Dionisio is the older brother of Valyn Mancini and is the current patriarch of the Solae family line. His ancestors were known for their healing abilities and every member of their family had become a Healer. His father was no different and was a world renowned Healer, and his mother was a potion master. Together they ran a potion shop in the Main City where they would offer medicines to whoever seeked help. Dionisio and his sister were both raised to be Healers to follow in their parent's footsteps, and after graduating from the Academy, Dionisio did just that. However, it was hard for him to find a job in the Main City and he decided to relocate. Much to the surprise of his parents, he moved to the North and began working in the infamous labor camps as a Healer. Since the camps were actually made for labor, many people got hurt on the job and Healers were always needed. It was a hard job, many of the prisoners were convicts with an extensive criminal record or simply people who had mixed into the wrong crowd, but they all shared one thing. They were angry. Their anger was mostly directed towards the guards, and also the Royal Family for putting them there, but they tended to take out their anger on the Healers instead. Throughout the twelve years that he spent at the labor camps, Dionisio had been slashed, knifed, gutted, kicked, punched, spat on, anything you could think of. But no matter what happened, he kept his composure and never fought back, only doing the bare minimum to defend himself so he could go back to healing them.

Protector of Queen Bellona
Flaery is the Protector for Queen Bellona after retiring from being a Knight. She was born in the Under and her original name is Aurura Zolnerowich, the twin sister of Aurelia Zolnerowich. The two were separated at birth by their parents and she was raised by her mother. Before she was 3, her mother remarried a wealthy upper class woman from Above and the two moved up there to live with her. Aurura's name was changed to Aliana Motimaya and she grew up without knowing about her father and twin sister. When she was 12, Bellarose took over as Queen and Aliana's step-mother's wealth was the only thing that saved them from being thrown out into the streets. Her step-mother also held classes in secret for the children on their street, teaching them how to control their magic and new spells. Aliana was one of her best students, always eager to learn, and when Belzeneff claimed the throne and the Academy reopened years later, she was one of the first ones to apply.
After leaving the Academy 9 years later, she began her training to become a Knight. But to become a Knight, an official background check is done, and if they found out that she was born in the Under, she wouldn't be let in. But of course, she had no idea about where she was really born, so right before she applied, her mother's confessed to her about her past. When she discovered that she had a twin sister, she wanted to meet her and asked to be taken to the Under. But she only made it a few steps in before she was repealed by the absolute despair of it all and returned back to the Main City, giving up her search. But before she left, she asked around and apparently her sister was a gambler who cheated people out of their money, so Aliana decided that it was best if they hadn't met. Her mom pulled some strings to have her birth papers changed, so that it was documented that she was born in the Main City, father unknown, and that her name had been Parceline Barrastian before her mother got remarried. With that taken care of, she applied for the position of a Knight and began her apprenticeship.
She became a Knight at 57 and was stationed in a village in the South. During her stay there, she was surrounded by wild animals and she found much enjoyment watching and drawing them. She saw many species that were believed to be extinct by the citizens in the Main City and fell in love with them, donating most of her paychecks to organizations that helped preserve them. She stayed there as a Knight for the next 27 years, retired, and then stayed there for another 6 years as an animal keeper, taking care of wounded animals that she and her group found in the wild.
She returned to the Main City after hearing that her mother was sick and went to work for the Council because of the benefits her mother could receive. She was asked to apply to become a Protector though, because of her background as a Knight, and she accepted. At first she was baby Belisario's Protector, who was only one years old at the time, but her abilities were to good to be looked past. She was promoted to Bellona's side a year later and has been there ever since.
She met her husband Flarence on the job, since he was Belzeneff's Protector, and he showed her the ropes. The two got married 20 years ago and Aliana changed her name to Flaery. Because of her original assignment, she feels a special attachment to Belisario and always looks out for him.

