“All right, thanks man,” said a concerned Jeffrey to a younger-looking adult behind a counter full of patrons. “Remember, just ask Katsura-san for help if you need it, ok?” He slid a strong, lean hand through his well-cropped bad boy hair style, which amusingly contrasted his calm and gentle expression. The eyes of the lady customers around him were captivated by his sculptured physique, his charmingly rugged face, and cloudy gray eyes; in addition, his bartender uniform enhanced his overall debonair flair: a dark, sleeveless blazer, white, long-sleeved polo shirt with a bow tie in the middle, black slacks, and well-polished brown shoes. He turned, waved behind him in a silent wish of luck, and threw his silky onyx coat from a chair onto his shoulders. A graying, middle-aged man in a green dress shirt and brown pants called out to Jeffrey out of a room right next to the wine racks. His thick, layered neck, protruding stomach, and handlebar mustache marked him apart from the other gentlemen inside. “I just wanted to thank you for coming in for at least an hour showing Hiiro the ropes,” he said with much gratitude. “I know you got a second job and all, and I really appreciate it. I got a stack of paperwork to do for inventory, and I can’t just leave it alone, you know?” The man wiped around his neck and underneath his folds with a checkered handkerchief, despite the air conditioned room. Jeffrey simply smiled and shook his head, warding off his extended gratefulness. “It’s nothing at all, boss. I had time to spare,” was all he said, and he quickly clicked his heels around and turned for the door in a laid-back yet confident swagger.

The young man then quickly broke into a jog upon a quick glance at the sky, which reflected the silvered hue of his eyes. He tossed his arms into his jacket to protect himself from the humid chilliness, and began making his way down the pedestrians’ lane, opposite the traffic and the crowd. Thoughts of the detective agency swirled in his mind: when he came into the office, it was the first time he ever experienced the valid reality of magic and the supernatural; when he closed his eyes, he could still imagine the encounter vividly: Toshiko wriggled about her cigarette in strange, captivating motions, and then… Fire. It just appeared out of nowhere, and it startled him. He was skeptical at first, thinking it was a simple sleight of hand, a cleverly disguised magic trick. When she demonstrated her powers through more FLASHY means, he fell silent and did not question it a third time; her rising temper was enough for that first meeting. Thankfully, however, she was patient enough to answer his questions about the extraordinary: how magic is used, the heredity of magic, the creatures that live in the world of the supernatural, and many others. It didn’t hurt that she was a fine looking woman too. I think I’ll get some grub for us; everyone else must be pretty hungry.. he thought to himself, remembering the phone call from Fu Sonzai no Gensō requesting his, and most likely the other detectives’, presence. Breaking into a sprint, Jeffrey rushed himself into the nearest sushi shop and bought two trays for everyone to eat. The owner offered a helping hand, but he refused, stating that he was in a hurry, and scurried off to the agency with the rolls sitting comfortably in brown paper bags, leaving on a rather mysterious but intriguing note.

Placing the bags onto the doorsteps of the office, he rapped his knuckles three times against the wooden door rapidly. To be honest with himself, he was quite excited to actually see and meet his fellow detectives, but at the same time, he was dreadfully careful to observe their abilities, personalities, limits, and potentials. Gotta know my enemies and friends fast if I wanna succeed , he thought with a rather devilish smile. The door suddenly opened for him, and his expression changed to that of pleasant surprise. “Hey Toshiko-san, hey everyone. Sorry I’m a little late.. I decided I wanted to bring some refreshments, in case anyone was feeling famished,” Jeffrey said with a somewhat shy, charming grin.
We don't have a posting order right?
Awesome.
No worries! Enjoy your dog sitting!
WOO FINALLY POSTED GUYS

HEHEHEH it took me so long *drops to the floor, brain fried*
Yuki allowed the ambient entirety of the sea, with its refreshing winds, cold, frothy waves, and warm sunlight, to engulf her. She felt completely alive in nature’s beautiful island sculpture, and reveled in every energizing moment, taking in a deep breath of air as the water sprayed her every so often with sun-kissed ocean. She opened her eyes and saw the large blotch of land up ahead, and became very excited to finally see whatever lived, breathed or crawled out there. She took out her hand-dandy sensations notebook, and decided to record a summary of her current feelings:

“08/09/2014
-Air smells FANTASTIC here, it’s cool and windy, and everything just feels wonderful. Mako Island is a ways away, but the atmosphere of the sea is just breathtaking. I should probably stop looking at internet pictures of the sea, and actually GO OUT and experience it more for myself. So much prettier here.”

