I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Current Active Roleplays:

The Elder Scrolls: Fruits of Contention
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Crimson Skies (GM)

Oh, also, I'm going to show you which route the company has taken from Ivarstead to Kynesgrove:
http://skyrim.coolaps.com/?lang=en&mid=250 Interactive map of Skyrim - very useful!

So, if you leave all the keys on the map, you can work out which path they've taken:

Ivarstead to Shroud Hearth Barrow: 1 Day
SHB to Darkwater Pass: 3 Days
Darkwater Pass to Eastern Bridge: 1 Day
Eastern Bridge to Atronach Stone: 1 Day
Atronach Stone to Eldergleam Sanctuary: 2 days (going through the river) or 3 days (going around the river)
ES to Bownstrew Crest (Although a dragon roosting spot, we won't be having a dragon there yet): 2 days
BC to Witchmist Grove: 2-3 Days.
Witchmist Grove to Kynesgrove: 1 Day
Kynesgrove to Burial Site: 1-2 Days.

This is including time spent resting, hunting for food, cooking food, sleeping, drinking, and fighting enemies.
Also, the map makers and just being used for reference - the entering of these areas will not take place, so your characters can actually visit them in real-time, and not just in the timeskip. Our group will be resting and camping by rivers and creeks, in cleared out caves (Not deep ones; just the hollows of rock you find bears and such in), and unmarked abandoned houses or shacks, etc.

So, hope this helps out!
^ No problem, North; apologies for not announcing it myself. :)

I'm working on my post now guys - now, who is everyone thinking of joining up with when the group splits?

I mean what is there to not like? I borderline overpowered soul sucking supervillain who has lived for at least 400 years. Are you implying that the Vigilants aren't doing a very good job?

I doubt it, Delta.
Well, DeadCruiser has officially dumped this, so we can find his character's corpse on the road or something.
That's fine Hallowed, just as long as you've checked in - unlike some others, which I will be chasing up. Glad you're still onboard! :)
Also, Delta, I'd highly recommend that you read up on the other pages. It may be a bit tedious, but the start-up is going slower than I expected, so this'll be a good chance for you to take a look at some of the character's in action and see their development.
Steph's eyes whipped back to Ethan's own blue ones, blinking in surprise as a light blush crept onto her pale cheeks. She had expected him to just sit in silence by her, as most kids did whenever she was forced to be near human contact. Yeah, she did admittedly hang around the fringes of a crowd of the less-popular girls from the school, but it was rare for her to say anything to them. She assumed they let her linger nearby because they felt sorry for her, somewhat. Honestly, when she was just a kid in elementary school, she was more comfortable talking to kids, but since the divorce of her parents and high school, she'd retreated in on herself. The girls she stuck with (More for safety in numbers than anything else - she didn't appreciate the looks she got from others in the school, despite on the outside being unperturbed by them.), who had been friendly with her in elementary school, just accepted her introverted-ness as a fact and put up with it.
"Um... yeah. Thank-you." She said softly, smiling at him, taken aback - and almost flattered - at his surprising kindness. Standing up and easing over to his side and he shuffled over to hers, she sat back down with a content smile, watching the world rush by at the window. The seat radiated a comfortable warmth from Ethan's body heat, and she settled into the window seat with more ease. It wasn't just the window she liked. It was the 'boxed-in' feeling.
Now, normally, someone in her position would be fairly abhorrent of closed in areas, especially in such a hostile place as high school. But she enjoyed it. It reminded her of her little cubby-hole, hidden in an alcove in the wall, which was where she went to Disconnect. No-one, not even her Dad, knew about it, and it was dark, warm, and pretty much the only soundproof place in the house. So, window or corner seats were her most loved places, which was normally the places she sat at in school. It made it easier to concentrate - but she tended to day-dream anyway.
Her eyes were now lingering on her hands, and she shyly darted another glance at Ethan. She felt the need to somehow pay him back for his kindness. Perhaps talking to him would do it? From what she had seen, he didn't really have any friends, just like her. She assumed it was the noise often erupting from his mouth, seen by most as obnoxious and irritating. However, it didn't seem to bother her. From what she had seen from most of her fantasy worlds, most characters like this were just hiding something painful. Or, were just Dwarves. But, hell, she liked both of those things.
"Ethan..." She began, saying his name for the first time softly. "Erm... did you do your art-work this week?" She asked with a coy smile. It was a fairly medicore thing to talk about -school work - but they were in the same art-class, so it was something to talk about, at least. Her headphones were almost yelling at her from her bag, but she ignored the fact they were there. Yes, it would be a far less anxious bus journey with them on, but for the first time ever, she thought it would be rude to just ignore someone - or, specifically, to ignore Ethan.
Roze stepped back but an inch at the use of her name. The only people privy to that information were Government. Which meant that perhaps, this guy wasn't lying.
Ignoring Elijah's command, she stared on at this scarred Meta before her obstinately - her gaze only thrown at the commotion came from outside, and the mysterious meta from the roof had fallen to the floor, now whining.
"Get out of here, stupido. This isn't the time for children." She commanded cooly, and her wintery gaze locked back to the fery eyes of the man stood before her.
"I'd assume the child was with the Government; he had the equipment for it, at least. He was with an older man - probably there to make sure the kid didn't do anything stupid, which he failed at. The guy whisked Caro away, the kid came and went, and then suddenly I became a bad-guy. So, do you want to tell me why you need to know this, and what the hell is going on out there?" She queried, her tone serious but cold.
Steph drummed her pencil impatiently against her drawing pad. She was out of erasers, and she wanted - no, needed - to finish this drawing today. She'd been working on it all week, an extra piece of art to stash in her various portfolios. Her walls were already taken up by paintings, drawings, print-outs and plans, maps of the fantasy worlds she obsessed over, copied to painstaking detail. Even her ceiling had been peppered with constellations and galaxies of other other universes - for her own universe was perfectly unworthy of life, in her opinion. Her very existence had no meaning - that was, until she discovered a hidden talent. Disconnecting.
That was truly the thing that had brought her back from the deepest pit of depression. It allowed her to journey to the worlds she so craved. Only last night she had been in the middle of creating sweeping landscapes that belonged to Middle-Earth. The red sun-set sky and the cool rush of the wind had overtaken her senses in her mind, Steph becoming so overcome with it all she cried in frustration as her alarm awoke her for school. That had been an hour ago - skipping breakfast in favour of finishing her drawing. But she had used up the tiniest nub of rubber, and still it lay un-finished.
"Thank God I have art today." She muttered, packing the A3 sheet of artists paper into a portfolio and tucking it under her arm, closing and locking her bedroom door behind her, and descending the shabby stairs of her house. From the lack of snoring often heard resonating from the front room, her Dad hadn't come in last night. Again. Not that she was complaining.
Opening the front door a crack, she exhaled for a moment, taking in the frost, and a grin growing on her face as the air misted around her warm breath, the clouds billowing out like steam from a dragon's maw.

