Supernatural Neighborhood

Eva was on her way back from the library, carrying with her a book on ancient artifacts of power. She turned the pages one by one, hoping to find what she was looking for. From time to time, she would pause and look up, either out of distraction or out of caution, however her last few steps towards her street she walked blindly.
Upon reaching the corner of the street where her temporary abode resided, she looked up out of shock at the sound of a strange young man telling at the door of a house near her. She stared in confusion. What is wrong with people here? she thought to herself with one eyebrow raised, still staring at the strange man with the open book still held in her hands.

Name: Leah Mayfair

Clothes: A nurse's uniform (a fitted white cotton dress), a denim jacket, ankle-high Doc Marten boots with a sterling silver cross on the outer side.
Weapons:
- A katana is her main weapon since she prefers to use cut off their heads
- A semi-automatic pistol, the only gun she feels confident using, however rarely used.
Hair: Black, long and curly, tied up most of the time however when it is not, it is in a half up, half down do.
Eyes: Dark brown, nothing special
Personality: Leah's not much of a fighter however she is highly skilled in terms of medicine. She is able to work fast, but still works carefully of course, when stitching open wounds and dressing injuries. She has quite a gentle persona however, this does not mean she takes battle lightly. Just because she doesn't fight much, that doesn't mean she doesn't know how. In terms of her opinion on vampires, she does not hate them as much as most humans do, however if any should cross her in the wrong way, she will not hesitate to kill them.

Power(s):
- Gaze: The ability to manipulate the minds of her victims simply by staring them straight in the eyes. Her eyes go a hazy purple colour when this ability is in use.
- Toxic Bite: The poison from her bite is quite deadly and has a fatal effect on a normal human. However, she has found that those with special powers are only affected for a short period of time, though the pain is always excruciating
Item(s): A small blade coated with a toxic serum, however the serum is needs to be replaced from time to time so she also carries a few vials of poison with her.
Backstory: Esther was born in London, England, to a very privileged family. She lived a comfortable life and always had everything she wanted. Most would call her spoilt, but she referred to herself as 'blessed'. As she grew older, she grew fond of a particular servant in the household known as Lydia. Lydia was highly skilled in witchcraft and after Esther had been witness to its effects, she became fascinated with the art also. However, she was particularly intrigued by poison. She experimented with many different toxic substances until she, together with Lydia, developed a unique kind of serum which Lydia named as the Chimera's bite. In order to test out their new brew of evil, Esther and Lydia attempted to poison one of Esther's classmates. Unfortunately, their plan backfired and Lydia had perished. Overcome by depression and a deep sadness for the loss of her friend, Esther attempted to take her own life and drank one of the potions left behind in Lydia's workshop. But the potion gave her new life, new power and hence, Chimera was born. Seeing this a second chance in life, Esther laboured to teach herself all of Lydia's knowledge in witchcraft in order to continue on her legacy. In her studies however, she stumbled upon a legend of a dagger which had the ability to not only take life, but to keep the spirit alive. Only the one who bears the dagger would be able to command the undead spirit army. Intrigued by this legend, Esther left London in search of the powerful artefact, where he eventually found herself in the city of Hope. Good or bad, it is unclear what side she fights on since her only goal is to find the Dagger of Eternal Life.
Personality: She is very persuasive and manipulative, almost to the point of being seductive if she needs to be just to get her own way. However, when in battle, she is terribly aggressive and always considers any fight a fight to the death. But in general, she walks with an air of superiority, always feeling like she's better than everyone else and chooses her friends very carefully. If she likes you, she likes you. But if she doesn't like you, she'll probably try to kill you.
Crush/Relationship: Single and no crush as of yet
Other: Esther's favourite dress (the one in the picture) is a family heirloom, so she takes special care of it. If it tears, she will sew it back together. She becomes emotional if it becomes dirty or torn.

