I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

The bitterness in the woman's voice surprise Niko. Although it was an emotion he was more than accustomed with, he found it surprising given the context of the situation. Anger, fear, or simple cockiness were reactions more likely to be found in a captive, but not the resentment that appeared both in her face and her voice, her brow twisting into a dark look still visible on her pale, dirt-streaked face. "Weren't paying attention?" Niko repeated, one eyebrow raised quizzically. "Then you should thank the Nine that we weren't bandits - or worse." He added, now crouching down on the balls of his feet in front of her, looking her over. Her armour looked unique; a combination of fur and leather that he had never seen before. He couldn't be sure of the hide used either, but the fur looked to be of a snow bear, the same as her hooded cloak. Realising that she was still carrying weapons, he removed the quiver from her back; the bow must have been picked up by Valerion or Rawlith - and unbuckled the sheath from her belt. He was about to just place it on the floor until his eye caught the strange hilt protruding from the leather sheath, and he slowly drew it out. Exhaling sharply, his piercing blue eyes met once again with her own ethereal ones. "This is no ordinary dagger." He began in a hushed voice. "Who exactly are you?"
Well, I suppose there are three options for you at the moment: You could start off your post with Sylvan in the group already, indicating that she had joined them at High Hrothgar and journeyed with them, but just hasn't said much or really introduced herself - if this is the case, I'd recommend you say it's because she's still unsure of joining properly yet, or something of the like. A second option is your character goes to Ivarstead, but finds she is too late. There are currently four other characters in and around that area, so she could join with them as they search for Dovahfeyn. A final option is meeting the group by pure coincidence, by yourself. Happen upon them in the wilderness, or just do a brief paragraph about how your character had missed them in Ivarstead - then do a timeskip forward one week in which she meets up with them now. I'm not expecting tons of character development in your first post, but an insight to her personality would be great. Try to remember - I'm a total grammar Nazi, so keep the post nice and tidy please.
Excellent changes! Feel free to move it over to the main role play - and thanks for sticking through all of that. Sometimes, when we ask people to change stuff, they just run away. Can't wait to see you in action! If you need help on getting your first post done, feel free to ask.
No, no. God, if I could draw like that, I wouldn't be trailing the Internet for decent pictures to use. No, I meant that my first sign up for Roze was a rushed one, as I was so eager to get the role play started.
Once again, the bio needs fleshing out some more. How old was she when she left Valenwood? The college of Winterhold doesn't accept children as students, so one would presume she was at the very least 16 years old when she joined. How did she get there? A 16-year-old Untrained Bosmer wouldn't survive the journey from Valenwood to Northern Skyrim all on her own. You also haven't stated where she received training for her hunting, and taking of animals. That armour is both unique and made of ebony - making it incredibly expensive. She wouldn't have had enough money for something like that;and if she acquired it by spelunking in some fort or cave, I would expect a decent anecdote during the role play of her acquiring it - along with assistance. Going in force in a place with hostiles would require aid for her - due to young age. Also, ebony is not light armour, it's heavy; light to medium armour is required for her class. I'll have to say no to a sabre cat, but something like a wolf is fine, or even an ice wolf. I'd also prefer if you found a better picture for appearance - something that actually looks like a Bosmer, but that's just me being picky, and you don't have to do it. Other than that, you're good to go!
Time isn't an issue, so you can take as long as you need. :) just remember that when you do add the detail, take into account what I've mentioned, such as age and whatnot.
Awesome, thanks for the changes! By the way everyone, I've fleshed out my CS for Rozalia and added a picture - it was one of my rushed ones, I'll admit, but I find to write a good CS, I need to play the character a bit first and develop them that way. Take a look, if you'd like!
Name: Rozalia "Roze" Éathliel Age: 23 Race: Breton - although one can see a touch of Nord, from her Father's side. Class: Rogue Appearance: Standing at a height of about 5'5, with a slim and lithe body, Roze has the perfect figure for being quiet and sneaky. Her disarming grin and sweet dimpled cheeks often make others underestimate her, along with her warm, honey coloured eyes. She has a thick mane of black curls reaching nearly her mid-back, that she more often than not just ties up and stuffs into a hood when it misbehaves - which is always. Personality: Easy-going and naturally sweet, she can make a witty quip about pretty much anything and is quick to tease to lighten the atmosphere. However, she can turn bitter when people treat her badly, and her anger is something that you do not want to face, even with a sword in your hand. Other than that, she has an unwavering loyalty for those she cares about, and is quick to stand up for the down-trodden and discriminated. Bio: Roze's story is rather simple, yet tragic one. Ever since she was a young girl, hearing stories about the various adventurers while living in Cyrodiil, she wanted to join their ranks immediately. However, her life didn't go particularly as she had planned. Starting off in life in a small village just north of Bruma in Cyrodiil, adventure seemed unlikely. Her community were no more than farmers, the strongest man there being a Redguard blacksmith; who was getting on his years. A man kinder than his dour exterior showed, he gifted Rozalia a small steel dagger when she but four years old. Little did she know at that time how much she would come to rely on it. The Great War hadn't affected their small village all that much - Rozalia not even aware of it, due to her being born 3 years after the Concordat was signed. However, that all changed when a group of Thalmor came their way; one of the groups that had fought in Hammerfell and lingered in Cyrodiil, they passed through their village on the their way