Maybe Prim can give Gale something before the Reaping since he gave something to her? Or it would be kind of cute if his little sister gave him something when the family comes to say goodbye. As for Haymitch, I think I can come up with something sentimental from his mother that he took with him the first time. He might consider it lucky. And yep, that sounds good to me :3

I don't think they would have time for that. Every map I've seen on Panem has put the Capitol out west with 12 in various places along the east coast. If we wanted to include the bombing and still have them aim for 11 to connect with Rue's family while going through 4 for Finnick, they would get to 12 way after it was hit.
With the addition of doctor Tomlin, the hospital had officially become too strange. James had been expecting to meet a few character that day, after all, it was New York and personalities in the city were often large and over the top, but there was something malicious about the people who frequented this building. The young doctor couldn't exactly put his finger on it, but the uneasy feeling that sat in the pit of his stomach had his fight or flight response going crazy. He wanted to run away, forget about the paper work and the years of school and just...leave. That was the simple solution, at least, the safe solution to whatever mess James had gotten himself into by not agreeing to change the surgery time himself. Backing down had seemed cowardly at the time, but perhaps James should have thought twice about whose toes he stepped on.

The older man's request caught James off guard, and suddenly, he was a little worried for Gabriel as well. It was obvious that doctor Tomlin didn't like the other man, and grudgingly tolerated him at best. The blond man was curious about what had gone on between doctors Morris and Tomlin, who had crossed who and ended up with the short end of the stick, but he didn't dare ask. In fact, the less he knew, the better off he would be if the hospital was as sinister as its staff was making it out to be.

“I'll send him along, doctor,” James nodded, easily complying with the request. He knew that he would have to go down to Elizabeth's room to fetch Gabriel, the very place he wanted to avoid for obvious reasons. As Tomlin walked away, James was quick to press the call button for the elevator, ready to get off of that floor as soon as possible.

After the elevator had come to rest, the doors parted and James stepped inside, pressing the number on the keypad for the appropriate floor. He was alone in the elevator, thankful for the silence and the inability for anyone else to surprise him with a strange conversation. James ran a hand through his hair and rubbed at the back of his neck, feeling the tension in the muscles. He was normally so relaxed and easy-going but this upcoming surgery and the people involved had him on edge. He was ready to assist and get it over with.

Exiting the elevator, James walked down to Elizabeth's room, already able to hear Robert's angry and distraught voice. He took a deep breath and entered the room, seeing that Gabriel looked ready to end his bad news.

“Him!” Robert shouted, pointing to James. “He's the one who said we could do it tonight! After her parents got here! Don't you people have any decency?”

James felt sick and oddly betrayed. This was the very scenario he hadn't wanted to deal with, and now because of doctor Tomlin, he had to face the wrath of Robert Charles. The apologetic look on James' face was sincere, but he doubted that matter much to the man. “Sir,” he said, holding up his hands, “I'm very sorry. Sometimes, things just can't wait.”

Robert went off on another tangent, but cooled and slumped down into his seat with his head in his hands. James frowned, feeling lower than low. He looked over to Gabriel and nodded toward the hallway, needing a word. After, he left the room to wait for the other man and leaned against the wall. When Gabriel appeared, James wasted no time on relaying the other doctor's request. “Richard told me to let you know that he wants to see you before the surgery. He said it would be quick, five minutes tops.” James could have easily left it at that, but he didn't trust Tomlin one bit. “He warned me about you, by the way—said you're offensive or something.” The ton of his voice indicated that he didn't believe it. “So, I hope it's nothing serious.”
Alright then. I'll get to work on something ,saaaay, Tuesday night if no one else shows up? I don't want to stop people from putting in apps if I post a new CS too early. And I'll get my first IC up ASAP.
Guess not I:

What golden thingy? A token? Whatever you think is best c: I like to be surprised. Once we get to the Reaping, I think this will flow a lot more naturally and we won't have to worry about whether or not we're pacing things correctly. I think Prim and Katniss will be stronger together after they make up, but man, Prim is going to feel awful. First she yelled at her sister and then she didn't tell her shit about the plan. She's going to be pretty low, especially after the plan goes belly up because then she'll be worried about Peeta as well. Haymitch and Katniss sexual tension is good. I imagine there will be some protective cuddling on that first night outside of the arena, even if Katniss is mad at Haymitch.

And yes, I think we agreed that they would meet up not long after escaping and then make their way through the districts in disguise back to 12? None of them are going to know about the bombing.
If we need more characters, I'll take up the fairy god mother's daughter. Would she have the same powers as her mother? I do hope we get some more people though!
That's why they recast >__> someone ate Buttercup 1.

Fine! I won't! I can play this game too!

