Nychta smiled relieved when the youngster followed her into the deeper part of the den. The cosy warmth of the fire in the cave embued them as they neared it, the padding under their paws quickly sinking into the comfortable furs on the ground. She smiled at the pup as she sat down on the furs near the fire and looked at her. 'Come closer doll, you must be tired, being out there on your own. Hungry as well, am I right?' she suggested. 'Do you want to talk first or shall I go catch you some food?' she asked her in a soft, friendly tone.
Menuo yelped in surprise when the bear shot out of the bushes. The other wolf in front of them attacked, but the bear was still standing. Her guards snarled in a hollow tone and shot forward, one biting down on the bear's throat and the other on it's side.

Nychta looked down at the little cub when she spoke, her harsh look softening. 'Shh.. now is not the time, little one.' she mumbled under her breath so the new wolf wouldn't hear them. 'We mean you no harm, but we don't know him, we don't know how he is. Play along for now, yes?' she whispered softly.
She gestured at the back of the cave where the softer parts were. 'Come with me if you wish to talk freely.' she moved towards the back of the cave, looking back at the pup to see if she would follow.
