Current Just because you can have 36 attacks per turn that threaten a crit on a roll of 14+ doesn't mean it's worth doing.

Oh gosh, sorry I havn't been posting ^^; I'll get on the whole posting business soon as possible ^w^
Tensions were noticeably on the rise today. There was already a fight brewing - something that really did not concern the small group of men. They stood out like a sore thumb - if not for their clothing, then at the least for the crest of the Shimazu clan adorning their clothing. The small group of Shimazu samurai numbered nine in total and not one of them was wearing a helmet - their leader actually wasn't wearing any sort of armor at all. The small group was in the middle of jesting about taking a morning stroll through the town in full armor being a bad omen of sorts.

Yamato Shimazu - the man not wearing an armor - laughed along with his men, but underneath the smile and hearty laugh came the thoughts of this situation. It was not open warfare yet, but a single spark could ignite the whole town and even the surrounding provinces. "If those ruffians flee do not interfere, just let them pass..." He whispered to his men as the small group watched from the sidelines at an obvious apprehension attempt. Yamato examined the Metsuke who was making the apprehension attempt - there was something unnerving about the man, though they were nearly of the same height the Metsuke was just... in a noticeably better physical condition. "Keep your guard up around that man..." The Shimazu muttered to his men and instinctively lowered his left hand on the hilt of his katana while excitedly wondering would the next heartbeat or blink of an eye turn the morning in to a bloodbath..
Well originally my character was going to be Toshiro of the clan Shimazu, but too many Toshiro's would just make things difficult. ^w^

Rome, near the colosseum

Marcus Falco had had an uneventful day thus far - so uneventful in fact that he had decided to break his old habits and actually show himself at the Colosseum. This was so out of the ordinary that his manservant - a Greek, some years older than his master, a former gladiator and all around well adjusted fellow - Cato was ever so slightly taken aback by such a sudden change in daily routine. Still the two had made the journey - by foot, not that Marcus disliked carriages or riding, but in his opinion it was better to walk than cause too much of a ruckus in other ways.

"Ah, old boy, since you have such a sharp mind remind me again how you managed to beat those two Germans in your last match..." Marcus winked at Cato and knocked himself on the forehead "My memory isn't what it used to be you know, keep forgetting little details like that, but you have still all your fishes in the basket - or should I say figs in the tree?"

The tall Greek rolled his dark eyes - somehow that little gesture made the handsome, seemingly scarless man seem somehow very lewd and barbaric - as he took a deep breath. "Well, I really hate to brag, but only one of them was any good on the sand - the other was just a beginner in comparison. You have to believe me - I was there." He spread his massive arms and let out a hearty laugh. "You were there too, remember? Anyways..." The funny thing about Cato was that over the years Marcus had never heard him exaggerate any of his accomplishments, on the sands or off, he was admittedly intrigued by his friend's stories every time he heard them. The former consul smiled almost longingly as he thought of the few first years of them meeting. Those had been rough times for both of them...

Marcus was returned from his thoughts by the all too familiar "...Then by Juppiter's bollocks I stabbed the other fellow right between the legs - that's how I won my last fight on the sands." Cato lifted his hands to the air and made a little bow to an imaginary audience before the two men patted eachother on the shoulder - Marcus took his time to nod and congratulate the Greek on his story well told - and the two made their way to the stands of the colosseum.
Yea, but... umh ^^;; I didn't know that.

I'll change that ^^
Name: Yamato Shimazu

Faction: Sutomu

Position/Profession: More an onlooker - or a mediator - than anything else, Yamato has for the moment chosen to not take actual sides in the conflict since the current ordeal doesn't actually affect his clan at the moment.

Age: 28
Gender: male
Appearance: Yamato stands just below 6 feet, his clean shaven face has very effeminate features. A small scar on the left side of his mouth has left him with a permanent half smile. His dark, unkempt hair flows down his shoulders more like a mane than any proper haircut. His shoulders are quite thin, but his arms are strong.

Items: Yamato carries the usual katana and wakizashi on his sash - on the right side since he's left handed. His clothes are mostly gray with some dark green here and there - mostly the ends of his sash and linings on his sleeves.

As he had not intended to fight during his visit to Satu Yamato very reluctantly wears his armor - in other words he doesn't wear it unless it's absolutely necessary for his own safety.

(Without the helmet decoration and the orange cloth and other parts replaced with a brownish-green colored ones).

Yamato is however willing to utilize all sorts of dishonest tricks - be it shards of glass, small rocks or other such - thus he has few small pouches of such items hanging from his sash as well.

Abilities: Quick on his feet - especially without his armor, skilled swordsman - preferring iaijutsu above prolonged combat, exceptional tactician and strategist, good with numbers.

Personality: Yamato is a very talkative person who sometimes unintentionally offends those around him with his jests, under the joking and talkative demeanor works a very sharp and calculating mind - which is something he tries to hide by acting somewhat more immaturely and foolishly than what he actually is.

Biography: Yamato Shimazu is the third oldest son of the current daimyo of the Shimazu clan. From a young age he has had a quite weak physique - forcing him to either settle things very quickly or run for his life. He learned both possibilities very quickly - after all he had two older brothers. What Yamato may have lacked - and mostly still lacks - in physical qualities he very much outdid with both his sharp mind and tongue. When he wasn't writhing poetry or playing go or shogi he was keeping the clan's tax revenues in check.

Some years ago Yamato arrived for a brief visit to Satu - even during the short stay he managed - if not quite befriend - at the least leave a good impression of himself to people he met without exception of clans or social statuses. He arrived back to Satu just under a month ago and has taken his residence under the care of the Sutomu - and he has made it perfectly clear that he and his handful of retainers will do everything they can to not cause an imbalance on the already delicate situation.

Relationship: Though Yamato doesn't personally know anyone in Satu many people atleast remember him and recognize him from his earlier visit.
Is this an RP for a closed circle? I was merely wondering because the title got my attention and... umh ^w^ If possible I'd like to join this.