Yuki looked over her shoulder to the three other girls on the shore: the first one, Nixie, was a fascinating blond who streaked her hair teal and was accommodating enough to let them use her friends’ boat to take their trip to Mako Island. She didn’t know much about her other than the fact that she too, lived here since the day she was born. She noted the way she led the group about, taking charge and generally breaking the ice for the girls. She did not say so out loud, but Yuki appreciated her efforts, as the other two might not be as comfortable as she with practical strangers. "Sorry I'm late. My brothers decided that they didn't want me to go out tonight and dad had to put them back in their place,” said Tristan, the newbie in town with earth colored hair. Yuki smiled slightly and nodded acknowledgment. “No worries,” she simply said, then hopped onto the boat, eager to make her trip. She didn’t care much for the class and their experiments; she was here for the experience, the fun, the excitement of going out and setting sail in the ocean under full blown moon light. Today, she sported a light blue shirt with navy blue long sleeves, gray denim half pants that reached slightly past her knees, white Nike running shoes with its black trademark streaked across its body, and a black and dark green backpack containing her class binder for note taking and the lab sheets. She watched Nixie randomly wave to a cute dolphin out on the open waters, and smiled as the sweet animal shook its flippers back. She decided to sit down on one of the boat benches, and flipped open her little book again:

“-Saw an actual wild dolphin for myself. I thought it was cute. I hope to see many more awesome things on here. I should probably expose myself more other than skateboarding and video games.”

She looked up to Nixie motioning everyone to go before it gets dark, and watched the other girls take their seats on distant sides of the boat. She sensed the awkwardness in the air, but didn’t pay any heed to it. She turned around and bent over the boat to see the magnificent rainbow spectrum of fish darting about in the crystal clear waters. There were yellow fish with black and white strips, fish the color of rust with silver linings on the fins, small sand colored sharks, and terrific corals with varied shades and structures. “Wow”, she exclaimed under her breath, and silently observed with much fascination the thriving ecosystem just below her. She swung her pack in front of her and quickly opened one of the pockets to reveal a brown, whole wheat sandwich wrapped in plastic chock with spinach, tomatoes, grilled onions and a savory, juicy beef patty right in the middle. She scraped off a few crumbs and dropped them into the ocean for the precious fish to eat. Yuki hoped they enjoyed her small contribution for their continuous cycle of life.

"So, uh... Look, I'm really sorry about you and the others having to be stuck with me and all; I'll try not to drag the group down..." Tristan suddenly piped, the new girl with the sad but pretty face. "I promise I'll push myself into studying so that I can do my part as best as I can..." Yuki shot her a friendly glance, trying to ease her out of her nervousness and to reassure her that she’ll be fine. It’s not like this place is super advanced or anything.. She thought silently to herself as she momentarily remembered her boredom with school. Since there were no AP or Honors classes, Yuki was stuck in the regular classes that didn’t really challenge nor test her abilities. She never really listens in class, and instead, always opts to play her Nintendo DS in the corner of the room, or quietly pass messages between herself and a desk mate. She usually aces the tests, but can’t be bothered to do homework, so as a result, she usually only passes with a C, when she could be getting straight As and a good chance at college. Yuki didn’t know what she wanted to do in life, nor was she actively thinking about it; it’s not something that she exactly liked dwelling on, and when someone asks her about it, she usually just shrugs them off. To get her mind off of her academics and future career, she opens her notebook again to write down some things she’s noticed about two out of her three class partners:

“-Nixie seems to be the leader type, taking charge and organizing and harmonizing people, even if she may not know it. Seems nice enough, and definitely knows these parts more than I do. I may need to speak to her about exploring more aquatic life.

-Tristan seems to need a self-esteem boost. I know she’s new, but I don’t think she’ll hold us down with a little help. Don’t know much about her, so might talk to her sometime.”

"Good, just in time! It's getting dark. We are not the world's best planners”, Nixie said as the group slowly neared the island. Yuki’s eyes widened as she beheld the magnificence of the secluded body under full moon light. Her excitement grew exponentially, and she was already gearing up to head down, when she heard the engine down below sputter and cough. Her eagerness instantly died, and she looked from one girl to the next with a worried expression on her face. Trist quickly broke into the hatch and mumbled something about broken parts and repairs. Yuki and the other girl didn’t exactly know how they could be of use; still, she attempted to shoot a clueless, friendly glance out to the other, in an attempt at mutual connection. Her eyes suddenly fell upon the life boat, and this alone got her a’moving. She threw the life jackets stationed in a mini-shelf onto the little boat, and turned to hear Nixie suggest to paddle the way forward. She took one of the paddles the blonde girl held out, and lowered the boat down…