Protector of King Belzeneff
Leondra is the sister of Pempan [originally Leocadia] and the childhood friend of Belzeneff. Her father and Belantino were good friends, so she and Belzeneff often played together as they were growing up. When Belantino was assassinated and his wife took the throne, her family relocated to the East to stay with some family there and was safe from Bellarose's evil. 9 years later, when Belzeneff killed his mother and became Prince, she and her sister returned to the Main City to see Belzeneff, while their parents remained in the East. They were unable to reunite with Belzeneff, since he was off fixing what his mother destroyed, but they stayed in the city anyway, getting jobs in the meantime. It wasn't until 7 years later did Leondra meet with Belzeneff again, and by that time, he hardly remembered her. However, Leondra was determined to stay in Belzeneff's life and met up with him occasionally, going out to dinner or to see a show. It was during one of these shows that Belzeneff met Deianria Tyyrell, a dancer who stole his attention away and Leondra became enraged. She had been in love with Belzeneff ever since they were children, and she wasn't going to let some dancer get in her way. She insulted Deianria constantly and would always find ways to break up her and Belzeneff's dates, like faking an injury and asking Belzeneff to take care of her, or getting a dark wizard to curse Deianria with bad fortune or something like that. To her horror, Deianria announced that she was pregnant with Belzeneff's child and Leondra became absolutely insane. She moved away from the Main City for a while, so that she wouldn't have to deal with Belzeneff being a father to another woman's child, and took up a job in the South.
She created an animal foundation that protected animals from going extinct, because while humans constantly let her down, animals were always there for her. But a short 9 months later, after talking with her sister who had stayed in the Main City and was very close to Belzeneff's Protector, Pemperknackle Abernathy, she was told that Deianria had been banished, along with his child. With that bitch out of the way, Leondra's anger subsided --afterall, she was never truely mad with Belzeneff, just Deianria-- and returned to the Main City, leaving her foundation in the hands of someone else. She had a fantasy of her returning to Belzeneff and finally confessing her feelings to him, getting married and having children with him and living the perfect life as Queen. But all this came crashing down when she met Valentia, Belzeneff's new love interest. And worst off, Belzeneff actually seemed to love her, instead of just a simple infatuation like with Deianria. This fit of anger sent her up to the North, where she became a patrol officer in the labor camps. On her days off, she would climb the frozen mountains and collect rare treasures from the caves, sending them back to Leocadia so that she could sell them in the City for a high profit. She also began training with her magic and hand-to-hand combat, letting out her anger through fighting. Her time in the North had turned her into a fearless warrior, and when news reached her that Belzeneff and Valentia had gotten married, she didn't even bat an eyelid.
But when word reached the North that Belzeneff had been attacked, Leondra left her job at the camp and returned to the city to be by his side. She was furious as Valiant and Pemperknackle, who had become her brother-in-law during her time in the North, for not doing their job properly. It was then that she decided that if she couldn't be married to Belzeneff, she's do the next best thing and protect him. She used all of the tricks that she learned while training in the North to earn her a Protector position, and Belzeneff instantly promoted her to his personal guard. Being in such a close proximity with him all day was like a dream come true for Leondra and she successfully managed to seduce him away from his loyalty to his wife. Their relationship was kept a secret and the only ones who knew about it was Pemperknackle and Pempan, who both had more loyalty to Belzeneff then the Queen and never told her. With Belzeneff finally at her side, Leondra's tough exterior faded and she became noticeably kinder to those around her. Even her jealousy over the Queen stopped, because while she may have had him legally, Leondra had him in private with no one around to butt into their relationship. Their secret relationship continued for the next ten years and then Leondra discovered that she was pregnant. Overjoyed at the thought of having a child with Belzeneff, even before his own wife, she retired from being his Protector and concentrated on having a safe pregnancy. Unlike Deianria, Belzeneff did not push her away and even gave her a better house than the one she lived in before, closer to the castle and furnished with luxurious items. Of course, all this was kept from the Queen and the public.
