Eve dropped Tippetarius and covered her ears. She glared up at Livid annoyed. She realized she could still move so she knew she wasn't going all out on this. Eve started looking around for better way to get higher when she spotted Marlin. The sonic boom he caused, caught in Livid’s throat and made her cough.
“Marlin!” Eve ran over to Marlin and saw that he was out cold. She noticed the instant bruising all over his arm and she bit her lip in anger.
“Awe man looks like Kitty Cat couldn't handle his own attack!” Livid started laughing, she could barely stay on her board. She ended up just laying on it as it floated around in the air.
“You stupid little brat!” Eve slammed her foot down on the ground as hard as she could, using her semblance to jump higher kicked off the building and went straight for Livid.
“Whoa there Shooting Star!" Livid noticed last minute and moved just out of the range of her kick. “What it's not like I did anything!” Livid shrugged with a smirk. Eve landed by Tippetarius and without missing a beat she tucked her foot underneath one half and kicked it up in the air to grab it. She quickly turned and did the same with the other half. She put them together and opened it to it's fullest capacity and threw the round blade up at Livid. While she was distracted with dodging it she didn't see that Eve had jumped up just behind it. Eve kicked her off her board. Livid hit the ground hard. Eve grabbed her fan and threw it at Livid. Livid put her arm up and her bracelet lit up. Her hoverboard came around wide and the fan bounced off it instead of hitting Livid. Eve dashed forward snatching her fan out of the air closing it and using it as a staff. Livid switched into her bat and blocked each hit of Eve's staff, but Eve was going so fast it was growing overwhelming.