to Skyrim. However, seeing the sole Redguard in the village brought back sour memories for the group of Aldmeri Dominion warriors, and they issued an unwarranted search, spewing some nonsense that they had received intelligence of outlawed Talos Worship. As many in the village were Nords - such as Rozalia's father - Talos symbols and shrines remained, and were found. Being only simple farm-hands, they had no defense against the Thalmor that slaughtered their entire village and razed the houses to the ground. Rozalia only escaped thanks to that old Redguard blacksmith, who had been determined to save the only child of the village. He was shot in the back with an arrow as she fled into the icy wilderness, tears freezing on her face as she left behind the corpses of everyone she knew and loved, the last words of the Redguard still in her mind: "Don't look back. Don't forget." She made her way to Bruma, avoiding neighbouring villages in case Thalmor lingered there - even at four years old, she was a quick thinker. As soon as she reached the gates of Bruma, the various beggars dotted around the city quickly took her under their wing. Thankfully, she had some pretty quick street-smarts, and was able to avoid trouble while living on the streets with various other orphans and veterans of the war. For 19 years, she stayed on the streets - travelling to various cities, and eventually coming into contact with the Thieves Guild in the Imperial City. Although not actually joining them, they offered her basic training on how to defend herself - that old steel dagger she had received years ago had saved her life plenty of times; either from drug addicts, fellow pickpockets, or men who got far too personal. But she knew she needed something better if she were to get anywhere in life. Naturally talented with a bow, it was her favoured weapon - it was quick, quiet, and gave plenty of ranged shots. However, in order for the training to occur, the Guild wanted one thing - she had to steal the bow, and the arrows. Now, that was child's play for her - picking the most isolated armoury in the city was no problem, nor was picking the locks and getting away with ease. So, this way she received training, including the basics of swordplay and parrying, etc. When the word of dragons got to her, she made the decision to travel to Skyrim and help fight - ''borrowing'' some armour and weapons along her way, from some very unsuspecting - and no doubt furious - travelling merchants. After all, she could look after herself, both in the streets and in the wilds. She also knew that the Thalmor were prevalent in Skyrim, thanks to the uprisal of the Stormcloaks. She never fails to recall those last words of the Redguard Blacksmith. She didn't look back, that was true. But nor did she forget. Equipment: A fairly battered - but strong - set of leather armour, enchanted with a chameleon illusion, along with a leather mages hood, which gives her a boost in health. Also has a twin set of ebony daggers, found during one of her silent plunderings of giant camps. Also has a hunting bow, given by the Guild. She also carries with her at all times the old steel dagger - not used much, but still looked after - and an Amulet of Mara that always hangs around her neck, which belonged to her Mother. A man tried to steal it once. He didn't see daylight again. Other: Has a great love for music, and although tempted to join the Bard's College, couldn't simply be done with the cattiness of the other Bards and the endless chores one must do to learn how to play a drum. However, the Thieve's Guild of Skyrim has interested her - although it seemed almost unwise to make that big a commitment when she was younger, she has a better feeling about this.
Good start, but I have a few issues: First off, your name. Although I appreciate the joke - and laughed - the name won't really be taken seriously in the roleplay. I also doubt that any Khajiit would have the surname of 'khat'. Secondly, your bio, along with your age. Firstly, the Nords of Skyrim are known for being mistrustful to outsiders - especially those in small farming communities. (You also haven't mentioned where this village was - a name isn't required, because I know the game itself doesn't offer nearly enough settlements as a continent would have, but I would at the least like a Hold or distance from the nearest large settlement.) - so the likelihood of them accepting a young Khajiit into their community is unlikely - especially because of the negative stereotypes that Khajiit's hold; not helped by the fact she came by way of a Moon Sugar smuggling clan. However, this is a fairly minor issue - if we accept that she was indeed taken in by the community, there is no particular way that she'd receive any decent training. The Nords - especially those in rural ares - are severely mistrustful of magic - as any innkeeper will tell you. Any magic users there wouldn't dole out lessons, especially for free (As your Khajiit would have little to no money - gathering crops isn't a lucrative business, especially if you're acting as just extra hands.) Moving on from this, if your character did manage to find both training in magic and archery, it wouldn't have been from an expert, nor would it be extremely fast learning for her. So, 8 years of training (13 to 21) Is nowhere near enough time for her to be prepared to go out into the world to fight dragons, also without any ties or ropes she could pull in order to help her get there. AS mentioned before, she would have been fairly poor - so armour would have been fairly hard to come by, as would an enchanted bow (A bow which you haven't stated the type of - is it a hunting bow? Longbow?) So, basically; change your age (Make her older, simply for experience issues) - alter your bio (At the very least move her to a city; training and shelter is far more likely in one of the bigger places, thanks to the wider range of species there) and I'll have to say no to the magic if you want to retain your more rural setting. A Hunter is more likely to come from such a small village, as you've described. More detail in the personality, bio, and appearance (We need some more detail - height, average weight, eye colour - as the picture isn't very big). If you fix all of this, then you should be good to go. I'd recommend taking a look at some of our other character sheets, so you have an idea on hwo big and detailed it needs to be.
Just looked over your characters there Death - I love them, but I'll have to say no to your Argonian having Nightingale armour. Thieves guild armour is fine though.
