there words on it? Was he looking at the front or the back? What colour was it? Trying to get his head right around this single objects, he was lucky enough to catch the attention of one of 'them'.

This shape, a shape who must have been another person held out...before taking the object slowly from his hand, making a medium pitch sound that seemed to trail off...before taking his arm and leading him somewhere, handing him back his schedule. It was only a few minutes of so, he was sure, before he was brought to his classroom. Stepping in, and nodding at the one who led him to it, he turned to face back into the area. There was some silence, before low and measured sound from one area of the room. Instructor, maybe? It didn't hurt for him to just bow his head apologetically, the worst he could do was bow his head at the wrong person...or accidentally headbutt somebody, "I'm sorry for being so late, I got lost."

His apology was met with more low, measured sound, "----------- s ---- a -- t h -- b a - k --------"

Internally, he was scrambling to put together the possible things the 'instructor' had told him to do...but externally, he just gave a easygoing smile and nodded, before gazing out over the things he could discern. Likely other students, based on the smell. Watching slowly, he intentionally bumped the objects lightly in passing. The object did not give, and seemed heavier...an occupied chair, an occupied desk, another occupied desk and chair, and--*push*, what must have been an unoccupied seat and desk. Finally, he leaned down and pulled the two objects apart, before sitting on the flat of the smaller object (chair).

Facing 'forward' at the source of the low and measured voice, Haru wondered if his head would finally make some connections and allow some cues to figure out a face or two...and then, he couldn't help but stare out a nearby window. The features weren't discerned perfectly in his mind, but he recognised the bright light values coming in from them, the slight warmth of sun on his skin.

Satsuki is a rather depressing character most of the time. Oh, and I'm taking the dramatic approach to her condition, so if you were looking for well-constructed and extremely realistic interpretations of Prosopagnosia from somebody highly experienced in the field, you should look elsewhere.

Well...she only has one form of it, so she probably has less to worry about when it comes to mistaking a person with a coatrack...and/or vice versa. Haru feels isolated at times, due to agnosia+...

Prosopagnosia is not being able to recognise/identify faces, right?

I'm still waiting for my character to get accepted. Who did I interact with back in the oldguild KS roleplay? I think he had some face problem?

My dude had extensive facial prosthetics...the middles of his face was one gaping hole without them.

Satsuki Tori 17 Eleventh Prosopagnosia, Dyslexia. Satsuki isn't very social, mainly because she doesn't think she has anybody to talk to, this makes making friends a rather insurmountable task for her. She doesn't trust other people, and desperately fears losing those close to her. Because of this, she distances herself from others and doesn't actively engage in her own life. She drifts along meaninglessly, reacting to outside phenomenon only when forced, displaying a nearly constant image of expressionless disinterest. She hates being alone, but goes out of her way to escape others, unintentionally making her depression worse in the process. When she does become close to others, she treasures them dearly and becomes a quietly cheerful, mildly caring girl, although not one without their moments of extreme emotion. TBA Satsuki tends to zone out. . She really likes specific foods, a certain flavour of chips being at the top of her list. Shows very extreme changes in her personality at times, often in imitation of others.

Yay, agnosia buddies! That is, if they actually come to recognise each other.

"Why are mommy and daddy fighting?! Nooooo~!"

We can always just discuss what needs to be discussed, all while playing cute or playing nice...
So...all students of one grade in one class for homeroom, then students of similar disorders (blind students, students with physical disabilities, students with mental disorders...etc.) for other classes?
Haru usually identifies people nowadays by scent, his head linking the sounds-visuals-behaviors to their own individual body odors, or by the smell of their deodorant/perfume/shampoo...otherwise, communications is slow with him. He once mistaken a coatrack with a smelly coat and hat for one of his quieter instructors...

I feel like Haru is going to be a-o-k with all of y'all's characters...he may have a hard time recognising their faces, or their names, but they all seem like they all have their own observable behavior patterns that he might find funny/interesting/likeable.