Eve and Yoki killed a lot of time talking with Hansa. It was getting rather late and the kid grew tired. They said goodbye for the night and left, heading for downtown.
“He’s a good kid,” Yoki sighed. “He didn't deserve what that jerk did to him.”
“At least we are able to help him,” Eve had a bit more pep in her step. “Hopefully Rhythm will help look out for him.”
“You sure that's a good idea?” Yoki asked.
“Yeah it'll be fine,” Eve waved it off. “I'm just worried someone might try and come after him. Be it the creep in the hat or someone in the White Fang. At least Rhythm is capable of being responsible when he wants to be.”
“Hey Stardust!” Livid jumped down from above transforming her board into a bat and swinging it right at Eve. It bounced right off her and caused Livid to go flying backwards with just as much force.
“Liv, you have fought me enough why do you even bother?” Eve looked up at her annoyed.
“What the hell happened to your hair?!” Livid started floating around on her hoverboard again. “It's hideous!”
"I know!" Eve cried.
“Where's your brother?” Yoki growled. “We need to talk to him.”
“Tch, I ain't tellin’!” Livid shrugged. “Who in their right mind would want to talk with some Huntsmen that thinks they are all that? Especially if you could fight them instead!” Livid dove down aiming her board at Yoki. Eve stepped in and made sure the board collided with her to knock Livid back.
“You're on,” Eve smirked and looked over her shoulder at Yoki as she grabbed both halves of Tippetarius. “I got this! You go see if you can find Rhythm, maybe he can put an end to her madness.”
“Try and beat some sense into her anyways,” Yoki voiced bitterly as he ran off.
“Did I say you could leave?!” Livid took a deep breath but before she could do anything Eve launched a huge wave of Wind Dust up at her, knocking her off balance. “One on one is cool too,” Livid shrugged as she regained her balance. “Ready to get the snot beat out of you, Stardust?!" She dove for Eve again.
“What are you? Ten?” Eve scoffed as she jumped out of the way. “Besides since when have you ever beat me?”
“I have you beat in style!” Livid picked up speed, circling back and hitting Eve with her board and using as a momentum boost.
“Really because that outfit screams trying too hard,” Eve started moving out of her way picking up on what she was trying to do. Livid switched back into the bat and fired a few shotgun blasts at Eve. Eve wasn't even phased. The blasts bounced right off her. Still moving with momentum from before Livid swung the bat and bounced right off her, yet again. “Force doesn't cut it you know!” Eve growled in annoyance.
“Maybe not on you!” Livid laughed as she collided her board with a tree on the street. It started falling until Livid got under the tree and used her board to launch it towards Eve with incredible speed. Eve couldn't dodge it by the time she realized, so she split the tree down the middle. As soon as she did Livid was on top of her, letting out a scream.
Hansa was a bit bored just lying around most of the day. He really wanted to get up and move about but he couldn't. Doctors kept moving in and out of the room. Apparently he was helping a bit faster than one normally would with an amputation. At least that's what he heard among the whisperings outside his room. It caused him to think that his new future would be upon him sooner than he thought. He still wasn't sure what it would be. He joined the White Fang because he wanted to make the world a better place for Rose, turned out the new leadership made it worse.
Hansa sighed and looked out the window. He knew a normal life wasn't his style. His mind went to the ones that saved him. “A Huntsman…” When he said it aloud is seemed right. He remembered hearing stories around his village of huntsman and mistresses. How they would protect people not only from Grimm but various other dangers in the world. People, corruption, the darkness in people's hearts. True warriors that could fight almost anything. “Maybe that's it…”
“Coming up with some revelation?” Eve caught the last half of what he said as she walked in.
“Eve!” Hansa beamed upon seeing her.
“Good news!” Eve sat on the bed next to him. “Seems Diana has hooked you up with a set of Atlesian prosthetics. They should be here tomorrow!”
“Wow really?!” Hansa lit up even more. “That's awesome!”
“Also from what I hear, you are healing at a remarkable rate. Seems you might be up and walking here soon. It's a bit odd I was wondering if your semblance had anything to do with it.”
“No, it doesn't really work that way. I can change the size of wounds but it doesn't change the rate of healing.” Hansa shrugged. “I don't know what's causing it.” Eve leaned in close and looked at him carefully. It unsettled him a bit. “What…?”
“Eve stop glaring at the poor kid,” Yoki walked into the room with a plate. “You're making him nervous.”
“I'm not glaring!” Eve looked over her shoulder at him. “I was trying g to analyze his aura.” She huffed and crossed her arms, “I'm not very good at it but I think some of Marlin’s is still there.”
“That could be it,” Yoki shrugged. “Let's ask him later.” He set the plate of food down on the table by Hansa. “Here kid, have something better than hospital food. I went and borrowed their oven, so it should be pretty hot.”
“I could message him. Oh!” Eve remembered she got a new scroll for Hansa too. She pulled it out and handed it to Hansa, “This is yours!” He took it and looked over the new scroll. “I had transferred all the stuff not related to the White Fang to it so that way your fresh start has no trace of them.”
“About that…” Hansa paused, his expression turned gloomy, filled with uncertianty. Eve and Yoki exchanged glances of concern but didn't say anything. “I think… No,” Hansa took a deep breath and shook his head. He looked at Eve with a determined smile, “I want to become a Huntsman!”
“Well that's good because your first term at Beacon starts in a month and a half,” Eve smirked.
“What?!” Hansa was confused. “I thought there'd be more testing or something.”
“Ozpin already extended invitation,” Eve stated. “He doesn't do that for just anyone. You're special, Hansa.”
“This is all moving so fast,” Hansa felt nervous. “Wait, will I even be able to attend that soon?”
“Well if your rate of healing keeps up like this the doctors say you will be walking in just a few more days,” Eve explained. “You might have ended up waiting for next semester otherwise. But if you'd rather wait you can.”
“No it's fine,” Hansa waved his hands. “Just quite a bit to get used to. I just wish I could share this with my sister.”
“Tell us about her!” Eve settled in a bit more on the bed. “Where did you guys live?”
“Anima,” Hansa had a sad smile on his face. “We lived in the small village, Azalea, not too far from Mistral. Our parents died when we were pretty young. We managed to get by for a while on our own. It didn't last long. Rose is blind. You wouldn't know it by the way she moves. Such a sweet girl. I should have listened to her when she told me not to join.”
“Sounds like a smart girl,” Yoki smirked.
Hansa looked through the pictures Eve had transferred to his scroll and found one of Rose to show them. “This is her.”
“She’s so cute,” Eve smiled. “I promise we'll bring her back safe and sound!”
“I just wish I could come with,” Hansa pouted and his ears drooped.
“I told you, didn't I?” Yoki crossed his arms. “You need to focus on recovering!”
“Especially if you are going to attend Beacon,” Eve agreed. "You'll want to be in tip top shape!"
“Be a bit selfish for once,” Yoki raised his voice.
“Alright, I get it!” Hansa laughed.

