I've been using singularity doorways to travel thousands of miles without crossing the intervening space, collecting parts for my time machine so I can go back in time and stop the holy grail from being stolen.

I remember that happening last time. You tried to prevent it from being stolen, and ended up dropping it...breaking it to several fragments. After sweeping the pieces under the rug, you told everybody it got stolen...and then time continued on like it had before.
The time before that, you were the thief who would have originally stolen it!
