I think the only other thing is where they'll be staying along the way? Are they sleeping in the car, or would they have money set aside for motels/hotels?

Other than that, I think we're good to go! :)
Right, exactly! So he's got incentive to stick it out and they'll have their moment when all the secrets come out.

Awesome :) I'm just trying to plan a map in my head, haha. So, we'll start them off in Florida, and then maybe send them up the east coast, maybe back down through the south or across through the midwest (even though there isn't a ton to do there). Part of me thinks Norris would really dig New York, and because Cara has moved around so much, maybe she could sort of be like a little tour guide.
No, it's all good, haha. It was just a misunderstanding on my part and I'm very happy with my characters. Everything you wrote was also fine with me, and I didn't have a problem planning mine. I think the majority of their personalities are going to come from the story itself.

That's what I was thinking too! Him surviving is going to create new hurdles as well, like hospital bills and recovery in general. I need to do some research about cancer and make sure I know what I'm going to be writing about. I was also thinking, just for the conflict, maybe along the way they could go into one of the towns and we could have the cliche jealousy going on with locals hitting on the girls?

Where did you want to start them off, btw? I was thinking somewhere along the east coast, like Florida or North Carolina, maybe New Jersey or a suburb in New York? and then where do you want them to go and end up?
Name: Cara Ashley Lucas
Age: Eighteen
Appearance:

History:
Cara is an only child and is often referred to as the only positive thing to come from her parents marriage. As a young girl, she and her family moved around a lot for her father's job, which never allowed her to make and keep many friends. School was hard for her then, especially because she was always the new kid and struggling to fit into communities where the children her age had already known each other all their lives. Because of this, Cara retreated into herself, becoming somewhat shy and reserved. It was hard for her to open up to anyone, and she never wanted to bother because at the end of the school year, she would just have to go somewhere else.

That all changed when Cara's mother and father divorced and she chose to live with her mother, who moved back to her hometown to be closer to family. Cara had just finished middle school at the time and although she was sad that she wouldn't get to see her father as much, and that everything she knew had essentially vanished from her life, she was excited about being able to stay in one place and possibly make some real friends.

It was the first day of freshman year that Cara met Elissa Danvers, and everything changed from there. Elissa was the sister that Cara had never had and always wanted, and she never imagined that friendship could be so easy. For the first time, she had a best friend, someone who had her back, someone who actually wanted to be there for her. It was strange, new and fantastic.

Knowing Elissa opened all kinds of new doors for Cara, and made way for more friends, but as high school drug on, she found herself hanging out with Elissa's brother and his friend Norris more often than anything. In a way, Cara could say that she had always found Caleb handsome, and he had the type of personality that made Cara gravitate toward him. She supposed that it was only natural that through the years, she developed a little crush on him. That was the first thing she had ever hidden from Elissa, though, mostly because she worried about the reaction of her best friend and didn't want to lose her over some crush.

The second thing she hid from Elissa was actually dating Caleb. Somehow, he shared her feelings and Cara was weak to resist being with him. However, she made him swear not to tell Elissa, saying that they would find a way to tell her together if it worked out, if it was actually serious. Months later, they're still together and with the road trip coming out, Cara can't help but worry that things are going to come out.

Name: Norris Nicholas Wilde
Age:: Eighteen
Appearance:

History:
Norris had never cared much for popularity, it just sort of fell into his lap one day. He was an outgoing person, friendly and witty in a dry sort of way that happened to impress people around him, and apparently, that earned him a lot of friends. That was all well and good, Norris did enjoy a party every now and then, and a cute girl to pay attention to, but he slowly began to realize that most of the friendships he'd made were terribly superficial and needed to be let go. Narrowing his social circle was surprisngly easy for Norris and that was how he started to hang out with Caleb Danvers more than anyone else.

Getitng closer to Caleb brought Norris closer to his sister, Elissa, and her friend, Cara and the last few years of high school boiled down to the four of them hanging out pretty much every night. It was those long nights together that finally made Norris notice Elissa and he couldn't help but fall for her rather quickly after that. The only thing that ever stopped him from going after her was her boyfriend, Jack. He was a terrible guy, someone that Norris had actually used to hang around. Norris knew what he was like with girls, but he never warned Elissa about it, thinking she needed to make up her own mind, and alongside that, he didn't want to be meddling for the wrong reasons.

Eventually, Jack showed his true colors and hit Elissa and Norris was there to stop him when he tried to do it again. There was always a bit of regret inside of him for not warning Elissa, though, and that has been something that he's kept to himself ever since she started to look at him differently. It had all happened so fast, really, and they went from friends to more in a matter of months. He was happy with her, honestly in love and things couldn't have been better for him.

Through all of this happiness, there was something a little darker lurking in the back of Norris's mind. Things had started innocently enough, a headache here or there, a ringing in his ears when he sat up too quickly, some double vision after staring at a book too long; things that could easily be explained away. Then there were a few nose bleeds and finally a seizure that prompted his mother to take him to emergency one night. There were a battery of expensive tests after that and doctors speculating about what could be wrong; a tumor, cancer, a virus. Norris didn't know what was wrong, and he didn't want to, he thought that maybe if he ignored it, whatever was wrong would just go away.

All through this time, Norris failed to tell Caleb, Cara and even Elissa about what was going on and he had no immediate plans to clue them in, especially with the road trip coming up. It was probably one of the last things he was going to do before whatever was wrong finally took hold of him, and he wanted to have a good time with the people he cared for most.
Hope everything that I wrote was okay and sorry for the wait! Also, I realized that in my last message to you, I was confused about who I was playing and thought I was going to be the sister, so I'm sorry if I came off like a jerk about the last name thing!

I also had a thought that when the group reaches their last state (maybe California?), Norris takes a turn for the worse and ends up in the hospital out there where he finally has to tell everyone what's going on, or before he gets really sick, he tells them and then has an episode. I kind of don't want him to die, but I'm curious about where you want to go with this.
Character sheets to come! :)
No problem at all :)

And thanks for letting me know! Have fun!
Character sheets and plotting to come :)
I also feel like I should re-read it, haha.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I feel like we could alter the ending to our advantage depending on what we want to do. Wasn't Snow sick? I wouldn't mind us keeping him around because he was, weirdly enough, one of my favorite characters, and he never did lie to Katniss. Maybe he wouldn't lie to Prim and Gale as well if she's missing, or incapacitated to a point? Coin, we could keep alive. Maybe she fled back to 13 where she's got some kind of plan to take control of Panem? These are just ideas off the top of my head, we don't have to use them.
That's fine :) I was thinking he could accompany her on her walk since her Ghost Hunter ways aren't going to work. If you want, I could add on a bit where she walks away from him?
I assumed that she would be able to touch him since they're our pairing, but if not, then I'll go back and edit it. I hope you got a kick out of Erin's lame Ghost Hunter tactics :P