Eve was looking forward to venturing out on a proper mission with her new team tomorrow. She kept thinking about it as she was finishing up her cleaning. She was trying to think of strategies and such to use during combat but wasn't very confident in her ability to. She knew Yoki's tactics and abilities well. She was starting to get a grip on Marlin’s fighting style rather well as unique as it was. With Diana, Eve felt she'd only scratched the surface of what she could really do. Part of her wanted to be nosy and ask Ironwood about her but she wanted Diana to open up on her own.
“You doing alright?” Yoki leaned on the door frame to the small room that was soon to be Hansa's.
“Great actually,” Eve smiled putting the last of her son's things into a box. “I really needed this. I feel I can move on now, from all of it. We have a new team now so I can't have anything holding me back, especially as leader!”
“Yeah,” Yoki had a faint smile on his face. He still wasn't pleased about the idea but it was helping her a lot already. “Need any help?”
“I finished packing things up.” Eve placed her hands on her hips and looked over the boxes, “Help me take these down to the shed outside. I'll keep these two in the house though, just in case weather gets to them.”
“You aren't going to get rid of anything?” Yoki shoved off the wall and grabbed a box.
“Not yet,” Eve grabbed one as well. “I want to go through it more when we have the time we what is better to give away or toss and whatnot.” Eve bounced down the steps with a smile. “I really only want to keep some of it.”
“Yeah I guess we still have quite a bit to do before we leave tomorrow,” Yoki thought aloud. “By the way, I thought I'd see if Rhythm was playing anywhere tonight so we might find the T’weeds easier. Looked it up and he'll be at a club downtown later tonight.”
“Perfect! When we are done here we'll go hang with Hansa for a bit and the go have a chat with Rhythm! And... I guess... Livid…” Eve was very much not looking forward to meeting Livid. She hoped they would just see Rhythm but they would both be useful about now.

“You drink too much,” Eve laughs lightheartedly as she scooped up some of the last bit of chicken that escaped her sandwich with a chip. It didn't bother her though. She worked with Qrow on occasion so it's not like she wasn't used to it. She stood up and grabbed Marlin’s plate and took them into the kitchen. She spotted that there was some leftover. “You made extra?”
“Thought we could take some to the kid later,” Yoki shrugged finishing off his sandwich. “Better than any of that hospital food.”
“This is true,” Eve laughed. “I'll try and hurry. If anything we can talk to Rhythm tomorrow.”
“I'll help you out after I clean up my mess.” Yoki set his plate in the sink. “Clearing out your son's room I'm guessing?”
“Yeah,” Eve ducked out the back door to go get some extra storage.

