Posted! I did do a few Geraden NPC's so I hope that isn't an issue, but otherwise enjoy!
Dalton, for his part, was busy working away in the kitchen, trying to prepare a meal for the army, especially for all the new volunteers that had come in recently. Well, it wasn't exactly an army, but he didn't really know what else to call it. Fortunately, the villagers had thanked them with a plentiful amount of gifts, including some utensils, some other materials for cooking, and lots of excess food that they scrounged together. That day, Dalton had decided to try cooking some venison, as he had noticed most of the army clamoring for some good quality meat for the past few days. Oh, they hadn't said anything to him, but something about their demeanor gave him the suspicion, which was confirmed when he started handing out plates. He quickly cooked the venison until there was only a little bit of pink in the center and then prepared a vegetable "slaw" to go on top; he didn't really know whether that was the right way to cook venison, but he figured it was close enough to beef that most of the same principles applied.

Of course, if it was the wrong way, he'd know soon enough. He definitely hoped not though, since he had already made a rather big mess up just that week. His big plan during the bandit invasion was to cut a big hole in the back of the barn to scare the horses through. While he was right that if the horses had stampeded out the front entrance, everyone friend and foe would've been crushed, he neglected to notice the rather big doors on the back there. Worse, after the battle was over, the locals had said that a good number of the horses were actually the villagers' horses, which he just scared away into the surrounding countryside! Dalton still was a bit stung over that mishap, but thankfully the villagers were far more happy with the bandits gone than they were annoyed that the horses had been scared away. It probably helped that he spent that night and most of the next day finding all the horses and rounding them up.

He tried to push this stupid moment out of his head, but it kept nagging him. Had it been a worse miscalculation, he could've killed somebody. The villagers also could've used that as an excuse to not give the party what they needed. After some time of these and many other thoughts stewing in his head, he eventually said to himself "I suppose it's best to leave the strategizing to the strategists. Oh well, at least everything turned out okay." while preparing the last batch of venison. Well, nobody had gotten sick yet, so he presumed if he did make a mistake, it wouldn't be that bad. "Then again," he thought "they might just be so hungry that they don't mind. Regardless, I think I'll take a break in the crew quarters."

He cleaned up the mess he had made cooking the food, then headed down the hallways. After a few moments, he decided to just go exploring the fort, after all there wasn't much else to do at the moment...

Inside one of the many forts of Edea captured by Geraden, a certain army commander paced back and forth. He was a gruff man, big, mean, and very strong looking, he was clad in black armor with some purple lining and the insignia of Geraden. Eventually, he stopped pacing and said "What do you mean they haven't been found yet?" A rather timid looking soldier replied with a weak "W-w-well, we just haven't been able to find any trace of the prince or those seen escorting him." The commander reeled on the soldier and yelled, practically in his face "Then do your accursed jobs and find them already!"

A voice came down from a nearby hallway "My my, somebody certainly seems to be in a bad mood today." The commander perked up right away and, his voice still tinged with rage "I really don't need you to tell me how angry I can or can't be Venn." A lean man, dressed in long purple robes and having white hair and golden eyes, made himself shown in the entryway. The soldier jumped up in shock at the name, then turned around towards him "V-v-Venn? What are y-y-you doing here?" Venn's face lit up with a smile, the kind of smile that conjures images of a sadistic torturer about to cut his victim to ribbons. Then he said, matter of factly "Oh, I'm just passing through. Hehe, oh I do love giving our leaders a surprise visit, it's quite fun!"

"Oh shut up and tell me what you're after" the commander said with a grunt.

"Oh come on..." Venn said, dissatisfied "why are you people always so serious?" He gave that smile again and said "No matter, at least you're still alive eh? I was just checking up on how the prince hunting is going. Given your reaction I imagine you're having some kind of trouble?"

The commander then yelled again "OF COURSE I'M HAVING TROUBLE YOU..." he cut himself off before he insulted his superior "Yes...yes we are. Our spies in Aurora still haven't found those accursed men. If I don't capture those men soon---"

"Then you'll be an absolutely charming skel-lee-ton" Venn said, still smiling. "At any rate, why are you looking up there? They are still in Edea, otherwise you would've been posted up in Aurora!" The commander, barely containing his rage said "Why would they be down here? We have access to every fort they have, and our patrols are looking for them everywhere. If they were still here, we'd have the prince's head by now!"

Venn tilted his head slightly "Really? I think they would've made quite the ruckus if they had left the country! And besides that, we don't have every fort down here." He then reached into his shoulder pack and pulled out a roll containing a few old documents. He then flung the maps into the commander's face, which he quickly picked up and glanced at. The commander responded with "What is this?", which prompted Venn to answer "Oh just some old documents detailing a fortress they ended up abandoning. I don't know who would do such a silly thing, build a castle then just split when they're done. But then, who can know the mind of an Edean? I only have a hunch to go on, but I think our little band of misfits is hiding out there, it's certainly close enough to the palace. And with that, I have your orders, to march a force of...oh I think about a thousand should do it, to X marks the spot! I think they've probably become complacent and are still holed up there, but on the off chance they decide to flee, I can cut them off at the Jinn border, Commander Ralos can take command of all the ports and lock them down, and... heh well they'd be food for Exotria, but just in case I've deployed Commander Ulvan over that aways with a small force. That sounds good to you yes?"

The commander just sighed and said, "Very well, I think we're going on a wild goose chase more than anything, but I don't have anything else to go on."