Name: Emma Warwick
Age: 20
Personality: Emma is extremely bubbly, energetic and quite immature and childish for her age. She is still fascinated by the smallest things and has a very strong sense of curiosity, which gets her into trouble a lot of the time. Emma has a great interest in potions and loves to experiment with new things. She is a free spirit and does whatever she chooses whenever she chooses. Considered to be a little annoying at times, she always remains cheerful, even when in battle. However, despite this, her movements are graceful and she has more strength than most would assume.
Powers:
- Invisibilty: For now she has very little control over this ability and more often than most, she is unable to remain completely invisible (ie. sometimes her hand or ear may still be visible)
- Flight/Hovering: Without the help of an object like a broom, she is only capable of hovering a few inches off the ground. But even if she takes to the skies, she still has very little control over this ability
- Water and Fire Manipulation: For now, these are the only elements she is able to control and she has more control over fire than she has over water. Despite this, her elemental manipulation is much more advanced than any of her other skills.
Weakness: She has a strange but unyielding fear of birds. No matter how small the creature, she still feels the need to hide from them, which is why she doesn't fly too much. She also has mild tryptophobia (fear of many holes, I tell you now, do not google)

I'm new to the site so I'm exploring a bit and it was nice to see a different RP that wasnt about an zombie apocalypse or superheroes/villians :P
Don't get me wrong, I still like playing in those settings but it was nice to see something different :)

Name: Evangeline 'Eva' Grimm

Powers/Abilities:
- Fatal Kiss: the ability to suck the life out of her victims through mouth-to-mouth contact. Although she rarely uses this, she has great control over the final effect, whether it will actually kill the victim or not
- Shadow Servant: allows Eva's shadow to detach from her body and take on a solid form for a short period of time or no longer than 10 minutes. This allows her shadow to fight or pick up objects. However, Eva has very little control over this ability and when her shadow is detached, it has a mind of its own. Also, without her shadow she is unable to use her wings.
- Flight: Eva is highly skilled in this ability however, her left wing is slightly bent.
Items: A scythe passed down to her by her ancestors

History: Eva is the only child born to two death angels that are direct descendants of the Grim Reaper. Being the only child and due to her heritage, Eva lived a lonely and isolated life. She was raised to be independent, to never rely on anyone and most of all, to hate any other species considered to be below their own, especially humans. She was nurtured through sin and raised by cruelty, always made to watch as her parents unceasingly took lives. Whether their victims were deserving or undeserving, whether they were criminals or the holiest of men, her parents would kill without mercy whenever it pleased them. They expected Eva to continue their legacy, however she had other plans in mind.

After everything she had witnessed growing up, she realised that she was more than just the bringer of death, she was an influence. She realised that the thought of death, the idea of death would somehow invoke fear and fear was a powerful weapon. On her 600th birthday, she was sent on her first hunt and her victim was a human military captain. Her father's orders were to utilise the customary touch of death, however she disobeyed. She had expected that if she threatened the captain with his death, he would succumb to her and agree to do her bidding, providing her with her own servant. However, he was not so weak and endured a whole 7 days of excruciating torture without once begging for his life. Impressed by his will to live, she released her victim but her father was furious. Her father had ordered for her wings to be stripped, but she fled, escaping from the underworld with nothing but the Grimm scythe and finding herself on the surface of Earth. Keeping her identity a secret, she posed as a fallen guardian angel, watching over the strongest and the most powerful of the human race and other species among them. Eventually, her cruel heart began to change. Although she was still selfish and self-centred, she had no desire to kill mercilessly and only took life if she knew that it was necessary. After roaming the Earth for more than 1100 years, she heard word of the power of the Grimm scythe, a power that she had never heard of. But her curiosity got the better of her and eventually her travels led her to Coransea, a valley of Supernaturals, hoping to find answers.

Crush/Relationship: Single and no crush as of yet
Friends/Family: A descendant of the Grim Reaper, her parents being Damien and Lucia Grimm, two death angels with great reputations within their society. Eva is the only child.
Other: She has a small birthmark in the shape of a bone on waist, near the left side of her ribcage