“Fine,” Yoki sighed getting ready to tell the story. “After my village was wiped out I decided to head to one of the major cities. I hadn't a clue which way to go. It was smack dab in the middle of Sanus so I could easily have ended up in either Vale or Vaccuo.” Yoki took a small bite of food so that it wouldn't be annoying to talk. “I was starving and I ended up coming across some weird house in the middle of the forest. I was hit on the back of the head and knocked out. I woke up in the house but it had some crazy security system that was completely locked down. No way to get out. I was trapped and I wasn't alone. Some crazy woman that called herself Duchess and her kid Kobi. Duchess kept insisting that outside was dangerous and she found me after stocking up for the year since it locked down for that long. Supposedly wanted to protect me too,” Yoki did air quotes. “But really she wanted someone else to torture because Kobi got pretty good at hiding in the house. Unfortunately for her I quickly got the hang of invisibility.” Yoki smirked. “She used to throw things to try and find me. It was kind of funny,” Yoki chuckled but his expression turned a bit dower shortly after. “I'd take some hits for the kid though, he was only five. I wanted to save him and fighting back only seemed to make it worse. I asked her one day what it would take for us to leave. She said to cook better than she could. To make her cry in happiness from a bite. I had no idea how to cook so I started watching her in the kitchen because if there was one thing that was good from that crazy woman it was her food. It was good training for my semblance too. When she'd sleep I'd test things out with the kid. I didn't quite get on her level in that year but turns out some good flavor to hide extra pepper was all we needed.” Yoki smiled mischievously with his accomplishment. “Cheap trick but it got us out of there.”
“I can't help but laugh thinking of her trying to throw stuff to find you.” Eve giggled.
“I used to make noise and move quickly just to mess with her,” Yoki smirked. “It was hilarious.”
“You know you don't tell that as good as you used to,” Eve pouted with a mouthful of food.
“Well sorry I've gotten a bit more precise in my storytelling,” Yoki retorted with a scoff.

&

Yoki put the chicken mixture in a bun and melted some cheese on top. Serving them up with some of the potato chips. “Wait no more!” Yoki handed the other two their plates.
“Yes!” Eve cheered as she settled on the couch and dug in. “This is so good!” Eve voiced with her mouth full. “Ah! Hey Yoki! Tell Marlin the story on how you learned to cook!”
“Do I have to? You always make me tell it,” Yoki sighed, nibbling on a chip.
“It's because it's interesting and weird!” Eve leaned forward. “Also I like hearing about it.”
“Oh please it's not that weird,” Yoki huffed.

&

“Seems she's got you too, pal,” Yoki huffed taking the chicken mixture off the burner. “How'd you know he'd stay down here?”
“I had a hunch but I also had a plan if he didn't!” Eve knelt on the couch and leaned on the bar, happily nibbling on the pineapple. She glanced over at Marlin when he asked her progress. “Almost done but not quite. Needed a few more boxes from the shed out back but since food seems like it's almost done I'll wait until after!”
Yoki noticed she was surprisingly happy for clearing out the room that used to be her son's. He was starting to realize she was a bit more like her old self. Seems like this Hansa kid is just what she needed, Yoki thought.
“Gosh it smells so good!” Eve melted on the bar. “Yoki here always makes the best food!” She mentioned to Marlin. “I've yet to find anything I like better than his cooking!”

“Perhaps so…” Yoki poured in the marinade to let it boil off and add more flavor. He was starting to feel a bit selfish. He'd always taken this task on his own because the one person he'd turn to was who he needed to keep out of it. The task was daunting enough some help wouldn't be so bad. The Huntsman in him wanted to help Marlin out with his, maybe it would turn out better than Eve's missing kid. “You know what? Why not. You help me and I'll help you. Even if this team thing is a bust. Deal?”

Eve neatly stacked all the drawings on the desk. All the shelves were cleared out and the clothes that didn't look like they'd fit Hansa were cleared out of the closet. She'd realized she didn't have enough boxes upstairs to store everything and she started to smell the food. She was also wondering how those two were getting along.
As she crept down the stairs to get a feel for the mood she found while it was a bit heavy the two sounded like they were getting along somewhat. “Haha! My plan worked perfectly!” Eve smirked bouncing off the bottom step.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Yoki looked over at her annoyed after taking out the potatoes.
“You always loosen up in the kitchen so I thought it'd be good for you nuts to chat a bit!” Eve giggled.