I could see her doing that. It might be fun to have something good happen before the games, at least try to perk up everyone's spirits. Those ages sound about right to me. And yeah, I imagine Prim vs everyone will happen right before they escape the arena, so tensions will be higher when they realize Peeta isn't coming and their plan is pretty fucked. Then she'll have to make up with Katniss and she'll feel really awful for saying whatever because Katniss has done so much for her, and she still thinks she's personally responsible for Katniss being in the Games. Let's face is, Katniss and Haymitch are forever going to be butting heads, haha.

Incorrectly cast Buttercup disapproves of both erections and fun.

Are you suuuure?

We could have it be the night before the Reaping, orrr during the week that they're in the Capitol? I think if we did it in the Capitol, Prim and Katniss might end up with a slightly more edible cake, haha. I imagine at one point Prim will have a fit and say she doesn't need to be protected anymore because she's a lot closer in age to Katniss and Gale this time around and she doesn't want to be treated like she's helpless. Yeaaaaah, that's how I think it's going to happen. They're going to be yelling and then making out. And aw, Prim would probably just hold his hand or lean on him because she's sweet and doesn't need to yell.

Even President Snow approves!

Do you want me to hold off? I have another thread that I can do before this one and wouldn't mind waiting if you need to catch up on your other stuff.

When is his birthday? There's so many fluffy moments that I want to like, free RP in this and just have them exist for the fluff and not the writing ability. I think Haymitch is annoyed by everyone who thinks the Games are entertainment, haha. Prim will literally be so confused. Like, what? A following of what?? And yeah, we did, you're right. Haymitch will be mad if she's drinking because one, he's not allowed to anymore, and two, stop drinking Katniss, you little shit, you have a deadly competition to win.

Loved itt. I'm wondering if I should start on something now or wait until tomorrow.

Gale, you're like twelve. Shut up. Haymitch doesn't want to deal with you right now.

Haha, I think she would be into that. One big happy family :3
Even though Torsten claimed not to be good with modern weaponry, Allison suspected that it would come naturally to him. He had been so sure with the rifle before, not flinching as those men had run toward them, and his skill with that alone made her feel even more safe. She wasn't sure of what was going on in the world, but she knew that Torsten would protect her the same as he had done the night before. When this was all over, if Allison made it to her apartment in Portland, she would have to think of some way to thank him for going above and beyond the normal level of hospitality for a complete stranger. The doctor wasn't sure how she would actually do that, but she had the rest of the day to think about it—after all, the next part of the hike was going to take longer than the beginning.

A comfortable silence fell between she and Torsten, but Allison didn't mind. She was still attempting to calm herself, to beat back her emotions in order to continue on with the rest of the day. It seemed unfair that she wasn't even considered a real doctor yet, and had already lost her first patient. Allison supposed that was just the way things went sometimes and she would have to brace herself for more deaths if she was going to continue on this path in life. For now, she could focus on getting herself to Portland in piece.

When Samuel returned, Allison was surprised to see two horses in tow. They were big, much bigger than any other horses she had seen in her life. Their size was slightly intimidating, but they seemed gentle with Torsten. “Thank you,” she said to Samuel, unable to hold onto her anger when this gesture had been so grand. Although she doubted that she had misjudged this man, he clearly wasn't all bad. As Samuel and Torsten talked, Allison leaned against the barn after toeing off her running shoes. The leather hiking boots fit nicely, and were sure to keep her feet warm as she and the Finn made their way down the mountain.

As Samuel left them, Allison turned back to Torsten and let her hand smooth over the strong neck of the horse. “I'll get the gun,” she said, giving the horse a few more sweet pets before turning to leave. Allison didn't actually know how to ride a horse, but she assumed it couldn't be that difficult. Besides, it was something that needed to be done, and she was ready to get going.

Jogging across the field toward Samuel's barn, Allison pushed open the heavy, weathered doors. They were well-maintained and opened without so much as a creak to reveal the deputy's cruiser and the body of the man, who was now covered with a cloth. The dark-haired woman made a quick sign of the cross. Although she wasn't religious, she was from Boston, and had spent a great deal of time in church. Upon seeing the dead, that was the respectful thing to do. Averting her eyes, Allison moved over to the car and opened the driver side door, looking around for anything that could be of use. She found a few snacks, a protein bar, and some extra ammunition in the glove box, but no gun. She didn't want to, but Allison was going to have to lift the cloth on the body.

Setting the gathered supplies on the hood, Allison approached the lifeless deputy and crouched down at his side, lifting the sheet just enough to expose his hip where the gun was still holstered. She removed it carefully and then thought to look for his wallet. Samuel had mentioned finding his people and if they were on the way, they could have some closure. She recovered the man gently and then carried the supplies back to Torsten.

“I found some things,” she called over to him, but handed off the gun as soon as she was close enough. “His wallet was there, I think we should tell his family.” She looked through it, seeing the man's ID card, and then flipped it over for Torsten to read. “Is that far?”