Several moments later, they found themselves climbing the rocks to find a better signal for their cellphones. Yuki didn’t find the rock climbing all too difficult, but she was worried that her sneakers might slip off, given that the flat of her shoes wasn’t enough to really put traction between her and the stones; still, it was better than the flip flops the others wore. Raising her Samsung Galaxy S4 over her head, a small bit of disappointment came to her as she also had only one bar just like the rest of her group. She glanced around her surroundings, and noticed the activity of wild life on this untouched, isolated island: the eerily grinning crocodiles, the alluring light of the fireflies, the crickets and frogs that played their evening tune. The brilliant, star filled night sky, the wonderful sounds and the soft glow of the fireflies made everything seem like a high class private concert. She quietly thanked nature for her music, and pulled herself forward happily, until her classmates suddenly started disappearing one by one into a tunnel. With the reflexes of a house lizard, she dived towards them, hoping to catch them by the arm or wrist, but she was too late, and ended up sliding straight into the dirt hole herself. The darkness and her body spiraling down towards some unknown made her very anxious and dizzy, until she finally tumbled into a long forgotten cave.

A sharp pang of pain around her shoulders dominated her senses for a moment, until she opened her eyes and saw the grandeur beneath the volcano: blue crystals with soft, gentle lights hummed all across the walls with their beauty, and as the main center piece, a shining, turquoise-like pool that sat in the middle and charmed in moonlight from the opening of the volcano. Yuki gasped slightly, as she has never seen anything more breathtaking in her life; even the other girls found the whole scenery just as amazing. She quickly stood up and wandered around the earthy room, touching the crystals here and there, taking in the overload of magnificence over her. She was so stricken that for the entire duration that she would be there, she forgot to write her thoughts and sensations in her notebook.

Suddenly, as if the pool of jade and sapphire bound her to its will, she slowly walked towards the water and dipped her entire body inside; surprisingly, the liquid was cool to the touch and felt like bliss against her lightly tanned skin. Without warning, she plunged herself deep into the pool, and came out thoroughly soaked, her clothes stuck hard to her body, accentuating her lean, slender muscles. The moonlight that filtered into the mouth of the volcano highlighted the golden tone of her skin, and the dripping water from her hair plastered her bangs against her forehead. She flipped her hair sideways once, twice, showing off the black, silky strands, then looked back to her classmates and smiled sheepishly, with some slight embarrassment. “Well, I don’t know how I got into this, but you guys should come in. It’s nice and cool,” Yuki said invitingly.
Oh god it's taking me so long to make my intro post. But do know that I AM working on it, and probably about half way done.
Can I msg you my character sheet if he doesn't appear?
Name: Yuki Amatsume

Age: 16

Picture:
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 135 lbs.
Yuki likes to wear dangling red diamond earrings, light mascara, and a soft hued lipstick that blends in almost effortlessly to her lilac pink lips.

Tail:
Her tail is of a deep ocean color and gets darker as it reaches down to her fins.

Outfits:

Yuki likes blazers a lot, whether they be short or long. She thinks they fit her androgynous look very well.

Power: Ice/Freeze powers

Personality: Yuki is the type of person who is simply content in going with the flow. She is not particularly ambitious or passionate about anything, nor does she go out of her way to make friends, so she comes off as a pretty aloof individual. That’s not to say she shrugs off any invitation of any kind of relationship; in fact, she does like having people to hang around. However, she is just as comfortable being by herself as she is with others. She has this easy-going way of living life, thinking “Whatever will come, will come. I can handle it.” Because of this flexible outlook on life, Yuki simply tends to make suggestions to her loved ones in terms of advice: she can clarify her meaning, but only they can decide what to do with her input.

She likes to lie back and observe her surroundings, as she tends to find everything and everyone interesting in their own ways, big or small. Because of this, she takes on problems with a more tactical and multi-angular approach, and paired with her natural brightness of mind and quick learning, she gets things done rather efficiently and swiftly. She takes quite a bit of pride in her mental capabilities, and gets especially annoyed when people insult her intelligence.

Yuki likes to surround herself with soft ambiance and natural landscapes, with Mako Island being the perfect place for that. She also appreciates the hustle and bustle and the invisible disconnects in cities that exist amongst the people. She likes to take all of the atmosphere of a particular place she’s liked, and jot it down in both memory, spirit, and in writing. She likes to live not only in the present, when all the sensations are alive and very real, but also in the past and future; she does not take these little moments for granted, much to the appreciation of those around her.

When Yuki is angered or sad, she tends to be non-confrontational; she usually deals with these situations alone, trying to use her analytical skills to get past problems. She does not like relying on others to solve her issues, and as a result, she constantly overlooks the emotional aspect of an obstacle when it comes to herself; she rarely vents or talks to anyone about her feelings, as constantly suppressing them makes it hard for her to talk about them.