Venn gave a big grin and said "Wonderful! Just remember, the early skel-lee-ton skewers the peasant!" He then left, followed closely behind by the commander.
*Trains for a month striaght*

Okay I'm master class now, time to kick the evil goddess's rear and head home! :P

Anyways, I think I might have some solid ideas for some new characters. However, I'll probably wait until next chapter at least to introduce one of them. The reason is because we're kinda going at a snails pace here. Actually if we were a snail we would've starved to death. I really think we need to set some kind of posting schedule up or something, once I week I don't think would be too much to ask. The point is, I'm getting rather annoyed at how slow this is going, I mean, it's been like a year since this has started and we've gotten from the prologue to...chapter 2. Really? I'd probably still stay because of loyalty and not wanting to scrap Dalton, but I'm almost considering finding another FE RP or making one myself because this is just taking too much time for us to actually get anywhere!

Oh, right. Characters. Right.

With that rant done, I suppose I may as well weigh in. I think Veri's idea is probably the best, honestly I wouldn't really keep any items besides the "potions", the keys, and maybe some Magic Dust and...that's pretty much it. Otherwise we should really work on some fun items like the example Veri gave. Another thing we ought to consider before heading too far ahead is...possibly some kind of stat system or something that can actually mark the progression of our characters a bit. For instance, I happen to be part of Legends of Renalta 2, which has a bit more detailed of a stat system. I'm not saying we should make anything nearly as detailed, but it'd still be a good idea to find some way to mark progression. Just my two cents on the matter.

Finally...well what are you standing here for, POST ALREADY!
@Veri: Yeah, you're probably right. I'll probably wait until next chapter to figure out a new character. I'm sure by the time six months pass I'll have something. :P

@Rethel: Aww, I kinda liked them. Now I'm sort of wondering what changes advancement is actually going to do now, since we aren't using a stringent stat system...
Hrm...well this might wor....nonono. Argh, this character just isn't working for me.

*Hits a big red button*

"RESET!"

Ahem, anyways I'm honestly thinking about ditching the character concept for Issac. Honestly, I just don't know if enough things were working for me, and no matter how hard I try I can't get the "puzzle pieces" to fit together. That said, I do have a couple of concepts for two new characters! (Yay!)

The first is probably a more traditional frost mage that I would put in the near future. The only potential sore spot is that my initial idea is for her to be a noble, something Veri seems to have a bit of an issue with :(. That said, I would be doing a lot of things different from your typical Fire Emblem noble (she'd be only 6th in line for the throne for example, and she'd be a lot less significant than most nobles plotwise). Still, I'd like to know what you guys think.

The second...honestly the only thing I know for sure I want out of him is that he's going to be a laguz. My first thought was a rat thief laguz hilariously enough! At any rate, I do want some kind of laguz in the party, since right now with Sylph gone we have exactly none. Frankly, at the rate this is going I'm not sure if we should have laguz in this, since atm they don't seem very plot relevant. Aside from that, I don't know, but I'd probably introduce him later on.

EDIT: Did we get rid of build types or something?

EDIT 2: Oh, now I realize there's actually two nobles in our party...I might need to go back to the drawing board... :(
So...for Royal Blood do I just wait for Brovo to post for the prince or what?
Honestly, I'm not sure either. The assassin concept Veri came up with sounds like fun, but sort of clashes with his "no killing" stance. I was even thinking about making a skill kinda like Mercy, only it wouldn't work against undead and such, and it might come with like a stun turn anytime he deals damage past 1 hp. I'm still trying to work him out. I suppose I should ask, what exactly do we still need that we don't have already?
So I made my first post, I hope it's good. I just really hope I haven't already screwed things up. *puts paranoia cap on*
Royal Blood

So...this is Liveria...

Such were the thoughts of Auric as he and his company rode into the streets. It was a sharp contrast to his homeland of Rhinefield, the streets and buildings were dark, and the atmosphere unnerved him a bit. All around, the streets which he imagined were normally bustling were eerily silent, and he couldn't help but wonder whether the inhabitants were somehow afraid of the Queen's Blades. He knew that this mission was going to be a tough one, especially with the bad blood between Rhinefield and Liveria, so he would have to conceal his homeland as best as he could, though his celestial heritage was going to be an issue he couldn't avoid.

As the group approached the palace, Mikan had made several comments that struck Auric as snide. To him, she seemed to be taking far too much light of the situation, and was far too flirtatious for his liking. Still, he knew better than to mock her, what little he had heard of her was that she was quite the devastating assassin, though he couldn't confirm the reports. Even so, it would be best to stay on her good side, even if Auric was a bit put off by her mannerisms. Eventually though, they reached the palace and she had gotten the doors open for them.

Auric marveled at the rather magnificent architecture of the building, he never had been inside a palace before. The decor was a bit dark for his tastes, but given the rest of the city he wasn't surprised by this. At length they were conducted into the throne room. He thought the falcon was a rather strange addition to this situation, and stared at it for a couple of seconds before he resumed walking with the group. Auric swiftly followed Mikan's lead, bending knee before the prince. This was a rather unusual situation for the nation to be in, welcoming foreigners into their lands, and he knew that he would have to make a good example.

It was then that the prince asked "What, are your names... And why did you choose to volunteer to come to a kingdom which openly disdains the one you work for."

Auric responded with an immediate introduction "My name is Auric Oranthar". A few seconds passed as he worked out how to answer the next part of the prince's question. His first instinct was to respond with the fact that he didn't owe allegiance to the queens, but realized that it could be easily taken the wrong way. Not wanting to keep the prince waiting he continued with what he thought was a succinct and honest answer "As for why I am here, I simply go where I am needed most. I will do everything I can to help." he added with a hint of a smile.
Yeah I was thinking about changing him to either a thief or a mage without the armor. The reason I had him in armor was just because I thought at the time that we didn't have a tank. Hmm...would a spell slinging thief be all right then?
