Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.
So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:
I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.
If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

- Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)

Name: Roxanne 'Roxy' Profeta
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Job: Has been given the prophesying powers of the Oracle of Delphi, although she is the heir of Apollo
Appearance:
Roughly 5'4, looks young for her age. Skinny, not much in the way of curves, but certainly easy on the eye. Has a sweet, dimpled grin that matches her playful blue eyes perfectly. Black curls reach about her shoulder blades.
Personality: Unlike her Godly counterpart, Roxy is a perfect, regular school girl. If it weren't the crazy-ass powers and scary visions she keeps getting. She tries to not let it get her down though, keeping a mostly bubbly and optimistic look on life - always bright and cheerful, she knows how to make others smile, no matter how bad their day. It's rare for her to be in a negative mood, but more often than not, it's fear from her powers and visions that gets her down. With humour, bravery, and a shoulder to cry on, she's a true friend that you'd be lucky to have.
History: Roxy is unsure of why she was chosen. She has both Italian and Greek roots, but her family have never mentioned any sort of tie to Apollo or even the Oracle at Delphi.
Roxy finds that perhaps it was her bright outlook on everyone that caught the attention of the Greek Sun God.
Powers/Duties: Her main duty is to inform various other deities of prophecies that they might be involved in, or visions of future events that she wishes to stop.
Powers:
Oracle: The ability to see the future, although the visions do not give much warning as to when they come, nor can she manifest them consciously. They often leave her in a vulnerable state, with nosebleeds, bleeding from the eyes, migraines, and fatigue. It takes a few days for her to recover from a bad vision - one involving death, pain, grief, etc.
Light Manifestation The ability to manifest light. Although entirely possible for her to use it as a weapon - light beams, etc - she does not, instead using it to create a sort of halo-like glow around herself whenever she's cold, as it produces a comfortable amount of warmth. She can also send this light to those who need a wee bit of heat.
On top of this, she has an astounding amount of medical knowledge and often helps people along in the healing process, although she hasn't been able to actually physically heal someone fully as of yet - she's working on this power.
Fantastic singing voice. Whether that's because Apollo is God of music or not, or whether it can really be classed as a power, she does enjoy using it as much as possible to brighten up the atmosphere.

"No shit." Rozalia snarled as she stood up, feeling severely annoyed. She was already tired and cranky - explosions and death this early on a morning didn't particularly help. The police were running about like head less chickens as she pushed them out of the way towards a the front doors - which had been blown off their hinges. Looking outside, it was chaos. The acrid smell of burnt rubber and charred flesh filled the air, which was punctuated with screams and far off sirens. Twisted metal and black forms were all that were left of the police cars and the people inside.

And the fact that the props department dated a load of newspapers for film 6 to 2007. And car numberplates. Stuff like that.
Hopefully on that note we will be able to set it in more modern times - it will make it easier for us when mentioning muggle things - having to double-check references can be tedious to some. Although, it is up to the GM.
Oh, by the way, the book timeline begins in 1991. The movie timeline is supposed to start in the same year, but there are obvious errors during filming - such as the millennium bridge, and obvious change in style of clothes. If so it kinda has to begin in 1991 if we're doing canon only dates - I suppose we just have to remember not to mention anything before that time!

It's okay, take your time with your character! Oh, and please tell me if there's a specific race you'd like to reserve - just in-case we get a sudden onslaught of interested people and I have to keep limits on certain races. ((If I were that lucky. XD))