She treats acquaintances with a friendly, laid-back attitude: she greets them with a small, curved smile and a basic greeting, along with a couple of small finger touches to the shoulder or arm, and a few questions about their everyday life, nothing really major. For friends she’s more comfortable with, she starts opening up her mind more, asking them slightly deeper, more personal questions, stuff about their family, what do they think they’re going to do with their life, she tends to value their opinions more, she inquires about interests, she asks about beliefs, and she gives them fuller touches on the shoulder, arm, or even cheek if they allow it.

Bio: Yuki’s parents, Soujiro and Ueno Amatsume, decided to move from Japan to Aulani Island because they greatly disliked Japan’s overtly rigid and unforgiving business disciplines. They wanted a more easy-going, but still highly successful mini drink shop, with plans of expanding, without the constraints of excessive papers and picky, anal investors. With a bit of their own credit saved up and hearts full of hopes and dreams, they left Japan for a remote island where they could be more liberal with the way they spend their asset money, and to hopefully find some more generous investors. Yuki was born on the tenth day of January, the middle month of winter, followed by her brother, Akahito, three years later during the third of March.

Soujiro was a huge hulk of a Japanese man standing at 6’3” with well-toned muscles and a wall build, but the wrinkels along his forehead and the graying of his hair and beard showed his age. Intimidation constantly paints his face, the angles hard set rigid and the eyes unwavering in their seriousness. Despite his cold, astute stare, he is a calm, warm, loving father, but will not hesitate to intervene with a quick vice grip to the shoulder, arm or wrist if the kids or customers get a little too frisky for their own good. Her mother, Ueno, is a firestorm of a woman: passionate, headstrong, and daring. She thought of the whole drink business to begin with. “People aren’t hungry all the time, but they sure will want to suck on something no matter the time, weather, or place”, she said with a wink to a young Yuki and Akahito. She possesses the charisma and business sense to start and end successfully, but she often can get a little too hot-headed, and that’s where her husband comes in. He cools her down, and makes her think rationally so that she doesn’t claw herself into a rut due to the stress. They make a pretty good pair, both in money and in family.

Writing sample: (This was from a while back.. I don't really have recent writing samples, so this is the most interesting one I could find D:) A long line composed of both fidgeting boys and girls alike streamed from a certain somebody's desk to the bustling hallways. Murmurs and whispers were abound inside the classroom, as only a few of its inhabitants were inside at the moment, not wanting to disturb a certain someone's business. One look at the formation of the students, and immediately, anybody would know that it was that time of the day: a time where people who are in the pits when it came to love turned to their rope-flinging savior, 'The Matchmaker'.

"So... You like this girl, don't you?" Jillian Heartlace asked as she tapped a pencil on the wooden surface, quirking a somewhat doubtful eyebrow at the blushing boy in front of her, who nodded slowly in reply to her question. She slammed down both palms onto her desk, and yelled at him as a fire flared from behind her, "Then be a man, for Pete's sake! Look at you, cowering in fear before me at this moment, and I am just a stranger. What more if it's before that woman? I tell you my friend, if you don't pull yourself together, you're never gonna get a girl!" The boy was knocked aback from his chair, awed by her blazing spirit, then bowed down to her as he said, "Y-you're right. I should be more confident in myself!" A devilish snicker broke off from Jillian's lips, and she patted the boy's head as if to boost himself up. "Yep. Be more confident in yourself. Girls don't like men who have too low a self esteem." With that, her client stood up, thanked her graciously, and walked out of the line, in which a girl replaced his confessor situation.

Her friend, Sasha Hanadera, who always accompanied her during these endeavors, leaned over and remarked, "I thought you were 'The Matchmaker', not the 'Confidence Specialist'." Jillian held up a hand in front of Sasha's face, and retorted as she twirled a finger about, "Different methods are used for different people. Each of my clients have different personalities and needs, thus, I deploy different methods in order for them to confront their significant other." "My, my. She makes a good point, Sasha. Looks like you lose the argument again. Don't worry though; there's still another!" Her childhood friend, Felicity Brilliantes, piped up with her usual cheerful smile. "Aaww, shaddup. And when did this become a contest huh?" Jillian raised both her hands towards her friends, signaling them to shush, which they promptly did so.

When she took a good look at her current client, her eyes went wide as soon as she recognized who it was: Miss Lilian Lovette, a pretty girl with soft, golden hair and gentle blue eyes, who was both admired and scorned by many. What would she be doing in here? Jillian thought curiously to herself. With her looks and personality, she could snag any man right from anyone's nose, so what's the whole point of even coming to the ever famous 'Matchmaker'? Nevertheless, she was now dealing with a client, and whether she liked it or not, she had to listen to her whims and woes, even IF she is regarded as the biggest sl*t in the whole school. Propping up a business-like atmosphere, Jillian clears her throat, looks at Lilian straight in the eyes, and asks, "How may I help you?"
Sweet! Thanks guys. :D So stoked!!!!