His second son, Beleon Black, was born but was documented as Leon Cherie, to avoid getting found out. Leondra raised him by herself, using the money she had saved up from her time as a Protector, and Belzeneff even helped out sometimes. He came to visit them at least twice a month, telling his wife that he was going to a different city for political reasons. Leondra thought it was perfect, even if she hadn't become Queen, because she still had Belzeneff's child. All this changed, however, when the Queen gave birth to the twins, Belzeneff's first legitimate heirs and his visits became less frequent, more preoccupied with his new children rather than Leondra's son. 2 years after the birth of the twins, Leondra was kicked out of the city by Demetrios, who was concerned that her jealousy would get in the way and that she would end up telling someone about her son's true parentage. She pleaded with Belzeneff to let her stay, that she wouldn't say anything, but Belzeneff ignored her and let Demetrios' men physically drag her and Beleon out of the city.
Leondra and her son returned to the animal reserve in the South and he grew up there. But after Belzeneff threw her away, Leondra changed for the worst and became much more strict towards her son and even beat him a couple of times. As soon as he was old enough to take care of himself, Leondra left him at the reserve and moved away without telling anyone where she was going. She thought about going back to the Main City, but instead, she moved the West and became a Hunter, tracking down legendary creatures and killing them, selling their skins and meat in the Underground markets. She didn't return to the Main City until years later, surprised to find that her son had become a Knight and went under a new name, Paravel Barrastian. She made him swear to never talk to her in public and from then on, they were strangers to one another. That was the last time that she talked to her son, because he died 6 years later at the tender age of 41. She didn't attend his funeral and never mentioned him again after that.
She became one of Belzeneff's Protectors again 25 years ago. She joined the unit again though the Council and since they never put her name on the exile list, she was rehired and Pemperknackle helped her arrange a private meeting with Belzeneff. He was surprised to see her again and thought she was there to reveal his illegitimate child to everyone, but she wasn't. Despite everything, she still only had nothing but love for Belzeneff and promised that if she became his Protector again, she would give his life to him. She became his Protector at age 100, 5 years before her son's death. She never talked about him and Belzeneff never asked about him, so they both don't say anything about their son Beleon.
She remains fiercely loyal to the King and still has her jealousy towards the Queen.
STANNIS DEGENESIS

Grand Cross of the Knights
Stannis is the highest ranking Knight in the division, which also means that he is their leader. He assumed the rank of Grand Cross when he was only 60 years old and can be considered a prodigy for his talent with magic. With his position, he also serves as an unofficial sixth(counting Kyuberos) Protector to Belzeneff and if the King is in danger, Stannis will almost definitely be by his side. Despite supporting Belzeneff's unfair ways, Stannis is a firm supporter of justice. Only, his form of 'justice' is whatever laws that Belzeneff has made, so its no wonder that it's so screwed up. But in spite of all that, Stannis believes that what he is doing is the right thing. He is also very deeply religious and wears a symbol of Oz around his neck for protection. His deep religious beliefs are probably why he's so dedicated to Belzeneff in the first place, since he is the only one who can talk to Oz.
Personality wise, Stannis is overall a very kind soul and will not harm others unless he is threatened, or in his line of work. He is also very gullible and will believe anything Belzeneff tells him, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. He is polite to everyone, regardless of social status, and is very formal to those older than him. In all probability, he is Wiz's oldest virgin. He took an oath of celibacy at the age of 31 when he became a Knight and has honored it ever since. He gets flustered at the mere mention of anything intimate, even hugging.

Protector Director
Jenessa is the Director of the Protector unit and has been ever since the death of the last Director 33 years ago. She's ultimately the one who assigns Protectors to their charge and handles everything from complaints to reassignments to unit inspection personally. Of course she has others working under her to handle the small stuff, but every decision goes through her and doesn't pass until she says so. Shes good friends with the King and has literally made it her job to make sure that he and his family are well protected. She also has very good working relationships with the other Leaders of the divisions like Pemperknackle, Judiceal and Stannis. They all work together to keep Wiz safe and under control so its important that they keep in touch often. She's promoted a number of Valiant's children faster then most Protectors, not out of favoritism, but because she knows they have the potential some of the other ones don't. It's believed that Oz has granted the descendants of the 5 ((excluding Thanatos)) generals with great power, and she relied on that fact when assigning the Royal Protectors.