Swiftly pulling an over-sized black coat on over her thin, off-shouldered sweater - displaying a motif of a lightsaber from Star Wars - and simple black leggings, the laces of her black combat boots trailed behind her as she walked towards the bus stop, her pace quickening to a job as she saw the school bus pull up.

Once on, she sighed inaudibly, taking in the overwhelming lack of seats barring one at the back. She preferred to sit on her own, staring out of the window and losing herself in her music. Keeping her head down - despite everyone ignoring her anyway - she walked to the back and sat next to the boy; Ethan, she was sure he was called. He never bothered her like most of the others boys did. Offering up a shy smile, she untucked her black curls from her ears, letting her mane of ebony swing forward and hiding her face. For some reason, she felt glad she had remembered to pull a brush through it this morning.
Woo! Can't wait :)
Full Name: Stephanie Harris

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Personality: In a word - quiet. Being a fairly introverted girl, Steph often just loses herself in a world of her music, headphones cranked as high as possible and not caring if it spills out to the irritation of others. Although very passionate over certain areas, she rarely airs her opinions in public, preferring to keep it all to herself than strike up a conversation with someone she doesn't really know. Although fairly friendless - barring a few acquaintances that let her hang around more out of convenience than anything else - she isn't completely sociopathic; a friend - or more - would be great, but to her, the prospects of either of those things are stuck in the fantasy worlds that she constantly obsesses about.
Underneath the seemingly shy and day-dreaming shell lives a vibrant and imaginative girl; with a hidden sense of humour, and an undenying strength that somehow protects her from those who turn their bullying to her.

Appearance:

Stands at a height of about 5'5, fairly slim but with a few curves. Her skin is fairly clear, barring a small tattoo at the base of her back that she had done secretly.
Often seen wearing clothes that display one fandom or another, or is just comfortable; she doesn't really care if they make her look weird or if they don't fit properly. She favours combat boots over heels.

Hobbies: Day-dreaming is her main one, often getting her into trouble with class - not that it really matters. With not much of a social life, she does as much studying and homework as she needs too, getting it out of the way so she can indulge in her other hobbies, such as reading (Either books or fan-fiction), drawing or painting, singing her heart out to music (Or just listening to it really loud if she's out in public), and partaking in writing herself at times. She also enjoys cooking, but doesn't get much chance to do so for various reasons.