When Belzeneff reclaimed the throne and became Prince, she was an up and coming Protector who excelled in fire magic. Her potential with the element was unlimited and the late Director saw that and assigned her to Belzeneff. She joined Pemperknackle as his Protector and Valiant came in 4 years later. She felt left out sometimes, being the only girl in a group of three guys. Not to mention that they were all descendants of the founders of Wiz and she was nothing but a simple commoner. But Pemperknackle and Valiant made sure that she knew that she was important to the group and invited her to their guy time on their days off. It was surprising that she and Belzeneff never struck up a relationship, based on his lecherous attitude towards women, but the two never became anything more than friends. The same can't be said about Valiant however, whom Jenessa felt an attraction to since their first meeting. She was drawn in by his beauty but never asked him out in fear that it would ruin their working relationship. But they were young ((all four of them were, really)) and their hormones could only be controlled for so long before they threw themselves at each other. They began dating around the time Pemperknackle and Leocadia and Belzeneff and Leondra did, so they would sometimes triple date. Their relationship never got in the way of their work and they did a pretty good job of separating the two. Pemperknackle and Belzeneff thought it was cute that they finally got together and supported them. They dated for about 20 years, which seems long, but most of it was simple cohabitation than blistering romance. Because of their positions as Protectors they agreed not to start a family until Belzeneff didn't need them as much, but that time never came around and they found themselves prolonging their future together because of higher priorities. They broke up a year before Valiant lost his eye but continued to remain friends, Pemperknackle making sure that their past didn't effect their work.
When Valiant lost his eye and left being Belzeneff's Protector, she felt sad but was also happy that he was starting a new chapter of his life. She even congratulated him when he told them about the beautiful Healer who tended to him after the attack and she encouraged him to ask her out. Before he officially retired, the three came together one final time and created Kyuberos to act as Belzeneff's Protector in Valiant's absence. This was unneeded though, when a blast from the past showed up and Leondra joined them as a Protector. But Jenessa didn't stay for long after Valiant's departure because she found herself pregnant and immediately retired for the safety of her unborn child. She had saved up enough money during her time as a Protector to buy an apartment in the City and support herself and her child.
She gave birth to her son months later and became a stay at home mom. She raised Jenissi all by herself, leaving the father undocumented on the birth certificate and never dated long enough to get married. She continued to practice her magic, just so she wouldn't get rusty, and taught it to her son once he was old enough. She decided to go back to work once Jenissi entered school and Pemperknackle helped her get a job in the Protector unit. She worked her way through the ranks over the years and when the Director passed away, she was named his replacement. Her new job earned her the big bucks and she and her son moved into a larger home. She still resides there, even after Jenissi moved out, and has turned most of it into a public art museum for anyone to visit. She lives on the top floor while the ground floor is the museum.
DEMARCUS LUTECE

Demarcus was the advisor to the previous king, Belantino Black, and helped him rule during the short 25 years that he was on the throne. It's questionable whether or not he was in love with the King, but Demarcus devoted most of his life to Belantino and his son, Belzeneff. He was completely devastated over Belantino's death and swore to get revenge against Bellarose. During her nine year reign, Demarcus focused on raising and looking after Belzeneff, making sure to fulfill his last promise to Belantino and keep an eye on him. When one of his spies informed him about Bellarose's plan to exile Belzeneff, he saw it as a chance to get his revenge and told Belzeneff. It took some time, and an almost beheading, for Belzeneff to believe him, but eventually he did when Demetrios, Demarcus' son, brought him the blueprints of her plans. The rest is history.
In the present day, Demarcus enjoys retirement on an island far away from the Main City. It was given to him by Belantino as a thank you gift right before he died, so Demarcus cherishes it always. He still visits the castle sometimes, if only to bring a gift or to check up on his son. He remains a mystery to most of the castle staff, especially considering that his appearance has remained the same for the past 145 years, ever since he first appeared as Belantino's advisor. No one knows where he came from or how he even met Belantino in the first place, or even who the mother of his son is.
DEMETRIOS LUTECE

Demetrios is the advisor to the current king, Belzeneff Black, and helped him rule ever since he was crowned king. He was raised by his father and one of the first things he learnt was to love the royal family. It had always been Demarcus' intention for his offspring to serve the royal family after retiring, so it was no surprise when Demetrios became Belzeneff's advisor. He and the King are exactly ten years apart, just like Demarcus and Belantino were, so Demetrios has been looking after him for all of his life.
He even went as far as to raise the rebellious Belladon when no one else could control him. He in no way saw Belladon as a son or an apprentice, but rather like a chore to complete, which he did.
ANGELEXIS APOLLOS || AMESHA PAHALIAH

Angelexis is a born resident of the Under. He grew up with his mother in a sectioned off community of the underground city, where your safety was better guaranteed than the other areas, but it came with a high price. His mother had come into a large amount of money after her parents passed and she used that to insure the safety of her and her son. Thanks to her, Angelexis was able to grow up without living in fear or being afraid that he would get attacked for just walking down the street. If he ever left the house, that is. Even as a kid, Angelexis stayed away from kids his age and prefered the company of books instead. He collected a rather large library over the years, but eventually he ran out of books to read. Seeing this, his mother told him that there was an abandoned library nearby and if he wanted some new reading material, he should start there. Angelexis was always interested when there was learning involved so he and his mother ventured out to the library that wasn't too far from their house. The gated community was located on the very edge of The Under, where no one ever went, so it wasn't a surprise that the library was abandoned too. Amerii broke the locks on the door and kept watch at the entrance while Angelexis went inside to look for some new books. The library was full of books that had been banned over the years, whether they contained false information or promoted anything other than Wiz's lifestyle, like the human world. During the first few years of it's creation, it was heavily guarded to prevent thieves from stealing the books and selling at the market, but as time passed, it became less and less of a priority. Amerii father had been the keykeeper of the library and when he died it passed on to his daughter, which was how she opened the doors in the first place.
It was here that he came across a book about the ancient art of alchemy. Like magic, alchemy was used to change the basic components of an object into something else completely. Fascinated, Angelexis took every book that talked about the ancient art and took it home. He dove headfirst into this new form of magic and begged his mother to buy him the materials needed for some of the recipes. His first successful alchemization was turning water into wine, and later, silver in gold. Although astounded by his achievements, Amerii never revealed it to the public, afraid about what the people of the Under would do with this new found revelation. To insure her son's safety once more, she constructed a lab underneath their house and made it so that he would never need to leave, successfully keeping him out of the public eye.
Angelexis has continued his alchemic research throughout the years and has completed many other transmutations, even going as far as creating some of his own. He still lives at home with his mother and remains in his basement, entirely committed to his work. His lack of social interaction as a child has left his emotionally stunted and he struggles to develop emotional attachments to other people. The only person he cares for is his mother and he would feel atleast some remorse if she ever left him or died. With everyone else, he keeps them at an arms length away at all times and views them as one would view an experiment. He has more emotional attachment to the wild test animals roaming his home than actual human beings, but he doesn't have a problem communicating with others.
Angelexis' father is the great rebel leader Seraphion but he feels no familial connection with him. He would stop by during moments of his childhood, but didn't stay long enough for Angelexis to care about him. But that doesn't mean that he isn't willing to help with the rebellion and helps out Seraphion whenever he has questions for him, or an assignment. His birth name is Angelexis Apollos and that is what he goes by, but if he's publishing a book of his own or anything concerning his work, he'll use the name Amesha Pahaliah so he's not traced back to his famous brother Angelic.
